JM Hanes

One of them is a dedicated Benghazi thread.

LePan acknowledges an increased presence of our military in Jordan. See LUN.

Yeah! Page 21. This post can now imbibe adult beverages!

Have Blue

Looks like other people have the same idea. 1997 now. And two new threads.

hit and run

Whew.

Was it good for you?

Have Blue

Who gets the big 2000?

Have Blue

Anybody see the Project Veritas report? Won't have time to really dig into it before I go to work today.

Have Blue

And a sudden flurry of comments get us up to 2005. Well I guess I'll catch up tonight when I get home and find out who the lucky one was.

I believe that would be you, Have Blue.

hit and run

The real question: Who gets the last comment?

kave

Goodbye Saturday, it was nice knowin' ya.

kave

It would appear to be me.

jimmyk

The really lucky one is 2012.

jimmyk

I mean 2013.

kave

Now you're being silly:)

Manuel Transmission

Ok, I'll drop one in here. (I'm usually the backup threadkiller.) Heh.

Jack is Back!

Compelling stuff on CSpan. What a bunch of weasels. Another "evolving" situation and position. It is incompetence of the highest order. Christina Lamb will be fortunate not to have criminal charges brought against her and if Patrick Kennedy is the person Sandy Daze says he is then he is hiding something.

...and excepting some kind of one off event,
But, NK, that's exactly what I am arguing, that the Obamacare re-classification of "part time" from >40 hrs/wk to >30hrs/wk is a 10-on-the-ricter-scale class of one-off event.

And it's not just retail/food service -- EVERY part-time job everywhere matters. Haven't you worked in an office with both full-time and part-time clerical staff? When there is extra work to be done it goes to the part-timers -- if a 25 hr/wk secretary works 6 hours extra, they pay her straight time, whereas the full-timer would cost time-and-a-half. Overtime is ONLY time-and-a-half -- the penalties for nudging that 25 hour-a-weeker into the 31 hr/wk range are huge.

Another factor that I have not seen discussed at all is the part timers who WANT to be part timers. Long ago I worked in an office with a secretary who worked 15 hrs/wk. She was mostly a stay-at-home mom, and her husband had his own business as a field engineer. (These are the guys who fix computers and other high-tech equipment, and they bill out at like $300/hr.) She worked just enough hours that her after-tax income was completely consumed by the family health-insurance premiums. The company was happy with the arrangement -- they got to keep an experienced long-time secretary working for them. She was happy with the arrangement -- the insurance premiums were much lower than in the individual market. But Obamacare has huge penalties for employers when workers spend 90% of their income on health insurance premiums -- are the employers going to have to just fire people like this?

Rick Ballard

HB, TK.

I assume you were a little slow on this thread due to over celebrating.

Ranger

My bad on the party ID.

JM Hanes

A very rare phenom, Ranger!

Sbwaters

Will the last commenter out please turn off the . . .

Thomas Collins

This thread refuses to fade away! Perhaps the LUN will "death panel" it!

Frau Steingehirn

It dies when I post all alone three times in a row.

Frau Steingehirn

See, we did fly this one all the way to the ground.

Frau Steingehirn

Does TM look all rested?

I think the tan is the give-away. LOL

"A professional typographer with 50 years experience has submitted to investigators looking into fraud allegations and to judges in court cases his conclusion that the image of Barack Obama’s 1961 birth certificate released by the White House early last year is a forgery

But he’s received no response, and now Paul Irey is trying to take his concerns directly to voters.

He has created a full-page newspaper ad that covers seven of the most significant problems with the Obama document so that voters can see the evidence.

Irey, who worked with fellow imaging expert Douglas Vogt on the ad, told WND that he’s been frustrated that the evidence he’s documented hasn’t produced more results.

He said, “This is the most effective way to present our evidence of forgery –with a graphic that diagrams direct references to the proof.”

He explained he picked the seven pieces of evidence because they are simple to explain, but there are at least a dozen more points.

