Who are you and what have you done with TM™?

“Natalia didn’t speak a word of English,” said one source. “Don’t let anyone tell you this was a sophisticated lobbying effort. It was the least professional campaign I’ve ever seen. If she’s the cream of the Moscow intelligence community then we have nothing to worry about.”

As I've been trying to say: it's the little human details that provide illumination.

surburban gal

I am only a lurker usually and miss things when out of country, but does anyone else ever wonder why fairly basic questions never get asked or not answered? For examples:
1. Who hired Craig Livingston?
2. Who put the billing records in the library and when--staff would have noticed?
3. Why did we overthrow Khaddafi?
4. Why was it so time sensitive to overthrow him then?
5. Why was CNN so up, running, and connected in Turkey so that Erdogan went immediately from his plane to CNN during the "coup"?
6. When did the Clinton campaign start working with the Ukrainians? What did they get from them? Is that why Hillary was so sure that Putin was opposed to her?
7. If she doesn't speak English, who spoke in the meeting?

I must be stupid....

I done hpknow the answer tie the first two, but remember arrange leaked his big batch in 2010, then the upridibf in Abe Salem prison came not longer after, then bin qumu ended up of the trainers fir the rebels, along with belhadj

I must be stupid...

Me too. I, for some reason, thought The Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces should have only a single allegiance.

Suburban gal, YOU are what USED TO BE CALLED......LOGICAL. We an inundated EVERY SINGLE DAY, by HORDES. .. yes....literally HORDES of MARXIST, NONSENSICAL, BIASED, DISHONEST memes and broadcasters, who REFUSE to use LOGIC, SENSE, INTELLECT and any sense of REALITY. THERE IS ZERO EVIDENCE nor REASON, nor LOGIC involved in ANY of this.

This will NOT end NICELY.

You will particularly like this article. I sure did!

Full title:

"Donald Trump Jr. Wanted Dirt On Hillary From the Russian Govt. — OMG That's AWESOME!"

The USG letting her in would have been concurrent with the FusionGPS fanfiction (it doesn't rise to the level of dossier). It is alleged that the FBI made or was willing to make payments to the writer of said document. The Russian lawyer is just the type who could snooker McFiendish and Lackeys to spread it around.

good qurstions suburban gal. re: Libya, iirc Total and ENI had some problems and the regime was already teetering. Don't forget that at the time food prices were spiking worldwide, oil had ramped and crashed, and many of the countries in the MENA were slashing food and fuel subsidies.

>>>7. If she doesn't speak English, who spoke in the meeting?<<<

The Circa write up I saw mentioned a translator was present.

Regarding the lawyer, I thought she was a Russian Expat living in London ...

Great to see your comments Extraneus.

Once again, I am extremely happy to not see a pantsuited person waddling down those AF1 stairs accompanied by the First Geezer.

from the Hill ... so the visa waiver had to come from Lynch ...

>>>That work was a far cry from the narrow reason the U.S. government initially gave for allowing Veselnitskaya into the U.S. in late 2015, according to federal court records.

The Moscow lawyer had been turned down for a visa to enter the U.S. lawfully but then was granted special immigration parole by then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch for the limited purpose of helping a company owned by Russian businessman Denis Katsyv, her client, defend itself against a Justice Department asset forfeiture case in federal court in New York City.

During a court hearing in early January 2016 as Veselnitskaya’s permission to stay in the country was about to expire, federal prosecutors described how rare the grant of parole immigration was as Veselnitskaya pleaded for more time to remain in the United States.

“In October the government bypassed
the normal visa process and gave a type of extraordinary
permission to enter the country called immigration parole,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul Monteleoni explained to the judge during a hearing Jan. 6, 2016.

“That's a discretionary act that the statute allows the Attorney
General to do in extraordinary circumstances. In this case, we
did that so that Mr. Katsyv could testify. And we made the
further accommodation of allowing his Russian lawyer into the
country to assist,” he added.<<<

Mighty nice of 'um ...

Yes, SO accommodating of Lynch. She's a regular humanitarian.

Good news, but way down at the bottom of the article I see that the first team to arrive was Iran.

So someone at State was barring the Afghans in order to cause embarrassment to the administration, if you ask me.

MM, when I have a night like it appears you've had, I just accept it. There are almost always nap times that pop up as the day unfolds. If not--coffee!
I have noticed that if I do not drink after six, I sleep well, pretty much all the time.
(Sadly, drinking at the hospital has fallen out of fashion, so that doesn't ever happen on workdays. My father in law the radiologist lunched at the club in the GM Building on workdays and drank not one but two martinis back in the (Mad Men) day. Brits still did even when I trained. I blame the progs that have flooded the med schools. No fun ever allowed!)

