RSE:
Sorry you had to go through that.
Can't they find any medicine to help you?

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Jack,

I agree. I also think that Trump figured it out by reading the old PDB's, possibly to get up to speed on some security background in Iraq or somewhere in the Middle East.

He sees what he knows indicates he was surveilled, but he cannot go running to the press because he knows how THAT would go.

As I said this morning, something in those PDB's must have set him off - maybe personal information about Melania or one of the kids.
That's the only thing I can think of which would have caused that deeply visceral set of tweets a few weeks ago.

ALSO, not the comment about Obama "Bad or sick." What was THAT about? That's why I wondered if there were comments or pictures that were DEEPLY personal.

At any rate, I am following the clues as are you. Wee will eventually find out.

How many days now since we've heard from Obama? I believe KK said this morning that after setting up that bunker and moving Jarrett in, he's gone radio silent which is totally out of character.

BeenThereDoneThat

Janet, the Finicum story is high on my list of Obama administration Horrors. I live in the West, not too far from the other ranching atrocity with the Bundy family. I hope and pray POTUS has, or is making plans to right the wrongs perpetrated on citizen property owners and ranchers, via the BLM and other out of control agencies.

Donald Trump wrote this wonderful op-ed in a Reno, NV newspaper over a year ago - shows he truly understands this issue:

Methadone worked and simply stopped the pain. No buzz, which was always the irony. Poor surgeon was at his wits end because nothing worked prior to that.

Being accused of abusing something that you have no incentive to abuse has to be one of the world's great ironies.

Jack is Back!

Now, I am really going out on a limb but I would not be surprised that there isn't docmentation (ala rosemay woods:) that Obama and ValJar and Ben Rhodes and John Brennan discussed the information and even laughed or made remarks.

Just a wild bet.

Christian group AFA (American Family Association) reports yet more lib tolerance:

Vimeo removes Christian ministry videos, closes account
Pure Passion Ministries is a much respected friend of AFA and many other national ministries. Their videos have helped countless sexual abuse victims, people who have been sex trafficked, those who are addicted or in any other condition that causes them distress.

On March 24, Vimeo removed all 850 Pure Passion videos and closed its account.

Why? As Vimeo explained to Dr. David Kyle Foster, director of Pure Passion Ministries and himself a former homosexual, "To put it plainly, we don't believe that homosexuality requires a cure and we don't allow videos on our platform that espouse this point of view…"

But Foster's ministry is not the first to be unfairly censured by Vimeo. In 2015, Vimeo unpublished an announcement for an upcoming "Hope Conference." The conference was sponsored by Restored Hope Network, which is an association of ministries that help people deal with unwanted same-sex attractions. Early last year, Vimeo shut down Restored Hope's entire account. Every single video. Gone.

Vimeo also shut down the account of NARTH, the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality, which is an association of psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, and therapists who have had the temerity to stand up to the PC establishment and who refuse to celebrate LGBT activism.

Wouldn't it be fun, if at the very beginning Rudy G alerted Trump & the team that they were likely under surveillance, and to bait the eavesdroppers by giving every impression possible to listening ears & eyes that they were going to "lose" the election.

Would explain Hillary and MSM's ignoring of certain states she should have campaigned in, and the absolute *certainty* that she would win. ;)

isn't it curious that the Dems keep playing the Russian card when the evidence so far favors their participation more than Trump's. What is it that think is in their favor and not his?

A corrupt "deep state", Comey, the media apologists and protectors or is there something else? Like the Russians themselves? Who would Vlad rather deal with?

I don't know if there is any kind of difference in choosing which drug to abuse. I do know you can do both right up til you have to call the undertaker, a la Philip Seymour Hoffman.

I think it's a combination of biology--getting a real "boy, this is exactly what I've been missing" feeling , coupled with certain psychological make ups that are more conducive to addictive behavior and choices.

I know we all can become physically tolerant/addicted to narcotics, which is what I believe rse was noting above, but whether the drug seeking behavior to get them at any cost involved is what varies from person to person.

And for all I know, that overwhelming desire may well have a biological basis as well.

Jack is Back!

