Wow: Full Sixth Circuit Reverses Panel, Siding With Original Judge That Ohio Secretary of State Must Do Her Job and Stop Election Fraud

Elliott

Thanks, Sara. I was just going to post that myself.

J Verner

Heck no Elliot--if it gets that bad, I vote we make THEM leave. Trouble is, what sane nation would take them?

jean

I think he will be able to leave all the heavy lifting to Congress. They will be more than happy to do.I think one the first orders of business will be a Hush Rush bill.Followed by the Union secret ballot bill.I can't imagine Obama saying no to either of these.Spending will increase to help all the"ordinary"people.Obama isn't going to have to push anything.

centralcal

Are there NO small businesses that are dimwitted Democrats? How can they vote for this creep and expect to hang on to their livelihood?

I hope the first to be disenfranchised are them, after Obama gets done "spreading the wealth" around.

bgates

Trouble is, what sane nation would take them?
How many sane nations are there? Obama is enormously popular in most of the world. I hope Obama loses here, and runs and wins everywhere else.

Jane

From my personal polling data for the last 2 weeks:

Out in the hinterlands the belief is that Obama is for lowering taxes and McCain is for raising them. Obama would have prevented the meltdown with regulation and McCain did everything he could to make it happen. These are the two memes affecting voters making up their minds today.

They think it is as clear as the nose on their faces.

Ann

Sara,

Thanks for posting on the Ohio SoS. I have been on the phone again today about our Sorry SoS here in Ohio who has violated both Federal and State laws. She has done irreparable harm to the integrity of this election process.

Anyways, you have to hear her spokesperson on a local Cleveland station. Keep in mind this is prior the last ruling against her. It tells you all you need to know about the carp going on in Ohio:

“SoS Brunner’s Office Hangs Up on Bob Frantz, AGAIN!”

kim jane il

Are there NO small businesses that are dimwitted Democrats?

No. Republicans bid up the dimwit market to the point that they own it lock stock and barrel.

clarice

Oh, God, Jane--start selling these folks things--get PUK to help!!

Ann

Jane, Congratulations on your radio debut. Are you sure we can't find a recording. I would love to hear you kick a liberal's butt and I know I am not the only one here. :)

Amused bystander

Jane, where are those "hinterlands", if I may ask?

(thanks in advance)

kim jane il

start selling these folks things

Unfortunately they ain't buyin' what Republicans are sellin'.

jim Rhoads aka vnjagvet

Fortunately for us, at least the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit is buying what they are selling. It may have some effect in Ohio because there will likely be fewer fraudulent votes. Probably good for the country too.

bad

Probably good for the country too.

That aspect will be a problem for those with an ill bent.

clarice

That case was necessary to prevent mayhem in the post-election period. I cannot imagine what the original panel was thinking. Have these people no scruples at all?

Jane

BTW - in New Hampshire Jean Shaheen (d) is running against John Sununu (r) (the son) for Senate. The ads reach us here and I've thought they are pretty good. Shaheen tried to levy an income tax in NH - and tried to raise other taxes many times. Sununu fought to regulate Fannie and Freddie. Now NH people hate taxes more than anything. Shaheen's campaign is based totally on tying Sununu with Bush, and I was told today (by the liberal radio guy - who was really quite decent - no ass kicking just good discussion) that she is up 13 points.

Jane

I think ACORN is gonna end up as an impeachment issue.

Jane

Thanks Ann, it really was very fun. Amused, I'm in MA

Ohio Plumber Blasts Obama-- Keep Your Socialism (Video)

Elliott

C-Span is showing CBC coverage of the Canadian elections. Conservatives will win the most seats. It's still an open question as to whether they will have a majority government.

JT007

Where was Moran as the Democrats were de-legitimizing Bush before he was even formally nominated at the RNC in the summer of 2000? I will not respect Obama nor will I refrain from doing everything I can to make sure he is as weak as possible. The difference between anything I or fellow conservatives will do and the crap that Democrats have pulled for eight years is that we will only deal with actual facts and the truth.

kim jane il

I think ACORN is gonna end up as an impeachment issue.

Jane predicts Obama win!!!

J Verner

Jane--FABULOUS! You may not be able to turn MA for McCain, but I bet you have assured him a higher tally in the popular vote.

