As I take my leave Tiger is 15 under on the 7th hole, leading by three over DiMarco and Els on the 9th. Floyd Landis enjoyed the boat ride and will win (wins) the Tour de France.
Give me a Yankees win over Toronto and we will complete our rout of the furriners.
ERRATA: NO, Floyd Landis is not on a boat, it's a bicycle race! "Boat ride" was an expression used by Damon Runyon to describe a less than fully contested horse race, which is certainly apt for the largley ceremonial last day of the Tour.
Finally, now your talking my game! Tiger is in trouble (on the clock - not quite fair since he has had so many camera problems) and is only 1 shot up. I am beginning to think that fair does not enter into it sometimes.
Of course, hope Landis wins and keeps France in titters...hehe

Tiger is fine. And I'm loving Dimarco as a close second!

Jane,
Absolutely right... Lets keep those Americans in front (hehe)... I would not mind at all if he won.
Right now, Tiger has it...ha.. I just love hist competive play under pressure! That said, I hope DiMarco places second (just for sentimental reasons)...

Dimarco' is in the clubhouse at 2 back. tiger is cruising down the 17th. Both Dimarco and Woods lost parents in the last couple of months. What a tribute to Chris' mom and Tiger's dad.

Yes, that's why I am conflicted. Either one winning was just fine with me... DeMarco put up a grand fight...just not quit enough against tiger... Anyway, grand tournment!

Since you are so interested in golf...are you a player? Sorry, you could have anticipated the question...

Mercy, that last response came out as de... don't know what happened..still deagle here...
Posted by: deagle | July 23, 2006 at 01:20 PM
Haha.. they are interviewing Tiger and hope to astertain why he won...(good luck). Good is good, okay, I can answer that, I played pretty good...hehe...
Oh well, can't expect everything fron the stupid announcers..
Well, Jane, what is your handicap? Okay, I'm getting a bit personel, but just curious since you seem to be a golfer...

Damn...don't understand why my name keeps getting so confused! Gone from Deagle to De to Deagled...what the heck is that? Hey Polipundit, why is that?
Posted by: deagle | July 23, 2006 at 01:35 PM
Yea, I guess realizing I'm responding to JustOneMinute would help...but no... The question remains...
Posted by: deagle | July 23, 2006 at 01:39 PM
Okay, Yikes, I've just realized that this is the 7th response from me consecutively...,I quit... Sorry folks...

Deagle,
I don't play much anymore because I was never very good. I always seemed to be more interested in socializing than concentrating. And if i'm not particularly good at something, I seem to lose interest eventually. As a kid I used to take a nap on the couch while watching Palmer and Nicklaus. And I've been following Tiger since his amateur days.I'm clearly a better watcher.
I take it you are a good player.
Posted by: Jane | July 23, 2006 at 02:16 PM
No, not really, just a gladfly...hehe... Do play a lot though and love the game. Sorry for all the silly posts.
Posted by: Deagle | July 23, 2006 at 03:04 PM
Well, shoot, have to add that I am also an OLD fan of Palmer and Nicklaus. Okay, we are both too old to be caring about such things....
Watching is so much more fun... 60 and counting...hehe...

Just to clarify a bit, am a reasonably good golfer...3 handicap. But of course, that depends upon to course so much that it does not mean all that much. Lets just say that I have played for 40+ years and if I haven't figured out how to play resonable by now, I never will...ha....
Posted by: deagle | July 23, 2006 at 04:01 PM
Deagle,
A 3 handicap is impressive. And I'm impressed!

I think it's time all right thinking people stood up and condemned Landis for oppressing all those bicyclists of color he outpedaled...

WHEN IT COMES TO CYCLING AND GOLF, I THINK I'D RATHER WATCH A BOAT RIDE.

Uh oh. Seems Mr. Landis may have has some help from his scientist friends. Sheesh.
