Joe Biden tells us that Bush is "brain-dead", but from whom is he borrowing that? Good news - he is stealing from himself, circa 2004.
Mr. Biden has been a Democratic Senator for a long time, so he ought to know brain-dead when he sees it.

Quoth Brain-Alive Biden in that article:
Biden's prose tends to knock *me* back on the balls of my heels.

But, it's the conservatives who are dividing the country.
Whatever.

Biden calling Bush "brain dead" is of course, being kind...If you plumbed around in that yawning cavity on top of Mr. Bush's shouldders you'd come up completely empty handed!

Biden is all heel and no balls.

Well said, boris.
No doubt some enterprising TV talk show will invite Slow Joe to elaborate (while secretly conspiring with Laura Bush to ambush him with an "impromptu" phone-in).

It's back to Typepad Basic?
Anyway, if there's a guy who doesn't want to call attention to his brain, it's Mr 'C' Student, Bottom Ten Percent of his Law School Class Biden.

Yeah! Thanks, Tom.

Slow Joe is always good for guffaw! No one on his side or ours takes him very seriously, but he is always good for laughs. Thank God, because there are so many truly nasty people sitting on his side of the aisle.

I remember when he was first elected to the senate at the minimum age of thirty, he was instantly identified as a possible future president. That assessment has since proved absolutely fatal to the public perception of the man, which long ago became that of a laughingstock. Instead of contenting himself to be an effective Delaware legislator, he has made himself a permanent presidential candidate, becoming a huge joke in the process. Remember Harold Stassen, who once he tasted the heady wine of a presidential race just could not stop himself? That's Biden. You just know that in his heart of hearts he thinks that, any moment now, the public will awaken to his irresitible charm and talent, and his campaign will catch fire.

OT, why shouldn't he think that. They were saying the same things about John Edwards right after he was elected Senator, and less than 6 years later, he was a VP nominee. What does he have, besides hair and teeth, that Biden doesn't?

Being from Delaware, I feel that I am qualified to comment on Joe Biden. He attended high school and college as a very mediocre student. He is truly the last person to comment on anyone else's intelligence. Also, he only got to be a senator by a strange quirk of fate with the aging incumbent he ran against and his very smart, tragically killed in an accident shortly thereafter wife. Since he is from Delaware, which always elects an incumbent ad nauseum, he became a fixture in the senate. He is a big zero. And the diatribes about Bush's intelligence grow tiresome.

Was he wearing his Princeton hat when he said this?

TS:
LOL Best comment so far today. Overall I like Biden but he'll never be president. George W. Bush was smart enough to beat Al Gore and get himself re-elected in 04. You have to be smart to accomplish that. and we all know he is smarter than Kerry and much less of a braggart. I don't know if he flip-flops or windsurfs though. I'm sure he can handle a gun better than Kerry or Biden.

I think they put those plugs in way too deep.

Yeah, but look how environmentally friendly he is: he even recycles his grade-school namecalling. You can't buy dedication like that.

Let us all remember that it was Joe Biden and not George Bush who had the brain surgery.
I wonder what else the Wizard of Oz did for him ?