Sara--great with the plumber. Gee, he doesn't have a Harvard MBA, but somehow, he is able to cut through the BS and get it.

Maybe there's hope after all.

kim jane il

we will only deal with actual facts and the truth.

I'm afraid integrity might be a real shock to the Republican system. For example, ever seen the Laugher curve? What a hoot.

Obviously self-delusion is the lifeblood of the Republican party, so I'd go slow for a couple years, maybe try telling the truth in the shower every now and then before trotting it out in front of the kids, then maybe on the neighbors.

kim jane il

I bet you have assured him a higher tally in the popular vote.

So, what, McCain gets bonus Chesterfield points if his loss in MA beats the spread?

bgates:

Had a chuckle when I got to this bit from Rich Lowry:

Chris says that his Obama endorsement has generated a "tsunami," that e-mail at NRO has been running "oh, 700-to-1" against him, and that there's a debate about whether to boil him in oil or shoot him.
I'm sure Buckley enjoys picturing himself at the eye of the storm, but if my own email was typical of the other 99, what he stimulated was not exactly debate:
I was already stifling a yawn by the time Christopher Buckley finally rolled the Obama drums: "As to the particulars, assuming anyone gives a fig, here goes" -- which is when I realized that no, I didn't really give a fig, which reminded me that I hadn't cleared out the fruit bin in the fridge for a week or so, which meant that I didn't have room for the oranges I intended to squeeze on Tuesday, which is why I had left them in a bag on a little used counter by a south facing window, which is where they had been baking in the sun ever since, and which is probably why that corner of the kitchen had the whiff of something foul in the air.  Now, where was I?
Welcome back Mr. Steyn!

clarice

Ann, that's a very important matter.
JMH, that's very funny..

Ann

LOL, JMH

I was just wandering where your "must read" commentary was hanging out. Glad to see ya at JOM.

Welcome back Mr. Steyn, indeed!!!

Topsecretk9

Anyone look into the Book agent that was so banana's over this nobody law student?

As I understand it she got him one big hefty advance and when he didn't produce (at all in a long time period) she convinced another publisher to advance this person with no track record other than not producing a book on time another advance?

Why was she so ga ga? Who is she exactly?

---Sorry if this has been asked and answered and I missed it

bgates

JMH - well, the NR gig didn't work out, but Chris will always have a home at the Lancet.

Ann

"Ann, that's a very important matter."

Clarice, Not according to the many Ohio government offices I have spoken with in three days. The AG in Ohio is in a temporary position and could careless and everyone is just sitting back waiting to be told what to do. So national coverage is the only thing keeping it alive.

Again, many thanks.

Trump

Nope.

He won't be my president under any circumstances.

He'll be Ayers president. He'll be ACORNs pres. He'll be the socialist pres.

And if a crisis erupts somewhere, I don't care if his play works or not because I'm not backing it.

Somewhere in the past 8 years, the left made a deliberate effort to not stand with us, choosing to put lust for power over country.

I'll treat Obama exactly the same way they treated Bush for 8 years.

Payback is a you know what

worseJane

Sara,

Bad link at 11:30.

SukieTawdry

I read only the first 13 pages of the decision, but in them the Sixth Circuit bitch slaps Brunner silly. Good stuff.

Sara (Pal2Pal)

Well, we could have predicted this. Someone probably did.

Obama Sees ACORN as 'Distraction'

Political GrapeVine Reports On Obama's Changing ACORN Story & Funneling Cash to Radical Hate Groups

kim jane il

I'll treat Obama exactly the same way they treated Bush for 8 years.

That's OK; we'll just console ourselves with your tax money.

JM Hanes

Apparently Rick Moran thinks we don't get enough self-righteous hectoring from the left. Such sanctimonious scolding is more annoying than persuasive, but his constitutional window dressing is just plain silly:

The constitution gives the minority certain protections against getting steamrolled by the majority. But it doesn’t give the minority the right to torpedo the legitimacy of the winner. This is more than a question of “fair play” or being a “sore loser.” The Constitution says we have only one president at a time. . Given the importance of that office, it is stark raving lunacy to seek to destroy the man occupying it.
One president at a time, children! Who knew? Accepting, purely for the sake of argument, that the Constitution "gives" us any rights in the first place, I would refer him to the greatest minority protection of all, which is probably which it's the very first amendment. Please, somebody get this man a copy of The Constitution for Dummies!

