Porchlight

It makes me sick to my stomach when he quotes the Bible.

squaredance

Porch: my guess is somewhere between 60% to 80% of his supporters turn out for Hillary.

If it really gets bad, she will pick him for the VP slot.

The Bernie supporters are hard leftist or useful idiots.

I do not think that they are "waking up" at all. A few, but not the majority of them.

And remember they rejected Hillary because she was not a pure enough communist for them.

squaredance

as I said earlier, this is the whole point and "Action" means more rights down the tube, more federal control and more power and money to the NOmenlklatura.

That is all that it is about. they created the problem and will now exploit it, and you will not hear peep out of anyone else about opposing this. THis will be a "powerful speech", not a slap in the face of America.

It is all quite vile; it is all quite insane.

Michael (fpa Patriot4Freedom)

TV pics showed that George W and Laura were pointedly *not* clapping at the end of the speech by 'The Despicable Race Baiter-in-Chief.'

I expect that the refusal to clap will get plenty of airtime from the equally despicable MFM.

.

Porchlight

I agree, squaredance, that's why I said "some" of his supporters.

There are a bunch of them out there who are really really mad, though. We'll see if they get over it. Many who at least claim to be Bernvictims have joined the Trump fans on Reddit.

Porchlight

I expect that the refusal to clap will get plenty of airtime from the equally despicable MFM.

Good. Shouldn't clap after eulogies anyway.

"Nice to know the Cops didn't act stupidly. "

I believe that was said in the private meeting with law enforcement representatives this week but not reported by "Joseph Goebbels" Josh Earnst (born 1975).

The White House task force on 21st century policing made recommendations that some cities have adopted, but Mr. Obama has said more of them need to follow suit.

“By doing so, we don’t just ensure that the rights of all citizens are protected, we also make sure that law-enforcement officials who have a very dangerous job are also protected,” Mr. Earnest said. Police officers, he said, “can be more effective in fighting crime if they can work effectively with the community.”

squaredance

“can be more effective in fighting crime if they can work effectively with the community.”

Which means that the Fed are bypassing state governments and directly trying to govern cities.

And please strop telling us about the "rights" of protected classes.

The fact of the matter is that more blacks are committing crimes. They whole garbage about "discrimination" is just a lie.

After all these years, you would think that people would wake up, but the "black community" will not hold themselves responsible, This is why they are not a "community" at all but rather the clients of the democrat party.

Frau ich verstehe die Welt nicht mehr

Joe 'Gravitas' Biden, did spill the beans about how Pres. Blech felt about local law enforcement:

“And he (Pres. Blech) said, ‘But you also have to recognize that there is still institutional discrimination. That doesn’t just exist in policing. It exists in many other areas, hiring, housing, etc. And you’ — and so, then they started talking, and said, ‘Well, maybe we, the law enforcement organization, should reach out and say, look, we understand why you may be concerned about how we deal with you, but here’s — let’s have a conversation, tell us what it is specifically.”

In other news today, LoLY refuses to discuss a single thing about the Hillary! Get-Out-of-Jail ticket. Can't make her. She apparently doesn't owe the public anything. Can't she be locked up in the basement unisex restroom?

Of course, the pesky Repuke politicians are keeping her from her important tour to promote Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS!!!!!!!)

BJ may be kept waiting on some tarmac.

rse

I did watch it and he wants to be able to lie and create grievance and then have us all share the pain created through manipulation as if this is all righteous and grounded in facts.

The hardest part about what he said 'we' should be doing is that these are the practices being forced on every classroom in the name of Positive School Climate and Restorative Justice. He talks about the separation of powers when he flounts it consistently. He wants to use institutions that enable him and destroy those that do not.

squaredance

If the GOPe had any b@lls they would impeach here. Just the Airport meeting is enough for that.

They are being made fools of in front of the nation and they either are oblivious to it, or do not care.

A shameful performance all round.

What is sad is that Lynch is a 4th rate sort of person If she was not black, she would not even get into a low level sate AG office.

Obama, Holder, Lynch, Clinton, Sanders...these are the people destroying America.

How weak and silly we have become.

