Boo hoo, Mika unhappy. Seems she doesn't like Trump.

That is just for show. Meeka loooves Trump.

Janet 🚬

anecdotal story...

My daughter was at a party on Friday & said an anti-Trump guy was ranting & going on & on.
Most at the party weren't into politics & just wanted the guy to shut up.

Anyway...finally it was the non-political, self described libertarian crew (that just want pot legalized) that finally shut the anti-Trump guy down. She said they all defended Trump.
She's a Trump supporter but she didn't engage.

Everyone is sick of hate filled leftists.

Captain Hate

Anytime the pot heads consider you a deranged lunatic means you've attained the "stop digging" stage. Again, the ironically named MoveOn types.

Porchlight

That's excellent, Janet.

Question for JOM: does the Sessions recusal apply to Obama admin activities during the transition, or to activities post-inauguration by Obama appointees still in place?

les nessman

" 'I wonder why we haven't found a dozen or so underlings and arrested them yet.'

I don't think Trump wants to do that; I think his recent tweets were a shot across the bow to stop trying to interfere with me."

Trump is not a 'I'm Repub-you are Democrat' or 'I'm conservative - you are liberal' type of guy. He thinks he can work with ANYONE on an even basis.
But these Dems are serpents. Trump is going to have to get over that reluctance to put those people in jail. This is a deadly serious game for the statists.

Buckeye

I blame Mitch Rapp...

Gee OL, Mitch is my hero:)

From narc's TNR link, a headline about Betsy McCaughey:

"Betsy Is Still All Wetsy"

Can you imagine the uproar if a conservative outlook wrote about a liberal woman Democrat that way?

narciso

Strikingly cohn (journolister) has been wrong every step of the way.

Momto2

Strikingly____________ has been wrong every step of the way.

This works for *so* many others also!

The Infamous Ignatz

Radio silence from trolls since about last Tuesday. Hmm.
What do trolls know and when did they know it?

Buckeye

Yesterday I got a call from a mutual "friend" (business client) of ManTran and I.

He has been retired for a couple of years and we spent the first 10 minutes discussing the finer points of his new nomadic RV lifestyle.

Then he started into a one of his predictable anti-right/pro-left diatribes, including the "story" about Wilbur Ross and a Deutsche Bank guy being in cahoots with the Russian oligarchs.

The next thing that came out of his mouth was that he was beginning to notice that he was pissing people off. He didn't get included in any family Christmas action, and ManTran was giving him the cold shoulder.

It was all I could do to stifle my first thought..."maybe everybody is tired of you being an asshole"...but I managed to end the call on a polite note.

Maybe there is hope for me after all:)

JimNorCal

"Radio silence from trolls since about last Tuesday."
True for another blog I visit, too. Checks bounced? Mandatory attendance at anti-Trump rallies? Annual convention?

henry

Checks bounced? Mandatory attendance at anti-Trump rallies?

panicky meetings with defense lawyers as Fed questionnaires arrive?

Mika - "This is not funny," Brzezinski told her audience. "This is really bad. Just for the record, we are all really nervous. So if people out there feel nervous, we do too."

Ya know...this same nonsense is happening in Arlington. ~We Are Scared~

There was a school board meeting with kids showing up in matching t-shirts moaning about how they are scared. The Superintendent sent out a letter assuring Arlington citizens that Arlington public schools cared about them.

https://www.apsva.us/post/superintendent-reaffirms-aps-commitment-support-children/

"We have heard from families, students and staff about concerns in light of the most recent changes to our nation’s political landscape."

At the school board meeting there were vague stories about "a dramatic rise in incidents of racism, homophobia and hate.”

https://www.arlnow.com/2017/02/23/yorktown-discrimination-allegations-prompt-record-public-comments-at-school-board-meeting/

Enough.
Name the people that you are accusing. File an incident report. Do it.

You want us to show that we take your accusations seriously?....file a report with names & dates & we will investigate the incident. Sign your name to the specific accusation. Do it.

Captain Hate

Maybe Soros is worried that Sessions's recusal means he has lots of spare time to throatslash that quisling bastard through RICO.

