Fearing Almost Nothing

As described by Mr. Anderson, a writer with the Manhattan Institute, conservatives established their first beachhead in the early 1990s with talk radio. Then Fox conquered cable news and finally a virtual Mongol horde of conservative-to-libertarian bloggers swept across the Internet. In the 2004 election, these electric horsemen (apologies to Jane Fonda) pulled down Dan Rather and haunted John Kerry's war hero with Swift-boat ghosts.

Glenn has more, including info on his Achilles heel.  This history suggests other parallels (On to Baghdad!), and so does this genetic study.

For myself, a comparison to the Mongol Hordes is fine.  But don't put me and the Swift Vets in a movie with Jane Fonda!

Los Alamos Bloggers Take Director to Task

A blog rebellion among scientists and engineers at Los Alamos, the federal government's premier nuclear weapons laboratory, is threatening to end the tenure of its director, G. Peter Nanos.

The Los Alamos blog is here; there were rumors of a replacement chief a few weeks back.