Something in Campari (or red vermouth) must be a raging stimulant for me. I had two Negronis over the course of the afternoon Saturday, and barely slept at all.
I know for a fact it is not the gin!

n+1 here. YMMV

Momma went home yesterday, brother on duty. All's well. Thanks JOMers.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Probably the wine I had last night, anonamom.

If I disappear later, you'll know I am napping. I have to be fairly alert this afternoon because I have to take Maggie to the vet and it's a 20-minute drive.

Apparently he is considering a 2020 run. It will not end well because although he's rich, he doesn't have a personality.

TM, don't get excited about the deal until it's to the 3-2 pitch.

Anonamom, good to hear your mom is back home. Worrying about her may have been keeping you up over the weekend.

Morning Miss Marple.

Just starting catch-up and I cannot get that Truepundit link to open for me on the previous thread about McCain being fingered as a leaker. I also cannot get TruePundit in any form to open for me.

Here was the link:

If anyone can get that story to open would you please paste it if it's a worthwhile read?

Captain Hate

Sadly, drinking at the hospital has fallen out of fashion, so that doesn't ever happen on workdays.

I had a gin and tonic during lunch when I was interviewed by the third rate electric utility. It was 100% commonplace at the time (1974) before the bluenoses infiltrated everything.

I doubt we'll need a Last Page link thingy, but if we do...

Another Bob

Here you go,daddy...

This could be the beginning of the end for embattled Sen. John McCain’s life in politics. According to White House officials, McCain is believed to have somehow gained access to the content of President Donald Trump’s private, classified telephone calls with world leaders. And he isn’t keeping quiet about what was talked about either.

An analysis of McCain’s recent public statements by White House officials, coupled with information from intelligence personnel working with the Trump administration, paints a disturbing picture for McCain — or any elected U.S. politician. Officials believe the senator has inside knowledge of a number of President Trump’s telephone conversations, including at least one conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Even more alarming, officials believe McCain is secretly sharing this sensitive information with colleagues and his cabal of friendly mainstream media journalists in a dangerous clandestine campaign to damage Trump’s presidency even before it has a chance to succeed. Trump has been searching for media rats in the Beltway in recent weeks. White House aides are confident they have now outed one of the major leaks plaguing the early days of the Trump presidency. To everyone’s surprise, it is a senior senator supposedly belonging to the same side of the political aisle as the president.

McCain has been lambasting Trump to anyone and everyone who will listen since the newly minted president’s inauguration. This includes a Russian comedian who pranked McCain posing as Ukraine Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. Even during that troubling conversation, where McCain shared sensitive U.S. intelligence with an imposter, White House aides said McCain unknowingly exposed himself as having inside knowledge of Trump’s telephone conversations.

Like Our News? Then Help Support Our Independent Journalism!

“He has been given transcripts or actually listened to the calls and is sharing what he has heard,” an administration insider said. “There is no doubt. He is one of the major leaks.”

Just last week, True Pundit published a troubling account of how a Russian comedian duped McCain, the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee. McCain incredibly even coached the phone-prankster-posing Prime Minister on joining NATO.

This audio recording of the phone call is absolutely incredible.

It’s time for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to determine the level McCain’s involvement and just how many laws he has broken.

GUS: "JimNorCal!!!! Am I wrong, OR, are you currently in SE Wisconsin????"

No, I posted snips from an article. The writer bought a place in WI in order to escape taxes in IL. I am back in NorCal but just recently back from spending time in MIchigan with my brother and sister.

Another Bob

That story is way thin, if you ask me.

The McCain story is 5 months old.

Jack is Back!

Morning all,

I figured long time ago that McCain was a leaker because of all the favorable face time as the "sensible" Republican he gets on the main nets. You scratch my back.......well you know how it goes. And not just for McRino.

Another Bob

Need to keep an eye on Twitter today. Per WH anon on 4chan, something good breaks today. Only hint offered: Watch Mueller.

We'll see.

Thanks for pasting that, A'Bob.

I was wondering if it was going to be the same story we are promised will be leaked on FOX NEWS starting at @10AM today, but if it's 5 months old like Danoso says, I guess not.

The John Nolte piece linked at 3:17 and the Kurt Schlichter piece at 4:12 pretty much sum up my attitude.

After 8 years of Zippy, and basically being told to sit down and STFU while the prog machine shoved shit sandwiches down our throat, I'm ready for seeing the machine steamrollered.

Not all that picky about what model steamroller gets used.

Trump model steamroller is rough around the edges, but made from heavy gauge steel. So far, deflecting the incoming and continuing to make forward progress.