Yoo-hoo, Mrs. Ginsburg!

Code of conduct for Unitd States judges:

(1) act as a leader or hold any office in a political organization;

(2) make speeches for a political organization or candidate, or publicly endorse or oppose a candidate for public office; or

(3) solicit funds for, pay an assessment to, or make a contribution to a political organization or candidate, or attend or purchase a ticket for a dinner or other event sponsored by a political organization or candidate.

Jack is Back! (As Mr. Fixit)

Waiting to get my CD of my MRI they had the speech on. Couldn't hear all of Chief Brown's introduction but I was surprised at the standing ovation and wondered if it was for Brown's remarks or Obama? Can anyone venture their guess?

But anyway I am on my iPhone looking at emails and texts and I hear laughter. I thought the other guy in the room had changed the channel but it was Prez OkieDoke evidently making a funny at a memorial service. Now don't get me wrong, there is always a little levity or humor in remarks at funerals for those who have passed and are Fathers, brothers, Vets, etc. from family or friends whohin knew them.

But this is a memorial service for 5 police officers who were unceremonisously assassianated by a crazed and offended black man who didn't give a shit about OkieDokes sense of humor. Idiot.

Not only him but the asshole millenials who write his crap and adore the nothingburger of a leader we have. What a miserable 8 years we will have endured.

rse

Another deeply disturbing inappropriate thing bo said was to use personal anecdotes to highlight the loss of the men in baton rouge and st paul.

The story about alton sterling was something about how he always cooked enough food for everyone and how gentle castile was. Something about the gentle giant with dreadlocks.

Honestly the extent to which the media and the President cannot stop preceding 'protest' with the word 'peaceful' EVERY SINGLE TIME suggests to me that they really are not sure there wasn't more coordination than they want to admit to.

Buckeye

Jack

How is the knee progressing?

Sounds like you have been walking the dogs on the beach, but maybe I am reading more into your posts than I should?

At any rate, praying for a full recovery.

daddy

JeB! “You’re a Catholic blaming the pope?” interviewer and former Bush staffer Nicolle Wallace wondered.

“No, no, I’m not blaming,” Bush said with a laugh. “I mean, [I had] been talking about basically open borders at a time when the whole Trump phenomena was to build a wall and let, make Mexico pay for where he goes — literally goes to the border for a massive Mass.”

Bush added, “And he had every right to preach the gospel there. But I don’t think he should be intervening. I don’t know if he understood that he was intervening in our political affairs.”

So the Pope orchestrates a Mass on the Mexican/US Border for illegals, but the Pope's too stupid to understand that that will have any influence in US Political affairs?

Captain Hate

I guess the Paul Wellstone funeral set the baseline for commiecrat behavior at a memorial service.

I'm heartbroken that the families of the slain officers had to listen to his speech. They are probably still so grief stricken that hopefully what he said is all a blur.
We need to keep the families in our thoughts and prayers.

Captain Hate

Hopefully the families stayed away from the service knowing what to expect. Nobody should be surprised by this.

Buckeye,

I am walking unaided but a definite limp, not bad but a limp. I bike, workout every day and take PT once a week. I installed a full gym in our Southampton house. Bike, Rowing machine, heavy bag, table, weights and TRX system.

But its bone on bone and just want to get the leg and muscles stronger so when I do decide what to do in re replace or stem cell therapy, etc. I can cut down the rehab time.

Everyday, I take the beagles on a long drive along the beach and we usually stop at Dunes Beach where there is a long boardwalk up to the ocean. They like that and so do I since the walk hems them in and its easier on me to control them. They are beagles after-all.

Thanks for asking.

See, "gentle people" who have criminal records and who illegally have guns, and who have girlfriends who evidently lie for them.

Obama brings this up merely to create a sense of moral equivalency, and it is based on bald, open lies. And he is not called on it.

Oh, and it is not some "Millennial" who writes speeches like this; it is a team of professional, communist propagandists.

Home invasions are just not going to go well nor planned carjackings. Red made a comment about wanting to see what kind of pistol the fashionista favored.

Newt on the Speech some of us just watched.