The ad, which could appear in a few days in a major metro daily, explains that Irey and Vogt “have found 20 proofs of forgery on this document so far.”

“We found this birth certificate to be a badly done forgery and we are now halfway through a book on the subject. Allegedly in 1961, a typewriter produced this document on a form. … The evidence shows us that the document was created last year on a computer using a Macintosh and sending two copies of that to the White House.”

They explained they have reached out to more than 225 of the estimated 2,000 certified forensic document examiners in the U.S. for a review of the evidence.

“All of them refused to even look at or discuss the Obama birth certificate,” the ad states"

I will look it up, Jane.

Not quite.

So is this the end, Biden said to Paul Ryan.

And Biden was also wrong.

I learned a long time ago never try to get the last word in on a lady.

Jane - Mock the media

Smart man!

daddy

You're a bunch of losers over here trying to get in the last word on a long thread!

Do you hear me? You're a bunch of losers.

That's right, I said it! A bunch of losers.

Anybody stupid enough to think its worthwhile trying try to get in the last comment on a long thread is a loser. LOSER! Loser's from Loserville! That's what you Loser's are. Losers!

You're all a bunch of Losers!, and the biggest Loser of all is the Loser that posts the next comment on this thread.

Loser!

Have Blue

Last word?

daddy

Loser.

Jane - Mock the Media!

I am certainly not a loser! Harrumph!

Have Blue

Neither am I.

Jane - Mock the Media!

I never intended for this to go this far.

Have Blue

But not further than I jane.

Jane - Mock the Media!

Ya think?

Have Blue

Absolutely!

Have Blue

Jane - Did you ever check out Jim Vicevich's radio show? I never caught up on the thread I posted that in.

Jane - Mock the Media!

I didn't. SOmething intervened and I forget what.

(All replies should be posted in a current thread, as this one will be closed after this comment.)

Have Blue

Oh sure Jane.

Have Blue

His website is still radioviceonline.com.

Have Blue

I don't usually listen as he is the 0900 to 1200 time block and I work to 2300 nights.

Jane - Mock the Media!

I will check it out.

Have Blue

I hope you like it.

Jane - Mock the Media!

I hope I do too.

Have Blue

As I said he is more libertarian than conservative, got into media through economics.

Have Blue

I remember when he was the business/economics correspondent on the local Hartford television news. Breath of fresh air back when I was in my teens.

Jane - Mock the Media!

Hmmm that's pretty cool.

Have Blue

You know if you and I keep this up we might get this over 2100.

Have Blue

First comment last week was at 1158.

Jane - Mock the Media!

I predict we don't have enough time.

Jane - Mock the Media!

Yes but how long before that was the post made?

Have Blue

Don't know as there is no time stamp on posts, only dates.

Jane - Mock the Media!

Perhaps I should concede.

Subject: I'll give you $5M to coordinate closing the Saturday thread early

..so that I get the last comment.

I'll give you $1M to give me the exact time the post went up (so I can time getting the last comment).

Of course, I have to admit, I don't have $5M. Nor $2M. Not even $1M. But I can offer my undying devotion. I've got plenty of that.

BTW, soooooo glad you are back. That's the most important thing.

That and me getting the last comment on the Saturday thread. But mostly you being back.

Have Blue

And why do I always try to type 'now' for 'know' and have to go back and correct it. I don't remember having to do that when I was a young buck.

(Course it is a lot harder to correct that when typing on paper which I would have been doing when younger.)

Jane - Mock the Media!

yeah right

Jane - Mock the Media!

Look at that Hit - he thinks he can bribe our host. How horrid can a man be?

Have Blue

You know (not now) back when I made my 1033 comment I thought about writing that I predicted hit and run would show up before it closed. But I said to myself, "Myself I don't want to libel Mr. hit and run that way."

Jane - Mock the Media!

(I guess that depends on whether TM takes the bribe.)

Hit why not give Have Blue and I the money to stop posting?
