Oh dear, the Cowtards played the Tardinals????

Who scored the winning run?

The NFL carp will blow over soon, but we'll see how much long term damage they've done to themselves (not that it will be reported).

Captain Hate

Not yet ready to pledge to blow off the entire NFL season.

I am; the NBA too if LeBron doesn't STFU and play. They chose poorly and need to learn that dumbass actions have consequences.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Ralph L.,

I don't think it's going to blow over. What has been seen cannot be unseen.

Twitter is full of people burning gear. People like LeBron James say things like Ohio voters weren't "educated" and that's why they went for Trump.

What I want to know is who instigated this protest to begin with, as I don't think they cared about Koepernick that much. I wonder if President Trump knows who is behind this and that's why he keeps tweeting about it.

GUS

Tom, do you still have my phone number?? I need yours.

What is a LeBron?? Is that a V-8 Chrysler?

Great interview on @foxandfriends with the parents of Otto Warmbier: 1994 - 2017. Otto was tortured beyond belief by North Korea.

Porchlight

It will be, eventually, like the big BLM protests during the election - once it dawns on the instigators that Trump is winning on the issue, the dogs will be called off and the media will pretend it never happened.

But the damage will have been done to NFL football. They're not going to be able to replace their viewership that easily. I can't imagine myself enjoying a game anytime soon.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Porchlight,

I am the same way, although I wasn't a huge fan. The NFL will have to recruit some new people who are obviously patriotic and grateful for being allowed to lay for a lot of money.

Marlene

Good Morning! We've done our small part for the cause of cutting the cord or in our case, disconnecting the sat tv. I called last week to disconnect. When we return from Florida next spring,we'll figure out what to use for internet streaming. Anyway,I received two calls from the company asking why we disconnected. If they are so concerned about losing one customer in the Maine woods, then business must be suffering.

Ralph L

Someone at Althouse said the Clinton Global Foundation was shut down after the election, possibly to avoid auditors. Is that true?
Yuge if it is.

jimmyk

The NFL has become like Hollywood, apparently ready and willing to throw away $millions to politicize their product. Unfortunately both industries can survive, though at least Hollywood has a semblance of competition. The NFL can survive because there's no real alternative.

Marlene

Howie Carr talked about this yesterday...at the Patriots game on Sunday,it was so hot that they sold out of bottled water. They started using tap water in plastic cups and sold it for $4.50. That will endear fans to the NFL!
We've had our warmest *summer* weather here during the first week of fall! Must be that crazy climate change.

GUS

Rancid Rodham was just on TEEVEE telling me about Mr Trump being such a RACIST.
Her friend ROBERT BYRD could not be reached for comment.

Marlene, my sister got her TW cable bill reduced twice by quitting. Or was it the price increase removed?
Keeping it for just half a year does seem like a waste.

SQ-I think this as an example answers some of your questions from last night. https://www.culturalevolution.org/docs/ICE-Growing-Out-of-Americas-Divided-Culture.pdf

There really is a desire for organized cultural evolution where in the end there will only be one acceptable worldview. That will be less apparent because as I explained here http://invisibleserfscollar.com/capturing-every-thought-captive-and-sculpting-students-as-systems-driver-of-perfidy/ the main vehicle is education. The aim is neural and quite intentional.

It's also why it has been so crucial to capture the churches. If not individual congregations, certainly at the level of who directs the various faiths like the Pope, bishops, President of SBC, etc.

rse

Have at it. https://www.culturalevolution.org/publications/

Captain Hate

People like LeBron James say things like Ohio voters weren't "educated" and that's why they went for Trump.

Pretty ironic coming from someone with fewer post high school credits than Brian Williams.

sqauredance

RSE: Those were rhetorical questions. I know full well what is going on.

henry

misleading headline. Urinal Sentinal finds 18,000 registered voters without ID (so they didn't vote). To be accurate, they found 243 by a mail survey but extrapolated. Note how they never allow extrapolation on voting by illegales.

Captain Hate

So the great TREY GOWDY is all upset about Trump Jr's emails? With his track record of doing absolutely nothing I guess the kid's in the clear.

Jack is Back!

Every coin has two sides. You have met Alejandro Villanueva. Now meet Spenser Rapone:

http://taskandpurpose.com/2-usma-combat-vets-2-sides-nfl-kneeling-debate-americas-strength/

West Point graduate, member of Democratic Socialists of America, currently in Infantry Officer training. A committed leftist of the Marxist/Leninist strain.

Now, he is a one off compared to the grads of West Point who emulate Villanueva.

rse

SQ-I know you do, but thought you or others would appreciate the links.

Marry these aims with Big Data and we really do have a problem. Are you familiar with the Behavioral Science Hub and Spoke system the NSF has created in the last two years? The regional action teams began meeting within last two months or so and it covers all 50 states.

rse

Notice too that the author vaunts his 'jd' degree. Enact this into law, which is what federal ed law does and many state statutes the chamber of cronies pushes and here we go.

jimmyk

Getting back to "Talk like Captain Hate" day, this comment over at Althouse on Weiner made me do a double take, thinking it was the Captain under an assumed name:

Anyway, I am sure that Hillary's judgement that her emails as SoS should have gone onto his laptop that probably had more viruses in it than even were splooged all over the screen, remains beyond question.