Cute Blonde Host:...What did you make of the President's response?

Newt: Well I read his speech and I thought it was a good speech, because President Obama knows how to give good speeches. I thought it drifted off from the Police back to other problems that it might not have necessarily done, but I think it's very sad that Gallop came out this morning and said that we may be at the worst, the lowest state of our relationship between the races in 17 years. And I just think there's something really sad when you've had the first African American President, a very articulate person, a man who speaks back in Philadelphia in 2008, was historic and sweeping in his offer of a more unified America, and yet we've gotten the opposite. And I think because he's so Liberal, or because his allies are so Liberal, I think it's very hard for the President to deal with the real core underlying problem, and as a result, despite the good speeches, I think that he is not likely in the end to leave office having brought us together.

Host:...We continue to see protests in US cities across this country, and not only do we see these protests, we see these mounting threats to our Police. Do you have any ideas of how to combat this problem.

Newt: Sure. We should make it illegal to threaten the Police. I think somebody who says "Kill Cops" frankly should go to jail. I think we have to draw a very sharp line here. Advocating violence against the Police is advocating violence against the very fabric of our Society. The Police domestically, the Military overseas, are the key patterns that keep us safe and I think we have to be very tough with people who threaten our Policemen.

Host: We saw the testimony from AG Loretta Lynch today on Capitol Hill. The decision as we now know is in the hands of the DOJ, whether or not to pursue a perjury investigation against Hillary Clinton. What does it mean? What are the optics if the DOJ says no?

Newt: When you watch, from Bill Clinton visiting the Attorney General on her airplane, to Hillary Clinton saying she would probably reappoint her as Attorney General, to her over 74 times today, Catherine Herridge told me, over 74 times today Attorney General Lynch refused to answer a question. You look at all that. No wonder the American People think Washington's corrupt, and Washington's sick, and no wonder they think the fix is in. I think this is a very, very alarming situation. I don't see how you can have an Attorney General who refuses 74 times to answer questions in front of a Congressional Committee. I don't see how you can have an Attorney General who meets in private for 39 minutes with somebody who's under investigation, which Bill Clinton is. The whole thing just stinks.

Host: To be clear, she was asked about that Private meeting with the former President on that plane, and she said as she has stated before that it was merely a social conversation and the investigation was never discussed, but I can leave it up to you and those who can discuss it whether or not that even matters Mr Speaker.

Newt: Look, the very appearance of the Attorney General of the United States meeting with somebody who's under investigation just a few days, and think about the sequencing, his wife gets interrogated on a Saturday morning at her home for about 3 and a half hours, Sunday is a day off, Monday is a Federal Holiday, and by Tuesday the FBI has absorbed 3 and a half hours of testimony and Comey holds a hearing, holds a Press Conference, in which for 14 minutes he explains why she should be indicted and for 2 minutes he explains why he's not going to indict her. I mean the whole thing is just the sort of reason why the American People believe that the City of Washington is corrupt and the system has to be drastically changed.

Host: Well we heard from many colleagues of yours today that AG Lynch deflected and dodged...where does that leave us?

Newt: It leaves us with the majority of the American People, 57-58% believing that Hillary Clinton should be indicted. It leaves us with the majority of the American people believing the AG is not doing her job. The AG swore an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States. The Attorney General is clearly failing to do her duty...

Today is the day when the President of the United States actually said, "It's easier for a teenager to get his hands on a Glock than a computer...or even a book!"

Words fail.

Beasts of England

I agree, Miss Marple. And as cynical as I am, I'm still surprised to see so many with that attitude on 'our side'. Bizzare.

I am thankful that President Bush and Laura Bush were there today and on present a genuine heartfelt tribute to the slain police officers and their grieving families.

Trump is a moderate who used to be pro-choice

DebinNC

"It's easier for a teenager to get his hands on a Glock than a computer...or even a book!"

Only if "he" steals one or buys a stolen one. BOzo et al don't consider stealing a gun a serious crime worth more than a nominal time in jail though, especially for teens.

maryrose

He is also ahead in a Florida and Iowa poll

Dave (in MA)

I'd be happy to see Gingrich as VP, but I don't think he would help the ticket. Anyone his presence would bring on board I think is already planning on voting against Pantsuit.

daddy

"It's easier for a teenager to get his hands on a Glock than a computer...or even a book!"