Nobody said this was going to happen without a fight.

This is an old story, from 2014-15, but I didn't know about this detail, and Greta was tweeting about it the other day (seems now that she's free from MSNBC she's allowed to say positive things about Trump):

More details:

"In all seriousness, Donald did help out Sgt. Tahmooressi. He sent him some money to help him jump start his life. Sgt. Tahmooressi rotted in a Mexican prison for 214 days," Van Susteren said on her show "On The Record." "President Obama wouldn't even pick up the phone to help."

If she doesn't speak English, who spoke in the meeting?

I figured there was an interpreter, but then this "20 minute meeting" was effectively more like 10 minutes, since everything had to be translated in both directions.

Another story I'd missed, only a couple of days old: For all the clueless misfit westerners going over and joining ISIS, there are also people like Nicholas Warden and Robert Grodt, who went over and joined the Kurds fighting ISIS, and gave their lives. I hate to link WaPo, but this is worth reading:

In a video posted by the YPG, Warden said he was from Buffalo and traveled to join the YPG in February to fight the Islamic State because of the attacks inspired by the terrorist group in places such as San Bernardino and Orlando. His father, Mark Warden, said that he had “extensive military experience,” including two deployments to Afghanistan and five years in the French Foreign Legion with more than 100 airborne jumps. He added that his son had also fought the terrorist group Boko Haram in Chad.

A couple threads back in talking about some news article somebody mispelled the word 'story' as 'stroy.' That made me laugh as it struck me that a 'stroy,' as in destroy is exactly what we might call every story put out by the Times, the WaPo, and CNN---nothing but 'stroy' after 'stroy' after 'story,' intentionally fabricated by journalistic assasins to specifically destroy Trump.

If we need a new cromulent word in order to give a heads up on what we are about to read from the usual suspects, I recommend 'stroy.'

This is a better link

The lawfare never ends. Now the Fed 7th says right to work is OK, but still a Dane county judge has ruled against it.

Speaking of 'stroy', here's a decent story about the worlds top 'stroy' generator: Frankly, NY Times – we don’t give a damn

Jack is Back!

Thanks for that link. I love Jack Englehard. Indecent Proposal is one of my favorite all time reads. Did not know he was writing for Aruz.

He is only echoing the guy on Rush the other day. "I don't care, I just don't care".

But this is your Dad's old sweater as you pull that loose thread inch by inch until it's threadbare and exposes the nothingness underneath. Either today or the 27th we should see how far the unthreading has come.

Please, God, make it today so we can all get on with the real things that matter.

"No longer do the NYT or the WaPo fact-check their sources or adhere to even minimal journalistic ethics. Like too many airhead celebrities who think people care what they think about anything, mainstream journalists are of one mind: get rid of Trump by any means, the ends will be justifiable. So what if good people are maligned, their careers ruined, their jobs lost? So what if the stories they print are mere speculation meant to fuel a few days of scandal. One day, they hope. something will stick."...

The swamp will not drain itself

So comey lied but he is still a swamp denizen

I woke up this morning with a revelation. (I'm probably late to the party)

The left is staging a coup.

I think that we should recognize that, address it, and talk about it endlessly until every American is aware of it - as common knowledge.

I think we need to ask democrats about it endlessly, and ask them is they plan to overturn the constitution if they win, and make them reveal their plans.

We need a movement like the tea party to remind Americans every day that the democrats want to overthrow this country and replace it with ...

Who knows?

Let the people decide.

James D.

So what if good people are maligned, their careers ruined, their jobs lost?

And this is why I have no respect at all for any MSM outlet; and why I would be happy to see libel laws expanded.

Because the MSM has absolutely no regard for the people who may be harmed by their stories, and no remorse when it turns out they were wrong.

Good Morning! rse, school consolidation is a good solution for the schools in Maine. The depopulation in the northern part of the state is going to force some difficult decisions.

In other Maine news, the Democrat state rep who posted the vile anti-Trump rant on Facebook has brought unwanted attention to his employer. He works for Good Shepard Food Bank, which is the largest food bank in the state. My personal opinion is they should fire him. How about some accountability?

Jane the coup is on going,

That paper is actually not about school consolidation. It's about ensuring there are no recalcitrant districts or supers from the change the child template.

"The kind of persons our students will become" should not come in by stealth sold as a fiscal measure.

