No mention of the Religious Right, or the NRA. What am I missing, and what is Karl Rove's strategy?

Are you serious? Perhaps, you're failing to recall the fact that damn few NY Slimes reporters are NRA members nor are they known to be tight with the "Religious Right"! Could explain the oversight? Seems some folks earlier this year were decrying attempts by the BC '04 Boyz to utilize church membership lists for political purposes, e.g. "get out the vote". Karl does not forget!

Well, I am semi-serious. I am quite certain that these groups are active. What I can't figure is why the Times did not mention them. Normally, scaring their readers with tales of the boogey-man is a winner.
