Obama admits he is weak at math and not ready to serve or be served:
"I don't want to count my chickens before I'm hatched".
Eggsactly. And who is he calling chicken?
The actual story is that Obama is continuing to take McCain's "great progress" comment out of context. The new politics of hope and change looks a lot like the old politics of smear and distort.
Let me help John Sidney McCain, who actually said this (emp. added):
Certainly, in this time, we are in very challenging times. We all recognize that. Families are sitting around the kitchen table this evening and figuring out whether they're going to be able to keep their home or not. They're figuring out whether they're - why it is that suddenly and recently someone in their family or their neighbor has lost their job. There's no doubt that we are in enormous difficulties.
I think if you look at the overall record and millions of jobs have been created, et cetera, et cetera, you could make an argument that there's been great progress economically over that period of time. But that's no comfort. That's no comfort to families now that are facing these tremendous economic challenges.
Just modify that to read "you could make an argument that there's been great progress economically over that period of time in recovering from the tech bubble of the 90's and the terrible attacks of September eleventh" and you will have a sentiment that only Michelle Obama could disagree with.
Think of Obama's image in January. Then think of his image today. Get the picture?

"Let me help John Sidney McCain"
TM,
If you really wish to aid McCain, then I would suggest the establishment of JOM "Standard Measures of Economic Performance" for his use (after someone explains them to him).
Perhaps the BLS U.S. Economy at a Glance plus the BEA GDP - Chained Dollar plus Personal Income tables?
Nothing terribly complicated but the rsult is ten measures for which data has been collected and assembled over a relatively long time period using reasonably precise definitions and controls.
The real benefit is that use those measures will make Obama's (and other lefty's) lies even more glaringly obvious.

Thanks, Rick, I was just wondering how to find some of that kind of data.
