Appalled, a vote for Johnson is a vote for Clinton. I thought you weren’t going to vote for Clinton?

common man

Avis is number 2 and I am number 3.

Sue

You know what's funny? Arkansas is solid red. Clinton's "other" home state. They are going to vote for Trump.

henry

Walker and Ron Johnson will appear with Trump in Eau Claire, Ryan is out of state somewhere.

I posted a question last night that I'll repeat here...

Is there a dongle or something that you can plug into your laptop to enhance its ability to pick up wifi? I need something to improve the wifi at the hotel in Biloxi (usually have 2 bars on the top floor) and I need to work on Friday for a bit if I can and that involves downloading and uploading pdfs. I can't enhance their wifi, but I'd like to enhance my reception of it if I can.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sue

I think I heard the Fox reporter that is with Trump on the campaign (not Carl Cameron) say that Trump's internals have them within 3 in WI.

Beasts of England

It's not too late for Hillary to adopt Petty's Free Fallin' as her official campaign song. :)

common man

Yes there is an antenna with a network adapter that plugs into a USB port that you can get. Best Buy would have them. A decent one may run you around $50. Make you sure you get someone ( Geek Squad or otherwise ) to tell you which one they would recommend. Some of them are going to be little to no improvement.

henry

Sue, from the radio this morning it appears the out state areas are very excited about Trump. The challenge is the Milwaukee suburbs have lots of #neverTrump (Ryan and talk radio hosts). The big #neverTrump excuse is WI always goes D for pres, so votes don't matter. Rigged polls can impact things here. It is still a long shot though.

hrtshpdbox

Is there a dongle or something that you can plug into your laptop to enhance its ability to pick up wifi?

I think you can use a "repeater" to boost your wifi. Here's one:
https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Wi-Fi-Extender-Essentials-EX2700/dp/B00L0YLRUW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478009145&sr=8-1&keywords=repeater
I'm thinking of using one myself but haven't yet, you might need to use the appropriate repeater for your type of modem, but I don't really know.

Great ABC poll this morning!

Threadkiller

I don't know the answer to that, Stephanie. I do know that there are programs that help you locate the best wifi reception.

common man

I see Rasmussen now had it as a dead heat too. They were the outlier of the tracking polls, having gone to + 3 Witch I think so that is huge change.

Doesn't seem like its all baked in based on all this poll movement, now does it?

Threadkiller

Correction of sorts. The wifi app I heard about works on a mobile device. I guess it uses the phones gps/compass.

You could track a good location with your phone and set up shop there.

The last hotel I stayed in, earlier this year, still had a hardwire option in the room for internet. Maybe your hotel does to. If so, all you need is a cord.

common man

BTW that ABC poll is still D + 10. It was only D + 8 in 2008. Its not 2008 we are not election the lightbringer...

DebinNC

Stephanie, I'm computer illiterate, but maybe what you need is available at Amazon. That item just offered as a generic example, as I have no idea if it would fix the bill.

maryrose

Trump ahead of the curve again.
In Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan as well as Pennsylvania you can change your vote.
His trips to these states should pay off for vote changers.
Deadline is today in Minnesota and Monday in Wisconsin.

hrtshpdbox

I don't know who was just on FOX (because I never once glanced at the TV screen), but it was some Clinton apologist relying on that old "it doesn't matter what Hillary did, it only matters that this info is being leaked by awful Russians" attempted slight of hand.

So, are we really awaiting a big Assange drop, in an hour or so? Or did I hear that wrong?

Quick thought. Everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop, w/ regards to wikileaks etc.

Let's say that wikileaks really is controlled by the Russians. If so, then why not wait until after the election to drop the truly incriminating stuff about Hillary? If the purpose is to harm the United States as much as possible, an incriminated and indicted president-elect would be a worst-case scenario, right?

The Suffolk University/USA Today poll released Friday asks, "Who do you think the media, including major newspapers and TV stations, would like to see elected president: Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?"

Of the 1,000 adults surveyed, 75.9 percent answered Clinton, while just 7.9 percent picked Trump, the Republican nominee. Just more than 16 percent of respondents chose either "neither" or "undecided."

