The Mighty Kos commissioned a poll to tell us that Ned Lamont defeats Joe Lieberman in Connecticut. Ooops! Too bad the election is over!
In related news, the assembled staff at Just One Minute has decided to release the results of various polls we commissioned in while under the influence of... well, under the influence of a voracious thirst for alternative history. Or something.
So to satisfy the insatiable thirst of others, I can now reveal that John Kerry defeats George Bush in a 2004 rematch. However, such a rematch is unlikely since Al Gore already defeated George Bush in 2000. (He gets knocked down...)
In other excellent news, Hubert Humphrey defeated Richard Nixon in 1968, but it is not all grim for Republicans - in 1948 Dewey managed to defeat Truman in a poll we would have commissioned back in 1951 (had we been alive), when Truman's approval rating was at 23%. Truman's backers can point to subsequent polls in which Truman managed to defeat Dewey again.
Meanwhile, one wonders - how much did the Kos Kids spend on this poll in Connecticut? And isn't there a starving Dem politician, or even a starving village in Africa, where the money could go to better use?
OT, but Chemerinsky's hotted up.

How about Ted Olsen for Dean of the Claremont Law School?

My sympathy for Chemerinsky languishes in deep slumber. Wake me up when we get anywhere near "just as bad as they are".

It needn't slumber; he'll be hired.

Mr. Lindsey, an Arkansan who splits his time between Little Rock and New York, passed Mr. Hsu's card to Mr. Rutherford. The Clinton School dean said he followed up with a letter asking for the donation.
Seems Skippy knows a few things about the Rich Pardon as well.

OT - Just caught up with reading re Seixon - Johnson intimidation threats of July 07. So, Seixon nicely baited Johnson into admitting his connection to a foreign power:
"I know where you are living. You forget that I do work for the European Union and friends in Interpol."
He make work for the EU, but the US still has the EC for traitors during time of war.

Re: Hsu and Chinese front companies: Interesting that the FBI estimates there are over 2,600 Chinese front companies in the U.S., according to this 10/18/06 article:

Have the Chinese communists bought the dems? Sounds like it. Lock, stock and barrel. It seems this guy has bought a lot of democrats and their machines. Maybe the dems can't deliver the orders from their masters about losing in Iraq.
Back when all this came out about Clinton selling the Chinese our technology I thought ot myself "He's sold us out" and he had. I fear the Clintons have never severed their relationship with the Chinese and are still selling out this country. And there is no telling what other countries the dems are bound to. I should think common sense would tell you not to allow foreign money to be donated to elected officials due to conflict of interest.

From yesterday's Arkansas Online
How can a DA who took Hsu's campaign money, investigate Hsu for illegal campaign contributions?

Former American fugitive Marc Rich was a middleman for several of Iraq's suspect oil deals in February 2001, just one month after his pardon from President Clinton, according to oil industry shipping records obtained by ABC News.
