The Ap has polled the public on the Presidential personalities, and we are both pleased and perplexed.
Let's see - respondents are asked whether certain words describe the candidates.
Kerry has to like the "Likable", which is close at Bush 66 / Kerry 62.
Bush trails in "Intelligent", (Bush 63 / Kerry 83), but Kerry already knew that.
Bush has a big lead in "Decisive" (Bush 67 / Kerry 45), and Kerry is not sure what to do about that.
"Compassionate" is a virtual tie (59/60), but who cares?
"Honest" is also a tie (53/53), but neither campaign will admit to surprise or disappointment that they lack an advantage here.
"Arrogant" has Bush outscoring Kerry (Bush 52 / Kerry 44), and boy, is Kerry feeling smug about that.
Finally, and a bit of a surprise, Bush has a slim lead in "Wealthy" (Bush 90 / Kerry 85). Well, no man is poor who has friends (see "Likable, above). It appears that too many folks realize it is Theresa's money, and have discounted Kerry's future book deal.
What, Bush gets no book deal? Are you implying the President is illiterate? For shame!

Bush is illterate, ignorant and arrogant. He spends most of his time not in White House working but in his Crawford Ranch.

Bush, it appears, has been in over his head for quite sometime. The firest debate left me embarrased for Laura and our Country. I continue to be amazed at the number of people who support him. Why? Surely you see he's about as dumb as a box of rocks...
