And dat was a "foist", for once.

Melinda Romanoff

Oh.

My.

Gawd.

Too effin' funny.

Obama will not return campaign contributions from Bain Capital.

Is he in it only for the cash?

Hahahahahahaha!

If I google "that other guy" and go to images, the first result is:

I think Rush has him beat. For now.

But number three* on the results for "that other guy" I think merits more recognition:

Apparently the fair gentle lady (who will get cut off due to the 400 pixel limit here) on the right had the same shirt as the fine gentleman on the left, and the brother of the gentle fair lady was concerned. Or saw an opportunity to mock.

One or the other.

*number two appears to be a fry cook somewhere. I'm not risking angering Michelle by linking him.

Melinda Romanoff

Pretty mean use of Tarot in the first pic. I think he really means it!

Melinda Romanoff

If it's Tarot.

Looks like a Queen of Clubs to me.

Captain Hate,

Second guy of the season died today on Mt McKinley.

This one was a Finnish guy who was skiing down a slope at the 17,000 level called "The Orient Express", when he lost control and tumbled 2,000 feet into a crevasse.

Park Service spokesguy says this "is the 16th fatality to have occurred during a descent of the Orient Express route."

The Climber's are obviously suffering early season difficulties, but I've got to hand it to the ADN Commenters, who seem to be in fine Mid-Season form:

Comment 1) "I think he is finnish climbing."

Comment 2) "I do believe, but could be wrong as it has been a long time, that it was named the "Orient Express" because Japanese climbers had a propensity for falling down it."

narciso

How about comment no 3;

Don't call that a climbing death, call that a skiing death. He seemed to climb up just fine.

daddy

Gretta has on the Wisconsin Lt Governor, Scott Walkers partner.

What a pretty lady:

Speaks decently also.

rse

Ah. That's roughly red's hair collar daddy. I call it copper penny red.

LUN is another article on the Claremont McKenna SAT fraud. It is concerning that it did not cost their place in US News Top 10. That reenforces my view that those rankings have become a reward for "proper PC policies".

I just birthed another post called "Gypsy Principals, Gypsy Supers, and Engrenage: 3 More Superb Things to Know". If you are in Atlanta metro, Charlotte, Dallas, Nevada, or anywhere in Colorado, you will find I am writing about you. Elsewhere you may start to recognize when you have an incoming Gypsy Super.

I am finally learning to type with cat who wants to snuggle and get scratched. She thinks I have misplaced priorities.

FOX just ran this sad story on a 26 year old man just released from prison after his rape accuser recanted. One-time top Calif. football prospect exonerated

From the story: "the woman, Wanetta Gibson...said she had lied; there had been no kidnap and no rape and she offered to help him clear his record, court records state."

"she refused to repeat the story to prosecutors because she feared she would have to return a $1.5 million payment from a civil suit brought by her mother against Long Beach schools."

"During a second meeting that was secretly videotaped, she told Banks, "'I will go through with helping you, but it's like at the same time all that money they gave us, I mean gave me, I don't want to have to pay it back...'"

The story says she may not be prosecuted because the charge happened so long ago and she was only 15.

Is that possible that she will get off scot free for having ruined this guys life? Frightening.

A short goodbye to Fitzgerald -

Don’t Let Door Hit You on Way Out, Pat

Captain Hate

The story says she may not be prosecuted because the charge happened so long ago and she was only 15.

Sure, it's only the taxpayers of Long Beach that were lied to for a cool $1.5 meeyun. Time for a big hug for everybody.

Jane

Ceilings.My bedstand wishes to you.

I love laughing in the morning. If you go to the LUN (his name) the guy sells hats. Are you sure you don't want one?

Plus Capn, they prosecuted, convicted and put away the guy. She should do twice as much time and every penny the family has should be seized.

sailor

"Should do twice as much time," but not necessarily will. Sad and pitiful.

Captain Hate

Jane, the guy who was prosecuted was just on the Today show and he was strangely non-judgemental regarding the lying ho-bag who testified against him. That's ok, I guess, for him but the state has an interest in pursuing the accuser's family for profiting from the sham charges. And if I were a Long Beach taxpayer, I'd be on top of the local officials to do exactly that.

Speaking of the Today show, they're in full campaign fellatio mode as a low level turd just referred to "the booming economy".

I think TM should get on board the expose Brett Kimberlin day activities by shining a light on that maggot. At the very least Patterico's blog entry should be linked.

peter

Jane, my antivirus is blocking that new era baratas site as malicious.

Jane

Jane, the guy who was prosecuted was just on the Today show

This one was a Finnish guy who was skiing down a slope at the 17,000 level called "The Orient Express", when he lost control and tumbled 2,000 feet into a crevasse.
Three of my fraternity brothers and members of my back country ski group skied McKinley maybe 25 years ago. Everyone else was using snowshoes and the like, and they were able to go up and down much more quickly as a result of being on skis - met a party on their way down about half way that they had passed on the way up.

