When I hear about 'sports teams uniting to fight racism' or any other swill the left spews, an image of Beyonce's NFL Super Bowl performance pops into my head.

CH, Sen Johnson is onto your Gov. explain your spending letters sent.

“I am seeking to better understand these rising costs, higher-than-expected enrollment and potential eligibility mistakes, especially in states where costs or enrollment are increasing especially quickly,” Johnson wrote to CMS.

Jack is Back!

MM,

Beer money!

henry

Yikes! voting machines decertified. Now they better stick with paper ballots or I will be pissed.

Trying to outdo the GOPe in insulting their base and taking its loyalty for granted.
Push em back, push em back, wayyyyyy back.

sbw, I'm not sure Twitter is the best forum for that, although being able to condense thoughts is a worthy skill. If I were responding I'd say that I owe the country whatever financial obligations living my life incurs and any service that is lawfully required of me. The country owes me the guarantee of liberty and enabling the pursuit of happiness provided I don't infringe on the rights of others.

I hope I didn't step in it or sound like a pompous jackass.

 narciso./

You noticed no one cared about voting machines till democrats lost a close one, and then they insisted on the electronic model, but the congests still had a 50/50 probability of loss.

 narciso./

Yes I think that's a succinct summary captain.

Thank you, narc; to sbw's credit, he made me ponder it for a while.

Steve Scalise is returning to Congress today. He will take part in several votes and will address the House, according to Fox.

MM, It seems difficult to find out who Sen Carson has nominated or I am asking the question wrong. But I agree it would be interesting to find out several of the Senators appointments.

Henry, I'm sure that entered into the decision to disavow.

Jack is Back!

Who's Senator Carson?

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Jack,

pagar didn't realize I was talking about my representative, Andre Carson, crook, democrat, Black Muslim, and embarrassment of Indianapolis.

Buckeye

Spent yesterday visiting museums in Charleston. Jr. and Buckeyette are with us on this vacation, first time in over a decade.

Last stop yesterday was the French Huguenot church. Mrs. Buckeye was ecstatic to find that 3 different X great grandfathers had plaques on the wall as financial patrons (none lived in Charleston). Duvall, Boudinot and Demerest families.

To celebrate we went to Guilart-Maliclet, a little bistro by the courthouse for lunch. Watering hole for the local barrister crowd, but food was very good and surprisingly authentic.

henry

Walker, not doing the arm lock bs tonight.

A pretty good analysis of how we got to this state.

anyone surprised by this?

Kind of, but it's been a long time since I've interacted in person with anyone currently at Big Blew.

This is such a strange and sad thing. The world is full of many strange customs, yet I am still surprised that something like this still exists.

The WAPO front page this morning reports that after Alabama Trimp is defeated and "isolated"--speaking of fake news.

The electric power grid in Puerto Rico is totally shot. Large numbers of generators are now on Island. Food and water on site.

I don't even know what IBM does any more. I have one friend who was at a startup, and the owners brought in IBM to 'professionalize' and take the company to the next level, and they alienated everyone to the point of losing a bunch of the best people.

henry

jimmyk, IBM is weather.com and a circus sideshow called Watson these days.

Clarice Feldman

SCOTUS has agreed to hear Janus v. AFSCME case--death knell for public service unions? I think so..There goes another Dem honey pot.

Davod

Unless the situation has changed, IBM makes most of is money from real estate.

common man

As I recall a 9th circus court decision was upheld by a 4 to 4 vote of the US Supreme Court after Scalia passed away suddenly. Any bets on how Gorsuch will rule? My own guess is Clarice is correct, and no more forcing 1/2 or more of your workers to pay dues just to keep your job...

GUS

Henry, Jr and I were in PigglyWiggly Oconomowoc, boy asked me if I was going to link arms tonight.
Lady in front of me, seconded his question.
I answered... I am going to stand, take off my cap, put my hand over my heart, face the flag, and sing the NATIONAL ANTHEM.
WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING WRONG ALL THESE YEARS??

Captain Hate

The last Big Blew employee I interacted with online did some of the techie stuff at the Open at Flushing Meadows.

Extraneus

Once IBM sold the microelectronics division to GLOBALFOUNDRIES*, they no longer had any people whose job is to develop proprietary products. Now they get their chips where almost everyone else gets theirs: foundries. And any products they make are just packaging parts they buy on the open market. Over the years, IBM went from a developer and maker of cutting-edge products to a service organization, offering consulting and various b.s. like that. Oh, and I think they bought The Weather Channel.

*Actually, it wasn't technically a "sale," since they had to pay them $1.5B to take it.

sbw

CH, any prog/lib will say the country owes them free health care, free college, and free basic income and they owe the country nothing.

I just want them to admit it.

sbw

Oh, and I think they bought The Weather Channel

I thought that was NBC ... who turned it into sob-story entertainment.

Retweeted Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter):
"It would not directly benefit the bottom third of the population."-- NYT. No kidding? You have to PAY taxes to benefit from "tax cuts."

Buckeye

Last IBM people I interacted with were peddling "Big Data Analytics" services, as if this was something new.

Had the buzzwords down pat though:)

Captain Hate

Here you go, Gus:

Well the calls are still coming in with pissed off Packer fans disgusted into the Milwaukee talk station....

They have so completely blown this and are about to reap what they sowed.

Also in the ultimate irony or ironies, ahead of the game tonight in Green Bay the Packers organization has requested additional security and police presence on the field for the protection of the players...betting they're not getting a very positive reaction from the fans on this whole request for "unity"

Its going to be a shit show in Lambeau tonight.

Yes, analytics is the not-so-new strategy buzzword. "Smart" is another. Smart Cities, Smart Water, Smarter Planet, SmartCloud, etc.

You know with Hefner gone, Beasts has to carry the flag for roues.

Ralph L

Beasts already has a flag avatar

Ext, IBM bought Weather.com, not Weather Channel.

We deal in "Smart" everything.

That Schlichter piece is fantastic.

You'd think at some point the GOPe would realize that if they keep ignoring the "angry normals", that they will move onto putting literal GOPe heads onto literal pikes.

We GUS will be there in ALL CAPS STANDING HAT OFF HAND OVER HEART FOR THE ANTHEM. That is a scary thing. (to idiots).

Comanche Voter

There are a bunch of dickless wonders in the GOP congressinal delegation. That said, I'd "take a knee" in prayer that these clowns can pass most of Trump's tax reform proposals. I live in California and the local Los Angeles rag changed it's stock headline "women and children and minorities hardest hit" to "California hardest hit by tax reform" today. Made me put a smile on my face. As the most populous state in the country any change in legislation will almost automatically make California "hardest hit".

That said, Hit 'em again Harder!

I had just checked Sen Ellison and mistakenly wrote Senator.

CH and henry - reminds me of Billy the Bomber Ayers' calling the police to protect him when a "scary"reporter asked him a question on the street in front of his house. Billy didn't mind blowing up a policeman when he didn't need one.
