'Hope and Change' is sooo 2008 - Team Obama is looking for a new slogan for 2012:
WASHINGTON, Feb 18 (Reuters) - Winning The Future. Greater Together. We Don't Quit.
They may not be official but those are all phrases that could in one form or another be candidates to become President Barack Obama's re-election slogan.
I know we can help.
THE ROAD TO THE FINAL FOUR: Not having even checked I am willing to bet that the winning entries will include either LOL or OMG.
PITCHERS AND CATCHERS HAVING REPORTED... Maybe Obama can bond with the bitter-clingers by resurrecting "We Are Family". Or he could appeal to ironists with "So Happy Together". "Gonna Walk (Before They Make Me Run)"? Probably not. And why am I stuck on popular music when there are so many other roads before me? Over to Hit et al...
PUTTING NEW JERSEY IN PLAY: Would "Better Together" encroach on New Jersey's "Perfect Together"? Is ripping off the NJ slogan really the way Team Obama wants to go? Geez, if they are going to steal a state campaign, why not go with "I Love Obama"? I'm sure someone somewhere (and everyone at the Times) would keep a straight face.
STAYING POSITIVE: "We Don't Quit" is a negative message almost as dumb as Nike's ridiculous "No Fear" campaign. I'm begging you, don't tell athletes what they won't be doing; tell them what they will be doing. And don't tell people not to think of pink elephants unless you want them to do just that.
SKIMMING THE POSSIBILITIES: "Greece is the word"; "Fore More Years"; "Audacity II - The Recovery"...
