As an irregular service to any Space Cadets among our regular readership (or authorship?):
A team of European astronomers said yesterday that they had found one of the closest analogues yet to our solar system: three planets and an asteroid belt circling a pale Sun-like star about 42 light-years away in the constellation Puppis.
Frankie Thomas, who starred in the 1950's children's television show "Tom Corbett, Space Cadet," died here on Thursday. He was 85.
Wonder what them Puppis look like.

Heh!
Here's a Puppis on Pest Patrol

Only 42 light years away! Within the realm of real possibility.

Frankie Thomas was buried in his Space Cadet costume, according to his wishes. I'm not kidding. Read the NYT obit.

Hmmmm.
I want to be buried dressed like a Las Vegas showgirl.
That way if an archeologist digs me up in 1,000 years I'll be the talk of the academic circuit.
"It was a strange voodoo cult where members wore feather headdresses danced to Barry Manilow music...". lol.

I'm pretty sure one 21st Century craze will be to be buried in your car surrounded with your favorite material possessions.