I am glad that I didn't go, as I later discovered that I have a susceptibility to HAPE. At that time, thought that it may have only been a genetic predisposition, but turns out that I do get it when I am not very careful when staying for a couple of nights at maybe 11k or so or higher. Almost killed one of my brothers a decade earlier. Also, family friend was snowed in with her dead boyfriend who had died from the cerebral version on McKinley around that time.

Got in trouble a couple of days ago with the womenfolk when discussing the events on Everest last week - Grand Central Station with maybe 150 trying to summit in one day, and the traffic jams causing some of the descending climbers to run out of O2. Last I saw, there were eight or so deaths. The womenfolk got all hung up on the deaths, and missed the humor about the traffic jams.

That is the problem, in my mind. The reason that these mountains are worth the effort, as well as the extreme skiing that has gone up a couple of levels since I was of that age, etc., is that there is danger there. With danger comes death, and without those deaths, and the inherent danger, these activities would lose their allure.

And, people have to do ever more extreme things in order to risk their lives, since life for most of us has become so safe. Let me add that I have always been a bit risk adverse for a guy. Which is just fine for me, as I safely transition into my 60s. But, I think that the species needs some who are willing to risk it all.

centralcal

Wow, Captain Hate, that Kimberlin story is beyond frightening. Patterico, Ace of Spades, Stacy McCain...it seems like no blog is safe from these assholes.

Where is law enforcement? What is their damned excuse?

DebinNC

Hit, remember the "pastor" who recently said: "Build a great big large fence 50 or 100 miles long," Worley said according to the video posted on YouTube. "Put all the lesbians in there. Fly over and drop some food. Do the same thing with the queers and the homosexuals. Have that fence electrified so they can't get out. You know what, in a few years, they'll die out. You know why? They can't reproduce."

His little church, near Lake Norman, is the site of a massive protest march scheduled on Sunday. I imagine they're already gathering there. Just fyi.

Back to yesterday's jimmyK's posts about the bogus Carney orders to the media to portray the Once as "fiscally responsible". The Weekly Standard is not letting go, they keep hammering Carney and 'Bam with -- well -- the facts. Bush's FY 2009 proposed budget increased spending 3%, after TARP spending and STIMULUS!, the Once increased FY 2009 spending 17% -- more than 5 times more than Bush's budget. AND Once kept alot of that additional spending in the Baseline to make it permanent. About $300Billion of current spending is pure Obamanomic FAT-- cut that fat out NOW. There are about $150BIllion of TEMP tax cuts- restore those taxes now they do nothing to grow the economy because they are temporary. Thus, 30% of the current annual Fed deficit is Obamanomics. 30% of the deficit is the structural deficit that preceded Obamanomics. That leaves $500B that is caused by the ongoing Obama recession -- a combination of retarded payroll and cap gains tax collections and high long term unemployment insurance costs. Kick out Obama and the economy picks up immediately. The Indy voters have a gut feeling about all this-- that's why the Once desperately throws anything up on the wall. Fiscally responsible-- my Greek ass he is: http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/morning-examiner-obamas-spending-binge/562866

Clarice

Herman Caine has been backing Stacey McCain in this. If you live in Md you might write the Governor and ask why they aren't prosecutng Kimberlin.

I think he may well have received all that money in his 501(c)(3) because he was doing black bag jobs for the Dems.Teresa plowed a significant amount into his coffers before the Kerry/Bush electon and so did Tides which she regularly used then to launder her "gifts" to left wingers.

GMAX

Some are starting to declare that the emperor might actually be dancing in his birthday suit! Here:

one can see the pieces of a Romney landslide assembling here and there – an unemployment rate that remains stubbornly high, chronic underemployment, Americans dropping out of the labor force and young people unable to begin careers, gas prices that are high enough to pinch the wallets but not getting the hype of 2008, a vagueness to Obama’s second-term agenda, a Supreme Court declaration that Obama’s signature domestic accomplishment actually violated the Constitution… and a Republican nominee who, for whatever his flaws, has built his career on finding struggling businesses and endeavors like the Olympics that need to turn things around quickly.

hit and run

Deb:
His little church, near Lake Norman, is the site of a massive protest march scheduled on Sunday. I imagine they're already gathering there. Just fyi.

Good to know. Maiden is apparently west of Norman . . . we'll be on the NE side of the lake.

You know you're invited if you want to come up.

Interesting note about Lake Norman. After PUK passed away one of his friends from the UK and I became email buddies for a time. He comes to Lake Norman every year to visit with friends. We tried for a couple of years to get together, but never successfully. Alas, we have not kept up the emails for a while now.

My guess is that no one is going to investigate anyone who has been approved by John Kerry's wife.

DebinNC

I guess Obama is counting as Bush's the remaining $350 billion/second half of the TARP funds which Obama asked Bush to release days before his inauguration? The panic had passed by then, so Bush didn't intend to spend that money. Would it still be there for Obama to spend if Bush hadn't released it at his request? If so, Obama must even then have calculated that he could put it on Bush's tab and use it against him now.

Rob Crawford

Where is law enforcement? What is their damned excuse?

