This homeless problem is more pressing than the transgender Obama was obsessed with throughout his term.
Dems do nothing for blacks or the homeless except bribe them to vote.

Words fail. The way to get homeless poop out of important urban areas is to get the homeless to where they can poop--or must poop, as Giuliani so successfully had it in NYC under his tutelage.

Well, I don't know about fecal material but ...

http://thepoliticalinsider.com/40005-2/
The left-wingers who run New York City are about to make it 100% legal to urinate in public. Why? Because many blacks and minorities have been fined or arrested for it. They would rather legalize this disgusting behavior than enforce basic rules of public sanitation.

Is there something about San Diego's climate...

You mean Alta-Tia Juana?

Kidding aside, San Diego made big real estate/development decisions off of the blight scam. Redevelopment monies get stolen fare and square from the State and Fed level if you can prove the area is in desperate need of help.

Downtown San Diego welcomed the bum camps to qualify for redevelopment dough. When the hi rise condos are done, they will be shipped to another part of the county.

They didn't expect the vagrant Homo-Priders to wrong hole their unwitting scheme members.

The definitive answer re: Muhammed in the Aussie Lamb Ad, is as follows:

Secular human gal chatting on the phone with Muhammed.

Secular girl: "Sure. I'll see you next time." Hangs up.

Jesus: Can't make an appearance?"

Secular gal: Daycare pickup.

Jesus: That is a shame."

Hey!

Back from Frederick's JV game against Southampton. They were down 12-0 and came back to win 28-19, in which Frederick playing safety made a game saving tackle. Well, game saving until Mercy score another TD to make it a 2 possession game. Like I told him, the most impressive thing isn't the win or the points or the spread but that they came from 12 behind in the 2nd half.

So, he and his Key Biscayne friends who are still here, were treated with 2 large pizzas from P&G (one of or favorites).

Anyone know what these TWC stunt men and women do when there is no bad weather?

Important stuff from Pompeo interview (only caught last half):

Trump supports intelligence community and war with IC is a construct of media.

Trump is a good consumer of intelligence, asks hard questions.

Miss Marple, I'll try to catch it later, but right there in bold is the problem.

You see, I recall all the way back to 2009 when Obama couldn't ask a question without it being "a withering question." Every question he asked, as described by The New York Times, The Washington Post, etc, was withering. Army Generals cowered from his withering questions. Republican women cried at his withering questions. Heck, he couldn't ask Where's the bathroom?" without it being withering.

Eventually tho' even the Times got to where they realized he was such a doofus even they couldn't pretend any longer that Obama's questions were withering, so about mid 2010 the media started describing his questions as just basic old questions and gave up on the adjectives.

I'm worried that since Trump is starting out at a lower level by only asking only hard questions, not withering questions, that his question adjectives may go south even sooner than Obama's adjectives did:(

The permissiveness and indulgence of the Sixties, along with our entertainment industry's continued glorification of drugs and unbridled pleasure seeking, have all contributed to several generations of our youth having no fear of drugs or their dangers.

I know many people will say mental illness is behind homelessness; and, I understand that probably a large majority of the homeless are mentally ill. But I can't help but think that addiction to drugs is the main problem in a city like San Diego, supposedly one of the most beautiful in our country.

How sad, how very, very sad.

Where was everyone 9/11?

I was in London and signed the book of condolences at a special tent set up on Grovesnor Square across from our embassy. Very moving.

But before that while at work on Ludgate Hill we all went outside and stood in the street facing St. Peter's for the formal memorial service that the royals attended. Everyone began singing the national anthem, America the Beautiful and God Bless America.

The feel good story from the wayback machine of Ari Fleisher's annual 9/11 tweets of his memories of that day and week: [After the attacks and Bush at the school, they had to dump all but 5 reporters for AF1]

"The reporters in FL had to take a bus back. It took a couple days. The reporters at Barksdale were luckier - the Air Force flew them back.

"I went back to my office and briefed the small number of reporters who didn't make the trip to FL. Their colleagues were stranded."

But it will give the elite liberals that "authenticity" they crave for their own lifestyles as globetrotters who transcend all of the unpleasant details of poverty and starvation.

Socially engineered privation means that people die so that the elites can extract their due pyschological wage from being more than their lessers.

I think Fagan is from Louisiana near N'awleans. I missed the show but the next day callers were calling in to the regular host asking what the h*** had happened to him. Fagan is nuts if he thinks Begich isn't a nightmare to Alaska's freedom and self sufficiency from DC. Fagan has a bizarre tendency to so harshly attack whoever is in power that he goes overboard in looking thru rose-colored glasses at any possible replacement for whoever's currently in power. Where was everyone on 9;11?

I was at the Cleveland Clinic with my parents - my dad was having heart valve replacement surgery. My mom and I were staying in the guest housing and were surrounded by ME families. Men striding ahead in their snow white outfits being followed by their pitiful wives covered head to toe in black, schlepping along with all the bags of groceries. That made for a very uncomfortable few days. My dad was supposed to be discharged but could not ride in a car. He refused to believe that Delta could not fly him back to Atlanta. They eventually got us on the first flight out.

