Ivanka Trump and family tried to take a commercial flight from NYC to Palm Springs, but unfortunately, other New Yorkers were involved. From the NY Daily News:
JetBlue passenger criticizes Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, gets booted from flight: 'Your father is ruining the country'
A Hunter College professor learned a hard lesson after his husband blasted first daughter Ivanka Trump aboard an airplane at JFK Airport.
Matt Lasner and his spouse Dan Goldstein were bounced from the Thursday morning Jet Blue plane to Hawaii after the pre-takeoff confrontation.
“Oh my God, this is a nightmare,” a witness quoted Goldstein as saying after spying Ivanka. “They ruin the country and now they ruin our flight.”
According to TMZ.com, Goldstein upped the ante by screaming, “Your father is ruining the country. Why is she on our flight? She should be flying private.”
Witness Marc Scheff said Ivanka never lost her cool during the uncomfortable confrontation.
“I overheard Ivanka say to (plane staff) ‘I don’t want to make this a thing,’” Scheff wrote on Facebook. “My assessment is she was happy to let the man take his seat.
“She handled the situation calmly and with class. Security made the call to dismiss the man. And for good reason.”
Hey, a source! Witness Marc Scheff posted his account on Instagram:
Unusually non art post but this is too surreal.
My son and I made the news today. That's us in the photo. I am sitting in the next row up from Ivanka and surrounded by her extended family, lots of Kushners. A man got ejected and the news is making it sound like the guy was hulking Out. The whole incident happened literally 15 inches from me. The article is sensationalizing this a little. Here is what happened.
He didn't accost her directly. When he got on and saw her, sitting behind me, he said "oh my god. This is a nightmare" and was visibly shaking. He said "they ruin the country now they ruin our flight!" (Context: Boarding and therefore the flight was delayed because they needed to get on first through some other way).
He did not yell. He was also not what I would describe as calm. Agitated maybe. His husband behind him was very calm. His son is adorable and sharply dressed. [Mr. Scheff's son isn't taking a backseat in the "adorable" category either, although sharply dressed ? More 'travelin' cool'.]
When the JetBlue staff went back to speak to the man I overheard Ivanka say to them "I don't want to make this a thing." My assessment is that she was happy to let the man take his seat. Security made a different call.
And for good reason. The man's calm husband had tweeted earlier that his husband was "chasing them down to harass them." I did not witness his actual removal some rows back. If he screamed, I didn't hear it.
My politics aside... Honestly, if I was her security I would have made the same call. I don't _think_ the man was capable of violence, sure. But I would worry that he would leave his seat or cause a scene in some way. And his husband had tweeted that he planned on doing that. So, again you know my politics, but I would have made the same call here.
Interesting. As are the comments at progressive redoubt Talking Points Memo. Some conspiracy theorists see crafty news management by the Evil Trumpsters (Ivanka in coach - such a woman of the people!) but, for a bit of Holiday cheer, there seems to be a large faction denouncing this as deplorable manners. Dare we say there is a bipartisan consensus against screaming at moms in front of their kids? Nearly!
our country dealt with Obama and will survive him.
Survive, so it seems, but in what shape? His Petulance and Angry Spouse have shredded the fabric that unifies the country, and the MSM, with their relentless assaults on Trump's legitimacy, are continuing the work.
Trump and at least 50 senators are going to have to be relentless and single-minded in pushing ahead against all this. I don't doubt Trump, but we'll see whether he can actually inject some spinal fluid into the Rs in Congress.

It's hard to decide BOzo's 10 worst decisions, but I'd put abandoning Mubarak to the mobs near the top. The only reason I see is his obvious hatred of Israel nurtured during 20 yrs. at the knee of committed antisemite Jeremiah Wright.

MM, they're responding to all of that rather evident leadership "from the front" variety. Yep, yep -- they skeered! And they should be.
For a period of years I used to sign my eMails in this fashion:
Patience. Preparation. Perseverance.
Attention to Detail. Flexibility. Resiliency.
Never think that God's delays are God's denials.
Hold on; hold fast; hold out. Patience is genius.
This was primarily for my benefit; a reminder to myself to do what I could, when I could, and to use the intellect I was endowed with by my Creator but, ultimately, to let go and let God.
Merry Christmas, y'all. Even in the midst of the struggle, we are blessed and highly favored and I am thankful for so much, including this online outlet.

