I saw that guy on the primary ballot. At least he's not a criminal.
Arkansas will go Mitt in the general, though. It's all local dem's, national rep's for the last few elections.

"said he requested the confirmation eight weeks ago and has not gotten it. Hawaii, he said, does not have to supply a certified copy of the birth certificate, merely send him an email confirming that it has one."
8 weeks and no one in Hawaii's government is willing to confirm they have a birth certificate for Obama?

Definitely Barry as Pres. I can shoot my TV without fear of repercussions (well, legal ones anyway).

Bono?-- to my knowledge he's never made any bones about making tons of money, and obviously he actively avoids taxes using legal means. But it's also the case he has given vast amounts of money and time to charitable causes, while scolding other rich people to follow that example. Honestly, he seems to be following the teaching sof St. Ignatius Loyola. Why is that a problem?

--Honestly, he seems to be following the teaching sof St. Ignatius Loyola. Why is that a problem?--
It's not when he does it personally.
But when he calls for the taxpayers of the West to be forced to follow St Ignatius, by swallowing dictator's debts and being forced to "tithe", as he put it, part of their budgets, he is,
1. Improperly applying Christ's call to personal individual charity to the collective state and,
2. Forcing people who do not share his enthusiasm for St Iggy's example to join him in doing so.
Seems obvious to me why both of those are problems.

Yes Porch, I couldn't believe the gullibility of people regarding Slick's whoppers. Of all his cabinet, I appreciated Stumpy Shalala for at calling him out for lying to them re Monica, about which the red nosed predator didn't take very well.
Tammy Bruce is blasting Sarah Jessica Parker who, to get over the pain of being too old to compete in the Preakness, is hosting a fund raiser for El JEFe because of her impoverished family in Ohio needing help from the government. Somehow the option of helping them out herself seems to be eluding the bright girl.

Porch/CH-- I was in awe of Clinton's ability to lie b/c, I am convinced that when Clinton tells a whopper, he is metphysically certain at that moment he is telling the absolute truth. The pathology of his lying is spectacular. Hillary on the other hand only tells well thought out lies, so she knows when she's lying.

Posted by: Jane | May 18, 2012 at 03:34 PM
Bill's a better liar because he had to lie to Hillary. Obviously plenty of practice in that marriage.
Hillary is a pretty poor liar actually, because (ala Cattle Futures) she never had to worry about if her lies were believable or not since the Press wouldn't ever question her. Whatever she tossed out there was good enough for the MSM, until of course she ran across the Bosnian Tarmac dodging bullets with 2 Obama supporters, and for the first time ever she found one of her completely bulls#$t lies questioned.
BTW, how stupid does a reporterette have to be to know that Jesse Jackson is married, to realize he's already been caught fathering a kid with another gal, yet still start up a fling with the Reverend?

Breaking! It just keeps getting better:
Liz Warren is now Cole Porter!
"Two of the possibly plagiarized recipes, said in the Pow Wow Chow cookbook to have been passed down through generations of Oklahoma Native American members of the Cherokee tribe, are described in a New York Times News Service story as originating at Le Pavilion, a fabulously expensive French restaurant in Manhattan."
"Crab with Tomato Mayonnaise Dressing," was a favorite of Cole Porter!
DID ELIZABETH WARREN PLAGIARIZE HER 'POW WOW CHOW' RECIPES?
Fab! So Obama the Kenyan is channelling Bono, and Liz the Cherokee is channelling Cole Porter.
Or maybe she's Wallis Warfield Simson: "The (plagarized) dishes were said to be particular favorites of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor"
DoT, when Wallis came to visit, did your aunt's ever mention Cherokee Tomato mayonnaise?
Posted by: daddy | May 18, 2012 at 03:59 PM
And now Alan Dershowitz channels Tom Maguire:
From Megyn's show, responding about the released evidence:
"Almost all the media recognizes the situation has changed. The one media that hasn't is The New York Times. The New York Times still reports as if the evidence is overwhelming that Zimmermann is guilty, indeed they end a story in today's newspaper shockingly by quoting an unnamed source that made a phone call to the police alleging that Zimmermann may have some racist tendencies. That violates the Times own policy about sourcing. They would never have written such a statement about an unsourced allegation by an unnamed person regarding Trayvon Martin. The Times has a position on this case and it allows that position to influence it's reporting."
Posted by: daddy | May 18, 2012 at 04:07 PM
Or maybe she's Wallis Warfield Simson: "The (plagarized) dishes were said to be particular favorites of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor"

Just back from a day in Northern Louisiana running around in the woods with paratroopers. These guys dress up as Afghans and play the opposing force to much larger units. Great merriment for them. Not so merry for the Regular Army chasing them.
We were honored at lunch by the presence of the base commander, a 1 star of Hawaiian/Chinese/Japanese background; in other words an average American.
It's nice to think of this as the alternative normal to the lunacy we have to deal with when we become too addicted to the political and news cycles.
I would rather be arguing the merits of running around the Afghan mountains with a 100 lb+ rucksack fighting Afghans running around with an AK and 3 magazines with a 24 year old Spec 4 than the alternate universe of Warren and Trayvon any day.

Here's a Mason-Dixon LV poll, 3 points overweight Dem and 3-4 points underweight white, which counterbalances the FNC silliness yesterday. It has Romney over Obama at 47-44 with 9% undecided. The 80% support level among the ever shrinking group who still identify themselves as Democrats is consonant with the President's proven ability to drive away the semi-faithful.