One of the muslim doctors was heard cheering out in the hallway. We heard he was later fired. It was hard to be away from my husband and children on such a day.

From the deck off his office he watched the smoke pouring out of the Pentagon down the river. It was weeks until we could re-schedule and the security measures had just been put in place. we had to go from Baltimore, the line to enter the airport was huge; we were delayed for hours going thru the slow moving security line and couldn't be allowed out for food or water when the plane was delayed so we sat for several hours more. I thought I would not be able to see my son and his family much if this was going to continue.

Where was everyone 9/11?

I was at work on a perfect early September cloudless and cool day. I was the only one in my work area when my wife called. She said that they had the tv on in their office at Crewe U and that a plane had crashed into a WTC tower. I asked if it was a small private plane or a helicopter that a gust of wind blew off course and she said it looked bigger than that. I said that doesn't make any sense and it sounds like a really big screwup for which heads will roll and I have work to do so talk with you later. Then a few minutes later she called back and told me a second plane hit and I said Oh shit with a hollow feeling. Then things just got chaotic as lots of crazy rumors started, but after what already happened what is crazy.

They told us to go home at 10. They shut all the Rapids down, for whatever reason, so I had to take a bus home which was packed. There's a certain camaraderie at times like that; I was recovering from having my Achilles' tendon reattached and had a walking boot; people offered me their seat but I told them I was fine. When I got home I called Mrs H and asked if she'd heard from the girls but she said with the towers down communications were terrible. We eventually got in touch; the older one living in the Carroll Gardens area of Brooklyn just missed getting stuck in a subway going uptown through the WTC stop when the first plane hit. Eventually papers from the WTC blew into her back yard. The younger was out of harm's way at Columbia and watched a lot of the action from a building roof. We got calls from as far away as France checking on them.

Since I was in charge of our application at work, there was a conference call on securing the data no matter what crazy situation happened. I, like everyone else, didn't want to be there; we had regular disaster recovery tests sporadically on early Sunday mornings (2am) and knew what to do if the people responsible for restoring it did what they were supposed to. So I muted my receiver enough to do other stuff unless my opinion was needed.

One of the strangest things I remember, assuming my memory is correct, is that when, days later, tv programming stopped being nonstop 9/11 news, CBS showed the documentary "Pistol Pete: the Life and Times of Pete Maravich" narrated by Harry Connick Jr., which I enjoyed and was a suitably oddball way to get back to some type of normalcy.

Even when the site was worth commenting on and he wasn't acting like a paranoid lunatic, he made it clear that he wasn't politically conservative. My hypothesis is that he was getting frozen out of the microscopic niche of smooth jazz gigs when LGF began being known as a conservative forum and had to do something about it. I have no way of testing that because I don't think his contact with reality is any greater than fleeting and problematic these days.

I was on the SawMill Parkway in Westchester driving my son to his school in the Bronx when suddenly all traffic stopped. We could see smoke rising from lower Manhattan. We got to the school just as the second plane hit. All traffic into and out of Manhattan was stopped, so many of the kids who lived in Manhattan couldn't get home and stayed with Westchester families for the night. A lot of parents worked on Wall Street and -- as you might imagine -- kids were freaking out.

It was eerie because no one was allowed on the roads -- all you saw or heard was emergency vehicles coming from upstate. We went to give blood the next morning-- zillions of people lined up to do so -- but it soon became clear there weren't the thousands of victims we thought there were originally. Pretty much you either got out or died.

After the plane hit the Pentagon, the metro was closed down. The buses either weren't running or were jammed and some people couldn't get into their parking garages for their cars. People traveling up the main thoroughfares who had cars gave lifts to everyone they could. Many however, just had to ankle it from downtown to NW DC and the Md suburbs. I'm about two blocks from a main street and for hours into the evening I could hear people walking and walking to try to get home,
People were afraid for weeks afterward to go downtown to eat , and so my husband and I made a point of going and tipping generously because the service employees were really hurting then.

I think it was my DiL in LA who called to tell me to turn on the TV though I don't recall whether she told me why,. By the time I did, both planes had hit and the bodies soon starting dropping.

The WTC as you may recall was the scene some years earlier of a bombing attempt that fizzled. You may also recall it was the crack SDNY US Attys who allowed themselves to be played and the main villain escaped the country while they were futzing about with a nincompoop he had persuaded to return twice to the truck rental agency to ge a refund for the truck that carried the bomb.

Where was everybody on 9/11?

I watched Good Morning America every morning while I was getting ready for work, so when Charles Gibson and Dianne Sawyer began the reporting of the plane hitting, and then it seems like immediately there were pictures, I stood watching the news until I was late for work. I zipped in to work and no one there knew about it, so we turned on one of the attorney's television and watched. I can remember the towers collapsing. I was so angry, so furious I wanted to fight someone. The attorney I worked for was a rabid democrat, so I chose him.. I almost got fired. As soon as the stock market opened, I went out and bought as much American Airline stock as I could afford -- also United because of Flight 93.