IMHO, Rhodes's best moment is still: "To underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy."
Which was then touted by our current NSA.
These traitorous moral midgets can't leave soon enough (and we'll need to inventory the silverware afterward).

Obama has let the far left kooks run wild...while the MFM cheered them on.
No thought to the consequences for America, American citizens or our allies.
What a disgrace.
His national security team isn't concerned with OUR nation or OUR security.
The Dept. of Homeland security under Obama isn't concerned with OUR homeland (do they even recognize our homeland?) or OUR security.
The State Dept. has been about helping foreign countries screw America....while Hillary as SoS worked for the Clinton Foundation.

Is there any doubt that this was introduced at the UN precisely because Hillary lost the election, and Obama is now a lame duck? They knew he was always waiting for a chance to screw Israel, but had his hands tied until November 8th.

Did ya'll know about this? About National Review - Kevin Williamson. Unbelievable.
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/12/national_review_owes_an_apology_to_the_trump_family.html
"Mr. Williamson then writes the following (emphasis mine)
I suppose that by now regular readers of National Review will have figured out that my sympathy for the Trumps is . . . limited. My own view is that Donald and Ivanka and Uday and Qusay are genuinely bad human beings and that the American public has made a grave error in entrusting its highest office to this cast of American Psycho extras. That a major political party was captured by these cretins suggests that its members are not worthy of the blessings of this republic. But here we are."
Posted by: Janet | December 24, 2016 at 12:56 PM
more from the Am. Thinker link - "I have stood at the side of a mass grave, seen the bodies and smelled the horrific odor of victims of Saddam, Uday and Qusay. Mr. Williamson's comparison of the Trump family to the likes of the Husseins is so far beyond the pale as to defy description.
The senior management of National Review should formally and publicly admonish Mr. Williamson and apologize to the Trumps."

The most instructive thing about Obama's Security Council abstention is he didn't have the guts to do it earlier, when he stood to lose something by doing it. Only after he calculated there was nothing more to squeeze from that particular quarter did he run up the Jolly Roger. Had it cost him it would have meant something, even as a gesture.
But even more interesting was his willingness to damage the Democratic party who he's leaving with political bill, not to mention the fact that the policy his abstention represents makes little sense.
Israel is likely to emerge as a linchpin in the region, after Obama's power vacuum bomb reduces the nearby countries to waste. If Turkey and Iran fall apart, which is not inconceivable, then Obama will have antagonized the last man standing.
It was bad timing and pointless, like a punch thrown by a fighter lying on the canvas -- at the referee. That would leave his legacy a consistently dysfunctional whole: conceived in delusion, executed in incompetence.

One of the most perfect, scandal free Presidential administrations is coming to a close. President Obama, the President who saved the United States economy from slipping further into a great depression, who saved the auto-industry, who slaughtered Osama bin Laden where he stood, who created 15 million new jobs and dragged the stock market from near collapse to being on the verge of breaking 20,000(thanks President Obama) ,reduced the federal deficit by two thirds......reducing the deficit by even a fraction is something that no Republican President has ever been in the history of the country, provided healthcare for over 20 million human beings.....20 million human beings......this man
will go down as one of the greatest Presidents of all time.

Apparnetly not.

Merry Christmas Eve ya'll!
I agree with you Man Tran in hoping Chris Pratt keeps his feet on the ground and his priorities in order. It's a tall order for most with that level of success, I'm sure. He brought his family to Ga. so he would be near them during shooting.
I'm spending time in the kitchen today. Our traditional Christmas morning fare includes homemade biscuits with sausage and homemade orange rolls. We always get fresh Tenn. sausage but this year it has been too warm to slaughter so we are having to resort to sausage from Fresh Market. My connoisseur guys are skeptical but I say, once it's inside a big old homemade biscuit, they'll like it just fine.
Congratulations to Gus on your brother's wonderful appointment. I'm glad you'll be able to see him more often. And congratulations to Rocco's son! Wow, just thinking that two families will have a drastically different Christmas and future because of him.
daddy - your descriptions of flying in the weather were so interesting. I was thinking of the things we can see and experience. As a history buff have you ever thought of those who came before whose feet never left the ground? Think what they would give to spend one minute up there looking out of your cockpit window. It applies to so many things - one generation's wonder of wonders quickly becomes so common to the next.
We re-watched Home Alone and I thought in today's world the story line would not have worked because of cell phones. Remember the family could not contact him because the phone lines were "down".
It doesn't seem that long ago that they made that film...how quickly our world changes.