Frankly, I'm a whole lot more concerned about other high minded Conservatives of the David Brooks and George Will ilk torpedoing the Republican candidate before we even get to election day, than I am about whether Republicans understand the niceties of defeat.

Elliott

Stephen Harper speaking now in Calgary as the Tories fall approximately 10 seats short of an outright majority. On C-SPAN.

bad

You called it Elliot. I wonder if the AWOL military personnel living in Canada and engaging in anti-American activities are happy...

Elliott

I was only repeating what the Canadian television news was projecting. Turnout was very low, apparently the first time it's ever been under 60%.

kim jane il

torpedoing the Republican candidate before we even get to election day

McCain is to be commended for making that unnecessary, his selection of Palin did far more damage than anything the opposition could have dreamed up.

Louie723

Funny how kim jane il is the only one who thinks she/it is clever. Careful, do not get peanut butter & jelly on the new puter your dad bought you!

kim jane il

Careful, do not get peanut butter & jelly on the new puter your dad bought you!

You've done nothing to dispel that notion.

Louie723

Ok, you're right. Tell you what kim jane il, I'll drive you over to the mall. You can fart in the elevator and annoy people just like here. And how naughty & clever you'll feel!

Elliott

This is making the rounds: Obama’s random act of kindness.

Jane

So why, in times like this, would voter turnout be so low in Canada?

Pofarmer

Well, Elliot, that seals it for me then. The man is definately "The One". I mean, he surely doesn't need my vote to win, right?

william

Proof that fraudulent voter registration leads to voter fraud -

The vote of Darnell Nash, one of four people subpoenaed in a Cuyahoga County probe of ACORN's voter-registration activities, was canceled and his case was turned over to local prosecutors and law enforcement, Board of Elections officials said yesterday.

Nash had registered to vote repeatedly from an address that belonged to a legitimately registered voter, officials said during a hearing at which the subpoenaed voters were to testify.

Board officials had contacted Nash this summer, questioned his address and told him to stop repeat registering.

But still, he breezed into Ohio election offices - the state allows early voting for president - reregistered with a fake address and cast a paper ballot, officials said.

Extraneus

Just think about the fantasies these people have. (From Elliot's link.)

He had a gentle and kind voice that was still firm and decisive. The first thing I thought was, Who is this man?

Although this happened 20 years ago, Mary still remembers the authority that radiated from the man.

Sounds like something they might have said about Mussolini.

bad

That story has multiple issues.

rhodeymark

"That's OK; we'll just console ourselves with your tax money"

Wherein the little smartass proves that leftists deserve nada.

rhodeymark

Jane - FWIW I have converted more than a handful of Dems in SE MA into PUMAs. I send out bcc: emails to Democrats at least once a week. Finding out about Raila Odinga, and seeing Obama's IL district from flyover at Doug Ross' site has viscerally shocked many of them into "No Deal" status. When the computers identify Ayers as the author of "Dreams", the snotty bluebloods will get their own shock.

kim jane il

I send out bcc

MA Obama 56 McCain 39

Your spam seems to be pushing people to Obama. Keep up the good work!

Jane

Good job Rhodey!

I've been asking my friends in service jobs (manicurist, massage therapist) what they are hearing. Last week was the first time anyone said anything political, and it all went Obama's way. Altho the guy I was on the radio with yesterday is a Dukakis democrat, and I've heard thru the grapevine that he's not going to vote this year, because he refuses to vote for Obama.

Amused bystander

Rhodney: I have actually lived in a communist country.

What is so funny here is that this buffoon thinks that "he" will get some of "our money", that he is a part of the "we" -- the socialist cabal, the Leninist oligarchy.

All he will get is a few crumbs, provided he stays in line (in both senses if the phrase, btw).

His "leaders" are not just Marxists, they are Marxist-LENINISTS. Power drives them above all else, ideology is just a goad and a tool to that end, and they are thoroughgoing materialists, they have no morality at all, in fact they deem these sort of scruples to be the sign of the deepest weakness.

People like this go in the first waves of political consolidation - they are an embarrassment to even the socialists' leaders - indeed, to anyone with a brain in their head. Once they have served their function they are either cowed, jailed or killed.
There is never enough money to subsidizes them, and that was never the intention in the first place.

