See this great post about Harvard Business School, the MBA program, Bush's style, and poker.

The Kid writes: "See this great post about Harvard Business School, the MBA program, Bush's style, and poker."

That article conspicuously fails to address Bush's terrible business record, which one would think demonstrates his grasp of what he was supposed to learn at Harvard.

Turnipseed's furious backpedaling continues...

Personally, I am fascinated to see how the Dems plan to, on the one hand, attack Pres. Bush for "only" joining the Texas Air National Guard (a unit which sent men to Viet Nam), while, on the other hand, criticizing Pres. Bush for overworking our current National Guard.

I suspect they're actually planning to attack him for not showing up for duty...

Also, there's a big difference between joining the Guard when there's a draft on and joining it voluntarily. I think the Dems might just be rhetorically nimble enough to get out of this cunning trap...

You know, I'm sure all the National Guards serving in Iraq will be glad to hear that apparently it's perfectly okay to insist on being sent to Alabama to work for a political campaign for seven months, then just not bother to come back. Furthermore, in the eyes of a Republican loyalist, apparently that standard of service is the equal of three Purple Hearts.

All right, William, I am shot down. Your position, that the Dems are emphasizing the "AWOL" portion of the AWOL argument, seems plausible.

As for "Furthermore, in the eyes of a Republican loyalist, apparently that standard of service is the equal of three Purple Hearts.", from Jesurgilac, well, no, I am not sure anyone is saying that they are equal. The decisions these two made over thirty years ago are reflective of their characters; they are not the only aspect of it.