Did Obama say the during the speech?

Dave, I want somehow who can attack and punch back as well as Newt can, verbally and mentally. I don't know who that person is but I'm open to suggestions. So far I can think of Alan West. Who else? I don't want a gimmick candidate. Christie?

Miss M has tainted me toward Pence, and I heard Laura Ingraham dumping on Pence also. So I'm for Newt until I can imagine another alternative that fits the mental/verbal Pitt Bull I think we're going to need this Election.

I'll go for Howie Carr in a heartbeat:)

DebinNC

With HC likely to choose Corey Booker or a Castro Bro type, Ben Carson as Trump's VP makes a lot of sense imo.

Miss Marple

Daddy,

I would prefer Newt to Pence also, although I will pretty much go with whoever Trump chooses. He will have reasons I am not privy to.

The worst thing would be to devolve into a fight over the VP choice, so am avoiding getting emotionally involved. If I am trusting Trump to run the country, I see no reason not to trust him about the VP slot.

Maryrose's comment about Daniels maybe running again would be welcome news but have no idea if that is rumor or truth.

Daniels would beat Gregg hands down and keep the governor's seat in GOP hands, no doubt.

I don't know, DebinNC. Two non-politicians...I don't like token picks (from either party) and although sleepy doctor is a great guy, I don't think he has what it takes.

DebinNC

You don't clap at an eulogy

True of all the funerals I've attended, but maybe black funerals, like black church services, are more lively and participatory.

DebinNC

... On second thought, since the victims are all white iirc, then black officers clapping to show support for BOzo was just wrong.

daddy

I exactly transcribed this during Obama's speech today:

Obama: "When anyone, no matter how good their intentions may be, paints all Police as biased, or bigoted, we undermine those Officers we depend on for our safety."

Then I see in Lurker Susie's 04:51 link above the following:

Obama: "None of us are entirely innocent" when it comes to racial discrimination... “and this includes our police departments."

Was the 2nd quote from today's speech also?

Regardless, the second quote is Obama himself, specifically saying the stuff that he damns Americans for saying in the first quote.

The "Underminer" in Chief.

DebinNC

No way would Ben Carson be a token anything. He's a brilliant man of unquestionable character and achievement. A role model for many millions, brown-white-brown, familiar with his book "Gifted Hands" - required reading in many schools for 30 yrs.

Daniels would beat Gregg hands down and keep the governor's seat in GOP hands, no doubt.

Mayor Ballard has been out of sight. I think he would resurface as a GOP gubernatorial nominee if Daniels says no.

Other than that, he is pretty much in private life.

He was pretty upset at Pence over RFRA.

Jack is Back! (As Mr. Fixit)

Ever considered running yourself? I know the biggest drag will be your library fine history but I think you can overcome that by noting that Murkowski has never taken a book out and read it. Porchlight

No way would Ben Carson be a token anything.

But you suggested he should be chosen in response to HRC choosing a VP of color. In that sense, yes, he would be token. I oppose a Martinez or a Haley pick for the same reason.

Live from Shannon Bream's FOX Show.

Shannon: FOX's James Rosen is in Cleveland tonight with a look at the GOP Platform. Good evening, James.

James Rosen: Shannon, Good Evening. One of the most controversial elements of Donald Trump's Campaign thus far, his proposal to build a wall along the US/Mexico Border, was adopted by the Republican Party's Platform Committee without a single word of debate. The Committee's 112 members, 1 man and 1 woman from each of the 50 States and US Territories, will now summit their draft to the full Convention next week for a ratifying vote there...the draft calls for building a Wall along the entire of the Mexican Border, sufficient to stop all vehicular and pedestrian traffic...the Draft also calls for an mandatory prisons sentence of any deportee who illegally re-enters the US.

Agreed. Trump has the "outsider" vote already. Better to choose someone with some political experience if only to preempt the concern (however unwarranted) that he'll be clueless about how to govern.
