Another colorful, just-kidding around clown makes his not-ready for Prime Time debut:
The Sandoval County, N.M., Republican Party's central committee, saying that county clerk Victoria Dunlap "has brought disgrace to the party," voted to censure her for issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples in February. "Other than assassination, all we can do is censure her," said committee chairman Richard Gibbs.
Contact info is here; obviously, death threats are not appropriate (we are playing by human rules here), but mere censure seems too weak.
And props to the lone dissenter at the twenty person meeting:
The lone Republican who voted against censure, Barry Bitzer, said he was concerned that people would view the vote as an attempt to exclude people from the Republican Party. "I'm afraid this will be played as a gay issue and not a good government issue," he told the committee.
Well, I suspect the "good government" aspect will be lost, yes.
And Victoria Dunlop, the target of the "assassination jest" (yes, I do assume he is kidding) is running for the Sandoval County Commission in New Mexico. Her contact info exists, I suspect, but I am not finding it quickly.
Good for you Tom.
