Bored of the Rings -- The real classic for anyone who read Lord of the Rings and who grew up in the 1960s. Its humor will be lost on the next generation, not knowing the allusions like "Goodgulf" [a brand name for Gulf Oil in TV commercials of the time] = Gandalf.

Heh, sbw, I remember that one. Someone gave it to my parents as a gag when I was young and it got mixed up with the kids' books. I definitely didn't see the humor until I was older.