That does seem "overwhelming". Nice that most Americans can still agree on something.

derwill, yet another adorable, irredeemable deplorable

My prediction, based on what the campaigns are doing, is that Trump is close, but he needs to flip one more good-sized state: VA, CO, PA, MI, or WI. I think VA is out of reach, don't have a feel for CO or WI. So that leaves PA or MI, and that is going to depend on how successful he was at realigning the electorate--getting blue collar dems to cross over and middle and working class people who've never voted before or rarely vote to turn out for him.

Threadkiller

"FTC" is something I'm not allowed to say.

Buford Gooch

TK, I'm impressed with your new attitude. Thank you.

DebinNC

Today's the first open enrollment day for Obamacare, and many people are in for a shock. Wish Pence would point out Evan Bayh's pivotal role in getting it passed by rallying dispirited, townhall-battered Dems with his stirring battle cry = "I can't stand to see the looks of satisfaction on their (Rs) faces if it doesn't pass."

James D

Deb @ 11:02

I do not see how this is not a huge (yuge?) campaign issue.

It's easy to understand - Obama and the Dems took money that was legally owed to American victims of terrorism, and gave it directly to the terrorists who hurt them instead. And they KNEW what they were doing was both illegal and unacceptable, which is why they did it under cover of darkness and lied about it for months afterwards.

I think the worst case would be lots of smoke but no fire. She is crippled and discredited but still wins. Sort of like what is happening now. As far as WikiLeaks being a Russian front I'd say sort of, probably-they were most likely cutouts and patsies to cover for the actual Russian moles in the national security bureaucracy. Not really Russian assets and disposed of when no longer useful (Like Snowden winning last seasons Running Man). Why Hillary and the media would be all gungho to get into a pissing match or otherwise with Russia is anyone's guess.

DebinNC

James, I didn't read the article, because I knew it would make me sick. I just hope these evildoers face a day of reckoning, preferably during my lifetime.

Ignatz Ratzkywatzky

Got to keep that toga clean, eh? Let somebody else make the hard choices. Spare us the my-Georgia-vote-won't-make-a-difference-anyway defense, which is sort of like saying you'll stand on your principles, if it doesn't really count. I suppose I should be glad that at least you're not voting for the Democrat this time, but do you seriously believe it doesn't matter which candidate gets elected? Or are you, perhaps, just playing coy about planning to vote for Johnson or Stein?

Several people have pointed out that the popular vote is not inconsequential, but, frankly, as someone who is going to have to cast a vote that will make a difference, I resent the hell out of the folks who won't even dirty their hands with a token effort at pulling their weight, by making an actual decision, as distasteful as that might be.

sbw

Must read VDH at NR.

Pence will be the clear favorite in 2020 if - for some bizarre reason - Trump doesn't win next Tuesday. Super impressive gentleman!!

Beasts of England

Exactly, TC - she's hanging by a thread and playing pure defense. It's a Trump rout. And I'd say his resurgence over the last two weeks is rather like a Phoenix. :)

Thomas Collins

I think that if Trump wins, BOE, he is going to love being POTUS. I don't see him stepping down after one term. On the basis of the Nieto meeting, I think he'll relish the meet and greet aspect of the POTUSey, and will revel in putting his advisors to work (or they'll be FIRED)!

Great piece by VDH. Wish he could do a companion piece contrasting the Clintons with Trump, who, whatever his flaws, made his wealth in the private sector, and is genuinely giving up a lot to run. We all know how bad the Clintons are, but more (especially NR readers) need to understand why Trump is so much better.

Maybe this time Hoft isn't holding one still pointing at his foot.

Porchlight

maryrose, good observation.

Trump is behaving like a winning candidate. Talking about policy and solutions. Hitting every single swing state and some blue states too in attempt to reach voters.

Hillary is behaving like a losing candidate. Every third word out of her mouth is Trump or Russia. She's camping out in firewalls when she does bother to make an appearance. And hitting the bar on Sunday, lol.

Brava Maryrose. Trump was calm, assured, commanding and provided a complete summation of his campaign. A compelling closing argument to all undecideds. Yet I continued to pray to All the Saints in Glory.

It's not unlike Trump's history with the Clintons, or Ailes hiring Susan Estrich.

jimmyk, Holder wants airbnb to require me to certify in advance that I am guilty of whatever airbnb chooses to accuse me of whenever they decide to drop a hammer.

Furthermore, airbnb is assuming to itself a corporate stance at odds with self-cleansing capitalism and distributed operation.
