Having basked in the glow of the "uncoordinated" support of MoveOn.org and other Democratic 527s for months, John Kerry has suddenly decided that these 527's ads are not appropriate.
Whatever. The Swiftees knocked Kerry's teeth out, and then kicked him in the stomach for mumbling. Some new Republican money machines are spinning ads. And now Mr. "Bring. It. On." doesn't want it brought anymore. Geez, even here they can spot a turkey.
In a related development, Kerry threw his support behind a proposal to limit games in which Pedro pitches against the Yankees to seven innings. Finishing is just too problematic for the boys from Beantown.
Where are the strong closers we've been hearing about? Giuliani's team, baby!
MORE: No, I am not interested in reconciling this with Bush's suggestion that all of these 527's were a problem; go ask the Bush people about their lawsuit. At least one side has been consistent.