My mother, who was 86, painted an American flag on one of her 18 x 24 canvases, and she'd attached it to her front door. She said she was so nervous, she had to do something for her country. I asked her to paint me one, and I have it on a shelf that I see every day -- and I never fail to think of 9/11 or my sweet, brave mother, who, I believe, would have enlisted the day after 9/11 if they'd have let her.

I was in bed sleeping. I believe I may have landed just after midnight the evening before, but momma popped on the TV in our bedroom and I was instantly awake, and for the rest of the day.

I also have to say that the morning we landed in LA or John Wayne, just as the City erupted into the Rodney King riots, also was a time when the emotional punch in the belly was so severe that even tho' I was exhausted I was suddenly totally awake and couldn't have slept for anything. That affected me because the fires had started before we took off from I think Fort Worth at 3 AM, so by the time we got low over the city at dawn there was lots of smoke and I made the mistake of turning on the TV when I got in the Hotel room.

jimmyk

JiB. The FPL map just shows counties, total customers, and customers without power. They added power to 3,000 customers since lunch in Collier County. No way to tell where in the county, nor what parts have toasted substations versus something easier.

Thanks lurkersusie. That is the general "remain calm" crap that makes no one trust authority (sob must be out of pike reach from angry mobs). They have more info, just not honest enough to share it with those affected. (Not that any airports are open, or anyone has enough gas to get to an airport if power will be out for weeks).

Captain Hate

JiB, a lot of it has to do with the age of the distribution system that's being impacted. If it's in a new development things will go fast, all things being equal, because everything's been cut back around it for easy access. Older places will have growth all around it wreaking random havoc. That's just a rule of thumb. There was a freakish random wind storm back in the 90s by large old houses in Cleveland Heights and Shaker that took over a week to restore power in some cases. I had friends copping attitudes toward me like I was personally responsible for it.

Mr Porch's band was scheduled to fly to Missoula at noon on 9/11/01. The wives and girlfriends (I was one of the latter at the time) were supposed to fly up the next day. We were going to hike and fish; I had never visited before.

I was still in bed when my BIL called and left a message after the first plane hit. I couldn't hear what he was saying exactly, because the phone was in the next room, but he sounded agitated, so I got up and called him. He is super liberal but he called it an act of war, which it was.

I turned on the TV in time to see the second plane hit. I called my dad, who didn't answer. He called back a few minutes later. He had just left the doctor's office. While we were talking, the South Tower fell.

Mr Porch and I and his brother and his girlfriend (now wife) spent the day smoking and drinking coffee and staring at the TV. Around 5 pm we realized we hadn't eaten. We went to a Mexican place we often frequented to get tacos to go. They were unfriendly, and we didn't feel welcome. I haven't gone back there since.

Sixteen years later, this past summer, I finally made it up to Missoula for the first time.

I still have the microcassette with the answering machine message from my BIL. I have never listened to it, but I couldn't bear to get rid of it.

maryrose, not really terrifying so much as just concerned. I was sure the one at Columbia was out of harm's way where she was and the older one had no reason to be around the action except on the subway. Plus I'd been to visit them multiple times and was confident that by and large they didn't do goofball things to put themselves at risk in a city that Rudy had made a lot safer.

Our place in Longboat Key is 2 doors down from where GW was staying. If you recall he was visiting a classroom when the hits occurred. Just before that (according to all reports) a white van full of Arab looking men showed up at the gates of the resort where the hotel was located, asking for him. They were not admitted. Don't recall any follow up to tht.

Great, power back for another 2000 in the past hour. 200,000 to go (in Collier). Ugh.

--We went to a Mexican place we often frequented to get tacos to go. They were unfriendly, and we didn't feel welcome.--

?
Was it the Flying Burrito Brothers who hit the towers?

Last year here we were dissecting Hillary's health after seeing her unceremoniously "thrown into the van like a side of beef" leaving the WTC memorial. We were wondering why Bill wasn't there, wondering who the huge black guy that went everywhere with her was, gobsmacked that but for video from an fellow who just happened to be in position to record her "curb dive" the msm would have successfully buried it, wondering if the woman seen leaving Chelsea's apartment later that day was a ringer, etc. Ugh. What a wonderful difference a year makes.

I was laying on the couch watching in amazement and anger as the towers burned when Mrs Iggy got up and came out and asked "What's up?"
All I could squeak out was "That" and pointed with the remote to the TV.

No utility inventories enough equipment to rebuild their grid nor do they staff to be able to do so. They couldn't recover those expenses through rates. As I type I am sure that there are probably more than a hundred crews and vehicles headed to the affected areas from northern/western states. The utility industry is known for mutual assistance.

Every foreign utility vehicle will require a local rider with radio access and grid knowledge. Every utility builds to their own standard. The logistics are staggering. Housing and meals for those providing assistance as well as their own crews.

Jack is Back!

It was our generations pre & currents 12/7 and a wake up call.

But we are not use to long, long wars. Vietnam lasted 2 years in America's heart but this one is getting old too. Not a lot of people understand how different this one is. Its not a war so much as a special, continuous operation to rid a virus, much like what doctors do. Try this antibiotic and if doesn't work try this one.

We are running out of antibiotics for this Islamic virus and we may have to go not necessarily nuclear but destroy Iran's provacuteurs and Pakistani's ISI.
