Patriot4Freedom had it well on the other thread:

This Memorial Day, may we all remember a family member, loved one, or friend who gave their life for our freedom - and may we take a moment to honor their memory, and their sacrifice . . .

hope he doesn't mind that I copy-and-pasted his comment but he said it better than I could.

Happy, happy, joy, joy Ignatz

--On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today --

He must have been at The Tomb of the Unknown Comic. :)

I think MO had to slap the JEF around a little to sober him up and get him to the Memorial Day service at the Tomb of the Unknowns, Rich is why he was so late.

Of course that's rank speculation on my part but she sure had him in her sights as he swaggered in…finally.

When he was introduced by Hagel I switched over to Fox Business News. They're having an Oliver North War Stories marathon going on over there.

"Rich is why he was so late."

What? He was helping do Rich's Math Lab homework?

Oops, meant to post to this more appropriate thread:

Someone noted that Google couldn't be bothered coming up with a Memorial Day decoration for its front page, like it probably did for Kwanzaa or Cinco de Mayo.

A fairly small crowd but a very moving memorial day ceremony today at Corozal American Cemetery.

Thanks, Clarice, for that marvelous link (prior thread) to the Evan Sayet video. I had not heard of him, and I usually don't watch videos, especially not 29 minute ones, but that was fantastic and fun from start to finish!

For those who missed it, here's the link:

We met Sayet several years ago at one of Horowitz's gatherings. Very enjoyable fellow on a one on one basis, too. Obviously a quick wit.

Secretarey Hagel, Secretary Shinseki, and I have your backs!"