Huh, yes I remember this guy,

Tom Bowler

"This is a deadly serious game for the statists."

I published some thoughts on that topic under the title The Comey-Fitzpatrick Playbook. I would welcome critique from anybody who would be interested in reading them. Thanks.

Old Lurker

Porch, I think that's why the rumors of Trump's anger over the Sessions recusal might be true. In his attempt to be gentile, Sessions created too much ambiguity in just what he would stay out of and exactly who would stand in for him on those matters. All that was not a good thing, nor was creating the impression that Trump and his top team are not, as we thought and hoped, working hand in glove on draining the swamp.

Having your own opinion and sticking to it in front of the boss is a good thing and Trump is great to encourage that. But extending opinions to independent tactical/strategic disarmament is not the plan.

narciso

Anyways who fined Deutsche bank but didn't go after a single executive?

narciso

Yes tom bowler, I got a string whiff of dejavu.

The Infamous Ignatz

Relinking Andy McCarthy's persuasive NR column from yesterday for the sole purpose of identifying where the great flocks of squawking trolls have landed like crows and gulls in The Birds.
Read the comments and be amazed at what a coordinated troll attack looks like. Overwhelmingly defensive and demented Barry lovers with double digit likes for every moonbat comment.
They seem truly, desperately scared the lightbringer might get some light brung to his little ratcave.

henry

Tom B, co-opting a special prosecutor would fit Dem motives here. Especially so if they let Comey (or a similar reliable deep stater) select the special prosecutor.

Yep,

Steve King‏ @SteveKingIA
@RealDonaldTrump needs to purge Leftists from executive branch before disloyal, illegal & treasonist acts sink us.
'You're fired!': Trump could become lame duck unless he clears out Obama holdovers

This should be the core job of the Chief of Staff Reince Priebus. He must instruct every department head who should then direct every agency head to call for the resignation of any political appointees and special counsels who do not share the views of the president. Any open borders official within DOJ and DHS should be gone. Any pro-government-run health care supporter within HHS has to go. Any official within Treasury who is not on board with the OMB spending cuts and pro-growth tax cuts should go out and campaign for their cause … on the outside. Any State Department official who is a shill for refugee resettlement, a Palestinian State, the Muslim Brotherhood, or who opposes the president’s immigration moratorium must go.

President Trump has one last shot to save his presidency.

Reince Priebus clearly doesn’t share the views of movement conservatives, but that shouldn’t matter. His job is to make the trains come on time. If he cannot quell the divisions and ensure that the Obama holdovers are gone, there is no use to his services.

There is nothing harsh and revolutionary about this suggestion. It is exactly what Obama did the minute he took office. And he had an easier job because the residual deep state was a lot less hostile to his agenda than it is to Trump's. The federal bureaucracy under Bush was not even close to being conservative, and Obama only pushed it further to the left.

Old Lurker

Steve King is way behind some of us JOMers, susie.

James D

That's exactly right, lurkersusie.

President Trump needs to fire everyone he possibly can, ASAP. And whoever can't be fired should be permanantly reassigned to the most remote and unpleasant duty station their agency offers.

narciso

The two main sources in that new yorker piece are anonymous.

Captain Hate

Iggy, I couldn't find the comments on my iPad, not that I feel any sense of loss. McCarthy has been on Levin's show at least once where they discussed these matters, so this isn't an overnight revelation. His dissection of Kevin Lewis's misleading statement is a welcome addition though, and confirms that everything these mouthpieces release is nothing but spin.

Yeah this guy, total zombie.

Totally OT (yeah, I know, we're on page 16 of the thread)...

One of the things I do to promote my books is to give stuff away, including custom-printed t-shirts.

With the last order I did, zazzle.com made a mistake and sent me two shirts instead of one. So I have an extra promotional t-shirt. It's women's size small.

Anybody here want it? Email me at jamesd@elevendayempire.com - first one to ask gets it.

Jack is Back!

