PL sez Trump is taking charge. Yeehaw. Popcorn locked and loaded.

DrJ

It's so much easier when it's new.

caro tells me that daddy claims that "the first one is the cleanest." ;)

Bunky

Can you indict a ham radio?

anonamom

"Here we go again"?
Is that a Glenn Reynold's guest post?

henry

You can indict anything. What can you convict?

GUS

Let's list the criminals who need to go to GITMO for the COUP attempt.

1)Rodham.

Lock her up.

Janeprobably about 10 minutes after getting ther

I'm not sure the DOJ can investigate the DOJ.

anonamom

2) Brennan
3) Val Jar
4) Comey
5) Clapper

But don't we prefer them to be in a penitentiary with lots of felons?
Not of the white collar variety.

Extraneus

No, amom. If it were, it would be "Here you go again." There's never a "we."

Here are his last two.

OPEN THREAD: Was there any news today?

OPEN THREAD: You know what to do.

Posted at 9:30 pm by Glenn Reynolds

Both are kind of insulting imo, in addition to being super lame as usual.

Extraneus

Btw, you mentioned he posts some weirdly immature sexual things. I thought of you when I read this last night:

IT’S ACTUALLY OBVIOUS IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT: NASA confirms: In space, ‘reverse cowgirl’ and ‘doggystyle’ are the same thing.

Ex, completely agree with your 6:01. Have thought so for years.
So immature that I was quite surprised to learn he was a married man, and even more so that he is father to a daughter.

Porchlight

You can indict anything. What can you convict?

Exactly, and what I have been saying. No one (at least no one on our side) is going to rush into an indictment of this magnitude without an airtight case. This takes time. Sessions is famously thorough. Yet you interpret said time passing as him napping.

I don't see the point of setting unrealistic benchmarks. If someone second-guessed your own work in this way, I imagine you'd have a response.

Extraneus

What a picture. (From the CTH link.)

Beasts of England

There's a commenter at Althouse who's also a PowerLine contributor (David Begley) who posted that Andy McCarthy will be announced as the second Special Counsel and that he's already searching for office space in DC.

I'm merely reporting the comment... :)

henry

Beasts, seems like a great pick if you want to cover up how criminal DOJ is and always has bee.

mockmook

Really?

The way one introduces an Open Thread is a cause for concern?

Whatever.

But, please, tell me where the style-book is so I never go astray....

Extraneus

Andy McCarthy? A guy who takes years to figure out the motivations of total scumbags, while others instinctively sniff them out in minutes?

Er, bad pick. I'd prefer someone randomly selected by a monkey browsing the telephone book.

Extraneus

mockmook, are you saying you've followed this and disagree?

paladin2

From prior thread

GUS
Priestap has gone missing, so it appears that he's given some evidence, but, how can the GOVERNMENT operate, when the ENTIRE TOP of the FBI and DOJ are paralyzed?

That's DJT' job and i am confident he can do it and knows that it must be done.

Define the problem

I am hoping the new CIA director qualifies for the Team

Remember carter's factotum had purged the company just three years before, when 800 operatives are involved.

Beasts of England

That was my initial reaction, henry. He spent most of the last year or more giving tongue baths to the swamp, but his recent missives have taken a solid turn away from same...

Beasts of England

You don't expect him to be as smart as JOM do you, Extraneus? :)

I don’t want Andrew Mccarthy.
Aren’t there any good people without an agenda out there?

henry

I hope GHWB finds peace.

I mentioned carter pages comment on the
Last thread, re dearlove and chilcot report, which was an imperfect document to say the least.

Porchlight

RIP GHWB. Rough month for the Bush family. I hope the family can take solace that George and Barbara are reunited with Robin.

That is weird, because GHWB arrived in Maine today.

maryrose

Why Sept 1st for wrap up of Obstruction probe per Giuliani?
Why not June 1st?
You mean we have to pay these leeches all summer?

narciso

Now mifsud was tied to fmr?? Saudi spymaster turki bin faisal through fmr?? Aide obaid, this is similar to an Egyptian official marwan who guide sadat away from the soviet's.

Marlene:
You got that right!
Love Maine, Ogunquit York Beach ,Blue Hill ,Southwest Harbor, Booth Bay Harbor, Saco River ..

narciso

The elephant in the room was how Obama had alienated the Saudis with his behavior in Egypt toward mubarak, and Libya with qaddafi. The fmr surprised them, because according to Lacey, they had high hopes for him initially, remember they actually felt w had dismissed their concerns.

So there was a power vacuum which the Russians filled with first Al Sisi then hafter and maliki and finally king sultan

anonamom

That mistake re GHWB is funny!
"Up there"--Maine, heaven---maybe all the same to him???

Reminds me of an evening last summer, when we were at my aunt and uncle's cottage playing cards with my cousin and her husband. My formerly oh so vibrant uncle, who landed the second day at Normandy as a 17 year old---only because when he showed up at boot camp he was denied entrance to the first barrack he came to, as none of the guys in that one at Ft. Benning survived their Day One assault--and went on to be a 24/7/334 general practicioner (later known as family practice), delivering babies, taking out gallbladders, setting broken bones whenever his patients called, is now a feeble ninety year old, who nods off at times mid conversation.

He had been reading while we were playing, then got up to take leave for the night. As he walked towards his bedroom, my cousin called out:

"Goodnight Dad. See you in the morning."

He turned back to us and with a big grin replied:
"Sure hope so!"

hoyden - Larry Tribe has wet his pants and his hair is on fire.

