An E-mailer From Bizzaro World Looks For Kerry's Documents

Recently, a helpful e-mailer managed to contact me with news of a fascinating blog posting he read in Bizzaro World. With thanks to Murd Nivek, we are able to pass this along:

Bizarro Drum is angry about Kerry's refusal to release his records. In a recent post, he said:

"Kerry won't release his service records for some reason. Apparently, there's something in his record bad enough that it's worth keeping parts of it under wraps (or redacted) despite the problems it's caused.

What do you think it is? Why won't he? How about it, Mr. Reporting-for-Duty? All you have to do is contact the various archives and and tell them to simply assemble every scrap of paper they have regarding your military service and then release it. It's not so hard. Plus IRS records too!"

Here's the list:

1. February 4, 2004
...Of course, much of this controversy could be defused if Bush just voluntarily released his complete service record. If he did that, for example, the Social Security number wouldn't be blacked out on the torn document. Apparently, though, there's something in his record bad enough that it's worth keeping parts of it under wraps (or redacted) despite the problems it's caused. What do you think it is?

2. February 5, 2004
...And needless to say, much of this could be resolved if Bush voluntarily released his entire service file. Why won't he?

3. February 8, 2004
...Can we confirm all this? Only if Bush is genuinely willing to release his entire service record, including the disciplinary action that presumably led to his transfer to ARF. How about it, Mr. Commander-in-Chief? Will you release your full and complete service record, as you promised today on Meet the Press? Or were you just bluffing?

RELEASING THE BUSH RECORDS....
...Really, all Bush has to do is contact the various archives - the Texas Air National Guard archives at Camp Mabry, the Air Reserve archives in Denver, and the national military archives in St. Louis - and tell them to simply assemble every scrap of paper they have regarding his military service and then release it. It's not so hard.

UPDATE: Plus IRS records too!

Well, that's Bizarro World for you! Can't imagine anyone wanting to see Kerry's records here in "reality".

» Document Disclosure: from The Volokh Conspiracy
I don't care much about Swift Vets, Winter Soldiers, Air National Guard stories or draft deferments. I am more concerned about what a prospective President will do over the next four years than what he may have done (or not done) decades ago. And I h... [Read More]
