The Sunday NY Times explains the apparent lack of a Pentagon response in Benghazi: the Quick Response Team was training in Croatia, the nearest AC-130 gunship was in Afghanistan, and a Delta team scrambled from North Carolina was too far away and too late. The good news? Obama was TOTALLY on it. The bad news? Expecting the Pentagon to respond quickly to trouble in the Med or the Middle East on a 9-11 anniversary is expecting too much. This will be a tough couple of days for the Times since they can't report anything but Admin spin on Benghazi and Staten Island until Wednesday.