The people that actually know how to do something, like many of the people on this blog, can survive, if they keep their heads down and infiltrate. The Left needs people who can do something real. They have more contempt for the useful idiots than they do for their opponents who have, after all, actually built a civilization.

I can hear him now: "But...but...that is not what I meant, NOT AT ALL! This is not what we struggled for!", as they drag him away, as the knout comes down on him.

If he does survive, he does not get much of anything out of it.

In fact, even in the most slow moving of "revolutions", socialism just limits his opportunities. Less job opportunities, less avenues for promotion, less chances to own anything. Certainly he will get no power, none at all.

He will be stuck at what schmuck job he has as long as that is deemed useful and after that it will be off to a work detail.

I doubt if he has to date every held any real authority, has built a family or owns much property. I doubt he has ever had even productive employment of any sort.

This is his real problem: he is a loser.

Leninists hate such folk, and their reaction is not tempered by christian charity.

He imagines that totalitarian socialism will allow him to deny his own deficiencies by bringing down those around him that can accomplish something.

What he does not realize is that it will just magnify his deficiencies and lay his weakness bare to the wolves.

This joker obviously hates his father - has a very strong dose of this in fact - and that is why he seeks a father in the state. Boy, is he in for a surprise.

It would be comic if it where not so tragic for all the adults involved.

bad

We haven't heard from Maybee in a while. Hope she and her family are safe.

jean

What I find amazing is the practical response to an Obama presidency has not been taken into account.Folks I know are hunkering down.Work less if possible, put monies in "safe" spots.Their reaction may be bad for the USA economy but thats what is about to take place.

Jim Ryan

I calculate that O will send my $80K/year family about $4000 every April. I will go below zero income tax and into negative territory. Welfare. It's a dividend check derived from American businesses, and my right to these yearly dividends implies that I own a piece of all these businesses. Socialism via the IRS.

I will not keep the check. Anyone have any suggestions as to which is the best place I should I send the $4K? To Rick? Salvation Army? United Way? A local successful small businessman?

sbw

Hell, Jim, invest it in American businesses of course. I hear the stock market is a deal now.

bad

I calculate that O will send my $80K/year family about $4000 every April. I will go below zero income tax and into negative territory. Welfare.

He's going to get plenty of votes because of that welfare plan.

Jim Ryan

sbw, I don't deserve to keep the money. I won't have earned it. I want to hand it over to a businessman whose profits are confiscated by O. Or a charity, perhaps, but that would be spending the businessman's money as I prefer, not as he prefers.

Barney Frank

He's going to get plenty of votes because of that welfare plan.

Excuse me, bad? I believe you meant 'tax cuts' not 'welfare plan'.

You may be in need of a little reeducation by our deranged lefty overlords at this rate.

rhodeymark

Amused Bystander - when I saw the Bezmenov interview, I was shocked into action. The 4 stages spelled out:
1) Demoralization
2) Destabilization
3) Crisis
4) Normalization
Bezmenov laughed as he talked about #4. It was almost like the old joke "this word does not mean what you think it means." Bill Ayers is a Leninist radical who truly doesn't deserve the Constitutional protections he enjoys. His address in Caracas in '06 shows that he is more dangerous than ever.
kim ill - my emails are going viral, and two weeks is a long time compared to your defense of transparent lies.

jean

I wouldn't count on that "tax rebate "Obama has a lot of programs that will need the money more than you

sbw

Jim, it's your duty to shepherd that money through the coming dark ages so that when we emerge into the light the JimRyan/IRS Foundation can help rebuild society.

bad

I know some people who will be pretty upset if that check doesn't arrive. Bless their hearts...

fdcol63

With Obama's election, the Democrats will have control of all 3 branches of government, perhaps even a super-majority that will prevent any Republican filibusters and other attempts to check Democrat legislation and judicial/bureaucratic appointments.

If you ever wanted to live in a parliamentary system where the majority party IS the government, you'll get your chance.

But this won't be a typical government. This will be a government led by extreme Leftists unrestrained from using strong-arm tactics to stifle "dissent", aided and abetted by their fellow travelers and propagandists in the MSM, academia, and Hollyweird.

Pofarmer

I recall hearing a lot of Dim rhetoric about respecting the rights of the minority in the 01-06 timeframe. Do ya think I should expect the same sympathy from them?