Extraneus

Does Larry have anything personal to worry about, or is he just a concerned citizen?

Janeprobably about 10 minutes after getting ther

The last time I saw Andy on TV he was absolutely brutal and had come a long long way. He has also done a great job of outlining the illegalities in writing so he is all up on what's going on at the DOJ. And personally I don't think he'll take a dive for prior friends who are committing heinous acts, but what do I know?

narciso

He was Dan Richmond to Lawrence Walsh as tm noted in an earlier thread.

anonamom

Guiliani wants to make them stay in DC through the summer.
From what I've heard, that's punishment, even with AC.

Extraneus

I was suspicious of this NY Post piece.

Trump slams NY Times report about another Trump Jr. meeting

It ends with:

Mueller, a Republican, was appointed to head the FBI by President George W. Bush in 2001, and was named as special counsel in May 2017 by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, a Trump appointee.

As if Mueller is a Trump guy.

If this link shows up it will give you a better feeling about Andy. He was the first person to point out the direct link to the White House.

Extraneus

I'd say from Trump's tweet today, he's not afraid to go after Obama.

History will show John Brennan = Aaron Burr.

That's how big this is gonna be.

Mueller through his film wilmer Pickering is more a proxy for qatar, in his actions, its conplivated as I've explained before. Trump threatened many of the emirate domestic and foreign priorities.

Extraneus

By Trump telling DoJ to investigate "whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes - and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!," he's establishing Presidential authority over DoJ.

Next step is firing Mueller. After that, exposing Obama.

Extraneus

Adm. Rodgers was in that meeting that Rice "memorialized," wasn't he?

Glad to hear GHWB is still truckin'.

Mueller said he could wrap up probe by Sept. 1 if he can interview Trump by mid-July, Giuliani tells Fox News

Manuel Transmission

Anonamom,

A friend I passed that article onto re Michael Pollan, sent me back a 2hr interview of Pollan by Tim Ferriss. Not bad. Tim sniffed a lot and Pollan accents almost every work with aah, but it was still worth the time while doing other stuff. He has a new book that looks pretty interesting.

https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1594204225/offsitoftimfe-20

It might really get over the threshold of 'spooky/scary' that has held things off for 50 yrs. Pollan thinks there are enough boomers running things that they know the inside reality. He also mentions that the feds specifically directed them to the bigger problem of depression/drugs/suicide instead of cancer patient/fear of dying.

Jack is Back!

Porch,

He hasn't run out of stupid socks to wear.

So, Frederick's essay for Canterbury is that he had to pick two people, alive or dead, famous or not, he would like to spend a day with.

Picked Jesu and Aristotle. Good job on it under 500 words.

Porchlight

Copy/paste is your friend, narciso. :)

Don't do it Rudy! Do NOT let him talk with Mueller, ever.

MT, depression/anxiety/addiction HUGE problem.
"Diseases of modernity."
I've got my theories, primarily that it is a manifestation of lives very much out of synch with meaning and connection, but I have no problem with people taking a drug one or two times and not suffering any more.

And it appears they find meaning in the process, so there is that.

Captain Hate

Glad to hear GHWB is still truckin'.

Only because his deep state handiwork might be revealed while he can still fog a mirror.

Wonderful, job, when I signed up for my high school, I don't recall an essay, but it may have slipped my mind.

Beasts of England

There is a commenter I try to follow at CTH, much like I follow JackStraw at Ace of Spades - Sidney Powell. I learned tonight that she's a former federal prosecutor and was recently on Ingraham with Joe diGenova. Impressive.

Yes she's tustled with Mueller before, jack had an item on Fridays thread re comes ties to richman and those ties to a fusion connected atty.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Hello, all! Back from a nice family gathering with no incidents. Told my teacher sister a little bit about what was going on while no one was around and she is going to call me tomorrow to get the scoop.

Now I am off to Twitter for a bit to gauge the level of hysteria amongst the lefties.

Jack is Back!

Remember that "Progress in Bio-Physics and Mollecular Biology" article about Octupii being potential aliens? Well, Frederick has pointed out to me that Aristotle was on the case back in 340BC.

"Aristotle reports on the sea-life visible from observation on Lesbos and the catches of fishermen. He describes the catfish, electric ray, and frogfish in detail, as well as cephalopods such as the octopus and paper nautilus. His description of the hectocotyl arm, used in sexual reproduction, was widely disbelieved until the 19th century.[64] He gives accurate descriptions of the four-chambered fore-stomachs of ruminants,[65] and of the ovoviviparous embryological development of the hound shark.[66"

Beasts of England

Thanks, narciso!

Miss Marple the Deplorable

I follow Q posts which some people think is a hoax, some believe fervently. I am undecided but ZI like to know what people are seeing.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Jack,

I brought that up over at my sister's tonight and everyone thought I was nuts. "Where did you read that?"

BBC.

This is a perfect example of how people are resistant to new ideas. Now, there might be an explanation for the sudden development of cephalopods, but I haven't seen one yet, so all ideas should be considered.

Truly, there is nothing new under the sun, only the means to properly explain phenomenon.

Former Education Secretary Arne Duncan said Friday that it was “tragically necessary” for parents to pull their children out of school en masse until U.S. gun laws are changed.

Captain Hate

Am I the only one that wants Giuliani to STFU and GTFO. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly appreciated the job he did making NYC a civilized place for my Hatettes to live in and me to visit. But now everything he says is trolling me.