Of course using "Hillary" was a giveaway that it was not. But otherwise pretty good, I thought.

Captain Hate

You guys are making me feel self conscious. Too bad I haven't taken the time to figure out how to comment on Outhouse's goofball software.

Article about the incident Marlene noted:

http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2017/09/26/gillette-stadium-charges-fans-4-50-for-tap-water-in-cups-after-bottled-water-runs-out.html

New England Patriots fans on Sunday reportedly complained that the stadium charged them $4.50 for cups of tap water after bottled water at the venue was sold out. ... The Patriots acknowledged the issue in a statement to WBZ-TV.

JimNorCal

If they treat an American kid like that, you can just imagine what the NKorean's do to their own people.

sqauredance

RSE: I have heard of it but do not know much about the details. Will check.

Again, we really have to find a way to get your work out in a more distilled form so that everyone can understand what is really going on.

This from the Memeorandum side ticker:

"CNN:

PS. The CoS should not have any overt opinion but that of the President and his policies. If he does, he should resign.

Sheila Jackson Lee takes a knee.

rse

I think this paper from those same links both answers so much about NeverTrumpism as well as the need for a Charlottesville visual confrontation minus the poor girl's death.

It was put out in March 2016 and assumes Trump will lose the general election. The loss would then create the opportunity for the desired cultural evolution of the Right. https://www.culturalevolution.org/docs/ICE-Evolving-Right-and-Left.pdf

Ooops on that one. I have also warned that School Choice does not work as most people assume and it turns into the same psychological change that is called tranzi OBE in my book. There on page 2 is someone I am familiar with financed by the same Bradley F henry and I talk about that is actually behind much of the cultural change via education and other cultural institutions push.

SQ-we recognize the dialectic when we see it, but most people don't. Notice though late in the paper McIntosh starts to openly talk about hegel. Of course he leaves off the most infamous advocate--our dear uncle karl.

Re Sheila Jackson Lee, I wish someone would track her career beginning with her high school in NY, to see if she earned her spot at Yale or received a minority set-aside. Growing up in NY, I doubt she experienced overt racism, certainly not like John Lewis. John Lewis earned a right to take a knee wherever he chooses imo, unlike Showboating Sheila.

More on FB-NFL announcement Sounds like they're broadening what they're already doing. I anticipate demands they include protest activity updates. Some players will be "mic'd up", while others won't. Interesting BLM protest potential there.

Sorry if already posted.

An NBC/WSJ poll released Thursday reveals that more Republican voters consider themselves a “supporter of Donald Trump” rather than a “supporter of the Republican Party.”

A whopping 58 percent of respondents indicated they considered themselves Trump supporters, while only 38 percent indicated they considered themselves supporters of the Republican party. 2 percent see themselves as both, while 1 percent said they were neither.

The poll further reveals a split within the Republican party, as Trump supporters hold a far less positive opinions of many GOP politicians.

For example, only 13 percent of Trump supporters view Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell positively, while 36 percent of Party supporters do.

While 35 percent of Trump supporters view Speaker Paul Ryan positively, 71 percent of Party supporters do. Finally, while 27 percent of Trump supporters view GOP leaders as a whole positively, 51 percent of Party supporters do.

Trump supporters were also more supportive of Trump’s policy decisions overall, such as rescinding DACA and the pardon of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

John Lewis earned a right to take a knee wherever he chooses imo, unlike Showboating Sheila.

Whatever moral high ground Lewis earned earlier in his life, he's deliberately thrown away over the course of his congressional career, especially with his lies about Tea Partiers spitting at him after the passage of Zerocare.

Eff him. He chose to mortgage away his good name, and his soul, a piece at a time. Nobody made him do it.

RattlerGator

That latest tweet from the President advances the kill shot, and further states to everyone concerned -- he knows damn well he has, by far, the winning hand. On the Mike&Mike show on ESPN this morning, you could see the despair and disgust on Mike Greenberg's face. He wants to rebuke the President, but he can't, and Greenberg's exasperation is palpable.

All they have left are lose/lose propositions.

And our President is staring at the NBA, daring them to change their already-existing rule that you must stand for the national anthem.

This guy just continues to impress.

Captain Hate

From narc's Althouse:

When Obama had his White House lawn rally for Obamacare, they handed out white lab coats for the "doctors who supported it."

Two of the 40 white coated "doctors" had actually graduated from medical school and were fully employed by a hospital.

Welcome back my friends

Every MFM TV talking head & Democrat politician should be kneeling whenever they are on TV.
If it is such a powerful display for....whatever the hell it is about....then all supporters should be kneeling at every opportunity. DO IT.

Pelosi should be on her knees with her little fist in the air to support....whatever the hell it is about.
Jake Tapper should get on his knees in solidarity with....whatever the hell it is about.

Janet 🚬

old post about bird-dogging Rep. John Lewis -

Rep. Lewis along with Reps. Carson, Cleaver, & Clyburn were the Democrat Representatives that slandered American citizens on March 20, 2010. They set up a "show" hoping something would happen as they walked through the crowd at the Kill The Bill rally....only, nothing happened. They ran with their made-up story anyway. McClatchy news reporter William Douglas ran the lie first - never verifying if it was true or not. Those Representatives should be ashamed of themselves.
The big story should have been about US Congressmen lying about & slandering American citizens.