Today's Gospel was prescient about today's Left and Right:

Gospel Mt 25:31-46

Jesus said to his disciples:
"When the Son of Man comes in his glory,
and all the angels with him,
he will sit upon his glorious throne,
and all the nations will be assembled before him.
And he will separate them one from another,
as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Then the king will say to those on his right,
'Come, you who are blessed by my Father.
Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me,
ill and you cared for me,
in prison and you visited me.'
Then the righteous will answer him and say,
'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you,
or thirsty and give you drink?
When did we see you a stranger and welcome you,
or naked and clothe you?
When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?'
And the king will say to them in reply,
'Amen, I say to you, whatever you did
for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.'
Then he will say to those on his left,
'Depart from me, you accursed,
into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.

For I was hungry and you gave me no food,
I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
a stranger and you gave me no welcome,
naked and you gave me no clothing,
ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.'
Then they will answer and say,
'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty
or a stranger or naked or ill or in prison,
and not minister to your needs?'
He will answer them, 'Amen, I say to you,
what you did not do for one of these least ones,
you did not do for me.'
And these will go off to eternal punishment,
but the righteous to eternal life."

Tom Bowler

Thanks, Narciso and Henry.

Good rundown of sources who think Trump was surveilled including Mike Mukasey, James Rosen and most importantly Bill Binney;

Binney is the NSA executive who created the agency’s mass surveillance program for digital information, who served as the senior technical director within the agency, who managed six thousand NSA employees.

He was a 36-year NSA veteran widely regarded as a “legend” within the agency and the NSA’s best-ever analyst and code-breaker.

Binney also mapped out the Soviet command-and-control structure before anyone else knew how, and so predicted Soviet invasions before they happened (“in the 1970s, he decrypted the Soviet Union’s command system, which provided the US and its allies with real-time surveillance of all Soviet troop movements and Russian atomic weapons”).

Binney told Washington's blog;

" NSA has all the data through the Upstream programs (Fairview/Stormbrew/Blarney) [background] and backed up by second and some third party country collection.

Plus the FBI and CIA plus others, as of the last month of the Obama administration, have direct access to all the NSA collection (metadata and content on phones, email and banking/credit cards etc.) with no attempt at oversight by anybody [background]. This is all done under Executive Order 12333 [the order which allows unlimited spying no matter what intelligence officials claim] ....

FBI would only ask for a warrant if they wanted to be able to take it into court at some point given they have something meaningful as evidence. This is clearly true given the fact the President Trump's phone conversations with other country leaders were leaked to the mainstream media.
"

If they weren't spying on him how did they leak his phone calls?

Also OT - March Madness is coming up next week.

I'm running my annual pool, and everyone here is invited:

https://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/t1/group/2359/join?key=0696319417047d0d

If you are asked, it's group #2359, and the password is: ncaa

To be totally clear, there is no gambling involved here, but there is a voluntary mandatory $5 processing fee which will be refunded to some individuals based on the accuracy of their picks :)

You will primarily be competing with a few of my friends, and most of the staff of a small IP law firm in Washington, DC.

Has the Ferret moved out yet? Trump should make it clear that he's going to keep tweeting embarrassing stuff until OFA is shut down.

Good Morning! Senator Angus King held a town hall meeting in Portland over the week-end. His discussion was focused on the Gorsuch nomination. He was preaching to the choir in southern Maine. Why doesn't he do a town hall in the Trump friendly 2nd District? Susan Collins was threatened with protests a couple of weeks ago and agreed to sit down with the activist group Indivisible to hear their concerns. There were no protests at King's meeting. *this is my shocked face*
A member of the audience said to Sen. King, "Obama nominated Garland with only a year left in his term,do you think Trump will be President in a year?"
This remark was met with laughs and applause. Moonbats.

Tom Bowler

Thanks, Clarice. I was hoping you might take a look, since you and TM are the experts on everything Plame.

There are so many similarities between then and now with Comey as the common denominator. That Russian Dossier reminds me of the Niger Forgeries. British spy Christopher Steele and Italian spy Rocco Martino, players or patsy's in each. Rogue and disgruntled CIA in both cases leaking classified intelligence. I've always believed those rogue CIA (VIPS) attempted a coup and tried to bring Bush down with those forgeries. Now the deep state's attempting another with President Trump. Nice job Tom Bowler.

I second what Clarice just said.