They don't see the entire case. With Patterico, he reported what must appear to the FBI agent looking at it as a phone prank. Sure, it was a nasty one, and, yeah, laws were broken -- but why spend time on a phone prank? That agent doesn't see the rest of the harassment, and if he did, well, as others have pointed out -- this guy's got ties to REALLY high government officials.

Jane

This joke just appeared in my mailbox. My second laugh of the day:

--The reason that these mountains are worth the effort, as well as the extreme skiing that has gone up a couple of levels since I was of that age, etc., is that there is danger there.--

Yeah but when the danger has become 150 amputees, children and 60 year old school marms getting into a traffic jam on Everest you know that mountain has become an embarrassment to climbing, or at least the way it is treated has.

Jane

Deb - he's also saying the 2009 budget, not signed by Bush, but created by the democrat Congress accrues to Bush. So essentially he isn't counting 2009 which includes TARP, Stimulus and a zillion other things.

DublinDave

Speaking of Rush, why do so many Republicans look like pigs?

I know Dems aren't a pretty lot either, but there's an unusual trend appearing among right-wing Pundits and Politicicans.

Swine-like features.

Rush Limbaugh looks like a pig had sex with his mother and produced a little Oxycontin addicted hog.And Karl rove......Jesus that's like a man-pig from a science fiction movie.

I know this post offers very little in terms of substance, but I was just wondering is there some kind of laboratory in the middle of some wooded area where we're experimenting with Pig and human DNA?????

That would explain alot.Perhaps human compassion has been replaced with "pig compassion".

The problem is our side doesn't play by the same rulebook as the other side does. It would be much easier to demonize a creep like Soros than, say, the Koch brothers yet the mooks on "our side" take a pass on it. I'm as far from a single issue voter if you can get but I really want Soros out of my country and I have no confidence in any Repuke to do that.

Captain Hate

Larry Flynt must really need attention since I'm sure the internet has cut into his garbage porn profits. Maybe he's hoping for another movie for the navel gazers.

From PJ Media, a little more info on Obama's literary agent Dystel:

"Jane Dystel, Barack Obama’s literary agent from 1990 until 2004, has represented former fugitive and Weatherman terrorist Mark Rudd from some point in the late 1980s until today. Rudd has published two books: the 1990 memoir Truth and Consequences: The Education of Mark Rudd, and 2009’s Underground: My Life with SDS and the Weathermen."

Agent to the bombers..just a coincidence she represented Obama, too?

I mean that in the sense with all the Ayers stuff, now known, this is all starting to fall together like loading up the remaining slots in a slide projector carousel.

"When one of the top stories is the beautiful conservative SE Cupp being defamed by the uber-swine, left wing Democrat Larry Flynt, it takes someone as monumentally retarded as wee davey boy to write something as idiotic as that 9:28 comment."

I can't even claim that Cupp was a victim of satire because she herself has fostered and presented her "brain in the body of a porn actress" persona for so long.

Dear God,she's even doing the "naughty librarian" act with the dark specs.

So if some smut peddler runs with it and creates an artists rendition of what we're all thinking anyway, then S.E Cupp-sieze has only herself to blame.

Naughty librarian....that's a classic.

Mark Folkestad

Mel, funny you should mention slide carousels. I bought a couple of them cheap at Goodwill a couple of months ago. The only problem is that the motor on my Kodak Carousel projector focus is shot, and it is devilishly hard finding someone to work on it these days. Most of my slides are loose in various boxes these days. I never had time to put the slides back, after the burglars who trashed me took the retaining rings off the carousels and scattered them all over the house. The deputy who answered my call ignored my warnings and walked over several important slides and destroyed them. Sigh.

Ignatz

Gee wee davey, even I didn't think you could make yourself look like such a sexist, misogynistic little shit as you did with that 11:22.

I guess like all rape victims, whether virtual or real, she had it coming, huh?

DublinDave

Again with the "rape"?

Look,if you're in the public eye and you intentionally craft a public persona then don't be surpirsed if someone excercises their first amendement right and satirizes that persona.

It's ugly and sexist but it is based in truth and S.E.x Cupp bares some of the blame for providing the fuel.

btw...if Elizabeth Warren or Debi washerwoman shultz got the same treatment, i'd laugh it off as the product of a sick and depraved mind.

You're obviously willing to say anything, regardless of how tasteless, irrelevant, or untrue it is, as long as it pushes the narrative you've latched onto or slanders people you don't like. Speaking of those Madison Bomber's from the 70's, I'm still trying to get some understanding of what this former convicted Madison Bomber was doing driving around Chicago on the NATO protest weekend, with $800,000 hidden in secret compartments in his RV that he didn't know anything about at all.

UW-Madison Bomber Arrested After $800K Found in RV

Who has the ability and the interest to give these ex-convicted bombers so much money, besides George Soros and the DNC? It sure ain't Mom and Pop America coughing up the dough.

AliceH

I'm interested in that story, too, daddy.

Here's a longer report, that includes this line "Investigators who processed the money said it smelled strongly of cannabis."

So...probably drug money, not Soros money. That doesn't explain whether he was picking it up, or delivering it - or who the other parties in the transactions might be.