That link actually says that several times in its student-centered language way. KW is also the same group that wrote the Inside Out paper from my previous post.

common man

Insty last evening put this up, again. Still evergreen he notes:

The basic formula for every breaking Trump/Russia story is essentially as follows:

The New York Times or Washington Post releases an article that at first blush appears extremely damning.
Anti-Trump pundits and Democrats react reflexively to the news, express shrieking outrage, and proclaim that this finally proves untoward collusion between Trump and Russia — a smoking gun, at last.
Aggrieved former Clinton apparatchiks *connect the dots* in a manner eerily reminiscent of right-wing Glenn Beck-esque prognostication circa 2009.
Self-proclaimed legal experts rashly opine as to whether the new revelation entails some kind of criminally actionable offense. (Recall the now-laughable certitude that felled National Security Advisor Mike Flynn violated the 200+ year old Logan Act.). . .
The notion of Russian “collusion” being key to toppling Trump becomes further implanted in the minds of the most energized Democratic activists. . . .
Pointing out these glaring flaws in the latest anti-Russia frenzy is immediately construed by cynics as “defending Trump” or “defending Sessions” when it most assuredly is not. At least in my own case, it’s a defense of not getting enraptured by irrational hysterics to further short-term political aims.
People who’d spent the past 12 hours frothing at the mouth gradually come to realize that their initial furor was probably overblown, and that a more sober look at the actual facts at hand reveal that the anti-Trump chorus probably got ahead of itself…again.

Yeah narc, but what are we doing about it. We need a movement.

I have also read the Guidelines for Maine schools after the Kentucky Center for Innovation in Education touted them as a model for holistically targeting the Whole Child.

It is literally the Arationality model because I have the book referred to in the guidelines so I know what it really describes. I am only partially poking fun at having a big library on this topic.

"When you have an illegal alien President who robs the treasury blind for 8 years and all of Congress and the entirety of the DOJ sit on their hands..?

You just might be watching a coup."

My personal opinion is they should fire him.

I repeat to myself regularly what someone said is the definition of A friend: Someone who, when you make an ass of yourself, realizes it is not a permanent job.

My first job as boss is to see if an employee who makes a mistake is coachable. Then, try to develop a more successful employee.

It is time to fire someone when that person realizes that he/she does not have the skill set or temperament for the job.

So I wouldn’t fire today, but tomorrow is a possibility.

+1 TK

Is the secret news we were promised the story that Loretta Lynch approved that Russian babes entry without VISA to the US, or are we still expecting something else?

common man

Well you know Bill and Loretta met on the tarmac in her plane to discuss grandchildren, right?

That post about the HuffPost making a Middle America tour makes it sound like they are going on safari to some strange land.

And I won't even get into this bit, "...I see the role of HuffPost as speaking for really everyone."

Katherine Herridge supposed to have some report in a few minutes. C'mon Katherine. Gimme', gimme,' gimme!

Just following Zuckerberg's example of elite tours of flyover land.

Someone give Chris Stirewalt some Kat Timpf glasses. What a boob. I'm sad he didn't follow his girlfriend Megan over to NBC.

Does anyone here know anything about Deepwater wind farms? (They just constructed a wind farm off Block Island.). They are trying to put a wind farm off East Hampton, and have the support of Gov. Cuomo and the democrat-controlled town board.

Local fishermen are fighting for their commercial lives against the turbines, since the high-voltage cables will be running right through the fishing (and cod-egg-laying) areas under the ocean, bays, and wetlands off EH. Fishermen claim Deepwater has donated to Cuomo, as they donated to the Rhode Islanders who rammed the Block Island project through.

All the greenies in town are salivating for the off-shore "windmills."

Anyway, went to a meeting about it last night and would really appreciate any input. Jack? Do you know anything about any of this?

Katherine Herridge's report was simply that it was the Lynch DOJ that allowed this Russian Babe to enter. We already knew that, so maybe there's something else.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

No kidding. Just woke up in time for the coverage from Fox, which I have on a live stream.

Perfect comment about Stirewalt. He used to be Megy Kelly's go-to guy for politics when she had her show on Fox.

And who is the other guy they had on? Rich Lowry, notorious purveyor of the NR "Against Trump" issue.

I am pretty glad I am not paying for this coverage. HA!

Probably no longer a secret.

Moscow attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya showed up in Washington in the front row of a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on Russia policy, video footage of the hearing shows."

Jack is Back!

Will cross post on new thread also.

Grybowski, the CEO of Deepwater, is a slick deal maker out of NYC but I think they are now in Providence. That farm is only 30MW. May be just enough to power Block Island and some of RI but is meaningless.

He has GE behind him. It's their turbines and they think wind is the "green" future while they know that their gas turbines and steam turbines are the real future world-wide. Playing both sides down the middle. Without GE he has nada.

Bad idea to push this to the South Fork. Why not erect them on Plum Island?

Will ask around to friends and see what they know.

Returning to inapt sports metaphors, how about "An hour to play and the last man in"?
