Arafat's Condition - Spin/Counterspin
Arafat with AIDS? Or was he poisoned?
One can see the spinners at work. We are glad that he is dying in a French hospital, so that we have a slight hope of learning the truth.
Bonus - poisoned by whom? If this is a heavy-metal poisoning done over time, was it really Mossad, or was it a PLO rival? Ahhh!
MORE: Are you kidding? I know nothing about heavy metal poisoning beyond what I hear on the radio. But some multiple low-dose poison administered over-time must be a long-term, inside job. Maybe.

I like AIDS! It brings together so many associations: Arabs... Terrorists... Disease... homosexuals... AIDS... safeguard our precious bodily fluids...

Put the two together. Poisoned with AIDS!
At least I see this as the new fodder for Arab anti-Jew conspiracies. Haven't some Arabs already posited that AIDS is a creation of Jewish scientists? And hasn't Suha Arafat (among many others) claimed that Jews in Israel are poisoning Arab children systematically already? Of course some will put the two together eventually.
It's almost tempting to delve into conspiracy theories about those theories... tempting...

I understand that Arafat was into boys (literally), so I vote for AIDS.

I burned my pancakes this morning. Must have been the Mossad turning up the stove when I wasn't looking.

Could be both...

I vote for AIDS. Just seems that if you are poisoning someone, you would try to bring about a crisis before the victim reaches 75 years of age.

I hate to piss in your cornflakes but effective HIV treatment has been available for 9+ years, becoming rapidly more effective and less toxic each year.
Of course Arafat's age may have made a difference...

Brad, the election is over, you can put yur rabies infested comments away until the next election.
You owe Tom Maguire an appology (which I am sure you will never utter). Did he make those sort of allusions? No, like the rest of us, he is wondering what the heck is going on. Should he monitor his writing with anticipation of the sort of race baiting nonsense that comes from the left. You know that old saw, "If you don't like what the guy is saying accuse him of prejudice".
tsk, tsk.

Capt, I appreciate the support, but I am pretty sure the Prof was just kidding around - the Dr. Strangelove reference seems to tip it. And it is hardly as if the AIDS rumor is my invention in any case.
It is possible that I am just uncharacteristically thick-skinned following the election, but I doubt it - only yesterday I was screaming at a fellow who put too much mocha on my double latte, half-decaf. (KIDDING!)

Nah, there's a much simpler explanation. It was Glenn Reynolds what done it! Notice how when he takes a "holiday" from Instapundit, Arafat gets sick AND Osama releases a video. Are we supposed to believe this is some sort of a coincidence? The only rational explanation is that the "puppy blender" was manipulating things behind the scenes!

Arafat's problems seem more radiation related, virtually all of his symptoms are consistent with radiation sickness. Either he was hiding Saddam's nuclear stash under his bed or the directed energy directorate folks at Kirkland AFB used him as a guinea pig for a radiation weapon test (x ray or gamma ray laser or something more esoteric), who knows the DARPA folks are building some crazy stuff, if you doubt this check out some of the non-black DARPA projects with a Google search.

I'm waiting for someone to blame it on DU.

My secret plan to lure Mr. Den Beste out of semi-retirement is slowly bearing fruit...

I think poisoning is a legitimate theory. You see, Karl Rove carefully plotted Arafat's demise to shortly after the election (to correspond with the invasion of Falluja), in order to divert the attention of the MSM from those pesky exit poll results which demonstrate that Rove's plot to have the fundis take over America is working!!
Also in the works, a devious ploy by Rove to have the Mossad influence America's jewish voters so that Bush can get a larger percentage of their vote in the 2008 election. This whole Araft business is probably a part of this somehow. And lest we forget, Rove is also plotting to repeal the two term limit. All by himself!!! Check out indymedia for any details I may have forgotten.
(This is my plot to lure DenBeste back into blogging. If he can see the depths to which internet analysis has sunk without his presence.)

ok ok, maybe he was joking. With all the post election "americans are unworthy and stupid" fest going on, I ASS-U-ME-D that he was being serious. Appologies to all if this was so.
Maybe AKM72 is right, arafat was poisined by Glenn's special puppy blender concotion. ;)

Or...it could be that he is 75 years old and a resident of a filthy 3rd world patch of ground.

If Yassar was being poisoned over time then all we need to do is get a lock of his hair for analysis.
Of course that might require bribing an orderly and everybody knows the French cannot be bribed.