I mean if you are a commie and need to turn someone, why would it a big time committed capitalist like Trump or an entitlement whore like the Dems?

As far as Ivanka being criticized, jealous bitchs gonna bitch because Ivanka's blonde, beautiful, and rich.

I saw an article this morning where there's a petition, think with over 100,000 signatures, calling for Melania moving to the White House because it costs approx. $48,000 a day to guard her. One of the petitioners complained that the money could be used to "feed" the elderly and poor. (I'm sorry, but typing that sentence made me smile -- people are so damn simple.) Also there were complaints on the petition about Trump flying to Florida on the weekend.

Anyway, if they get, I think, 150,000 signatures, they're going to present it to Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. :)

Darn, I misspelled 'bitches.' :)

Perhaps the Democrats didn't have anything else, Jack.

I puzzled over your 'quiz' several minutes. At first I was going to say 'because the press/media loved the Russian accusations.' But, the press/media love and follow anything the Democrats say so it wasn't that.

Perhaps they thought the public would swallow this lie because of the Ukraine and Crimea. The press does seem to be fascinated with Putin.

cathyf

Earlier in the thread people were talking about Trump de-facto repealing Obamacare by not enforcing the mandate, not allowing the tax credits, etc. I think it is a good time to point out that Obamacare is not just about creating something that can be destroyed. Obamacare created one thing while destroying another. Obamacare made health insurance illegal. Destroying what Obamacare created without restoring the legality of insurance is catastrophic.

And Trump has said that he thinks it's absolutely wonderful that Obamacare made it illegal for sick people to protect their healthcare funding from being looted by freeloaders. Unless Trump has found a way to prevent people from stealing healthcare coverage that they didn't pay for, all he is doing is completing Obama's destruction.

a'mom-I share my story because a reaction of "no one should ever prescribe x" isn't true. I have quit breathing multiple times during surgery, which is not what any surgeon wants to be surprised by and been at stroke levels because no one could stop the pain.

This was all before the current crackdown. I think I have made it at least 10 years now since a surgery. I really don't want my family burying me if I have an accident because a doctor has never seen anything like it and doesn't want anyone questioning what they prescribe.

rse

Gee, something else rse and I have in common! They gave me morphine after the c-section with my first. I'm pretty sure that my reaction to it is "atypical". Let's just say that if in the future I am ever given the choice between morphine or blowing my brains out with a 38 in my mouth, I'll take the bullet.

One (of many) problems with opiods is they do not treat the problem, they just mask the pain. So while back pain may be eased by muscle relaxants, it will never be eased or cured by opiods.

Having done my share of experimentation in college, I am tremendously opposed to opiods. Percocet makes me hallucinate, but vicodan works just peachy. But I am sure I could easily become addicted so I avoid it like the plague.

March 28, 2017 Vote Notes on Legislation S.J.Res. 34 – Congressional Disapproval of FCC Rule on Broadband Privacy: NO

Broadband Internet Service Providers (usually your cable or telephone company) typically require customers to agree to share private information such as their browsing and search histories and downloads, as a condition of getting access to the Internet -- information which the ISP then sells to various vendors. The FCC promulgated a rule that requires the ISP to give you a choice of whether you want this information shared with third parties. This resolution rescinds that rule. This is a fundamental privacy issue. You have a choice in subscribing to search or social sites – if you don’t agree with Google’s privacy policy, you can use some other service whose terms you find more pleasing. Agreements with such companies are purely a matter of choice, with which government should not interfere. But the ISP’s are different. Consumers have little -- if any -- choice of Internet Service Providers, because government severely restricts competition. As long as free choice cannot protect the consumer, rules like this are necessary.

The 10-year plan would boost gasoline excise taxes for the first time in more than two decades, raising them 12 cents per gallon — a 43 percent increase. The tax would rise automatically with inflation.

For the first time, owners of zero emission vehicles would pay a $100 annual fee because they use public roads but don't pay gasoline taxes that fund highway maintenance.

The plan also includes a sliding fee on vehicles, with owners of cheaper vehicles paying less. The fee, separate from annual vehicle registration fees, would range from $25 a year for vehicles worth less than $5,000 to $175 for cars worth $60,000 and up.
