Barack Obama has an aunt (OK, a half-aunt) living in Boston and we need a British newspaper to tell us this? What else are we going to learn about Obama after we elect him? And will we learn it from our own ever-vigilant press, or must we rely on the kindness of foreigners?
Let's see - in Ohio the state routinely checks people in the news, or so we are told. OK, as if. But Obama's half-aunt has reportedly contributed to his campaign, prompting this tap-dance from the London Times:
While Mr Obama was on his voyage of personal discovery in Africa, his aunt and uncle were engaged in their own journey in his homeland.
The Times could not determine their immigration status and an official at Boston City Hall said that Ms Onyango was a resident of Flaherty Way but not registered to vote on the electoral roll. However, that Ms Onyango made a contribution to the Obama campaign would indicate that she is a US citizen. Records at the Boston City Hall confirmed Zeituni Onyango’s birthdate as May 29, 1952.
It is not clear when Ms Onyango first came to the US. She said: “I have been coming to America ever since 1975. I always come and go.”
The Obama campaign seems to have taken the position that donations are legal unless someone can prove they are not. I don't suppose we can rely on Deval Patrick to clear up Ms Onyango's immigration status, but if George and Condi get involved I can imagine the howls.
That said, I can't find a donor with a last name of "Onyango" from Masachusetts at Open Secrets or the FEC. Brit magic?
Whatever - maybe she is here illegally, maybe she is contributing illegally; this will be looked into after Nov 4. It's not as if this is important, like Joe the Plumber. What, you think Obama's stance on illegal immigration would be affected by his relatives' situation? That's the old style politics of division - there is no evidence that Obama has any interest in this woman at all, other than as a useful prop in his own global biography.
Oh God, I am so sick of this guy, and to think that we might have to endure 4 years or more of him at the top. Ugh. Thanks a lot American MSM.

TM:
Here some things you will learn about Obama in the post-November future:
He was bit by a radioactive spider in high school, causing him to bitterly cling to the walls of buildings;
For a period in the eighties, he roamed the American West in a mask, with his trusty native-american companion, Tonto;
In his spare time, Obama puts on a deerstalker, calls his dear friend, Dr. Biden, and solves crimes through great feats of ratiociznation;
Obama also works for the British government. Code name -- 007.
That bit about the fake birth certificate was true. Obama can't be president because he was born on the planet Krypton and sent here on a rocket ship when the planet exploded as a result of global warming... If I remember correctly, he even admitted this in a recent speech

AP (Washington, DC)
The campaign of Barack Obama today released part of their fiscal plan for balancing the United States budget. This plan, dubbed " Nigerian E Mail America! Yes You Can!", will be administered by the United States Department of the Treasury.
The plan calls for a minimum of 10,000 new, highly paid internet development and call center jobs, and will be directed at "China, Europe, and other places that have lots of money and stupid people", said an unidentified spokesman.
Mass e mails will be sent out advising recipients that Secretary Ofanjuo Olesegun Obasanjo of the Department of Mines and Graft deposited $1,000,000,000( One Billion Dollars!) in a secret bank account known only by the sender, who will then request certain bank processing charges be forwarded before the recipient can claim the full amount of funds at the National Bank of the USA in gold ducats.
It is expected this program will balance the $3 Trillion budget defecit within 3 years, said the unidentified source. within 5 years, Social Security and medicare will also be fully funded, allowing for increased spending on unicorns and rainbows...."
end....

Sources: Sarkozy views Obama stance on Iran as 'utterly immature'
French President Nicolas Sarkozy is very critical of U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama's positions on Iran, according to reports that have reached Israel's government.
Sarkozy has made his criticisms only in closed forums in France. But according to a senior Israeli government source, the reports reaching Israel indicate that Sarkozy views the Democratic candidate's stance on Iran as "utterly immature" and comprised of "formulations empty of all content."

Sarkozy views the Democratic candidate's stance on Iran as "utterly immature" and comprised of "formulations empty of all content."
Sarkozy was being charitable by just retricting those characterizations to his stance on Iran.
I've got an idea: Since the nation is so divided why don't we just have a co-presidency? McCain can do the stuff that isn't fun, like deal with the Middle East, formulate tax policy, deal with security issues and nominate people to the courts. Obammy can do the lightweight stuff that he seems to be so good at such as appearing on the intellectual shows where his stammering syntax is often confused with real thought; shows like "Ellen", "Countdown with Queef Uberdouche" and "Blueballs with Tweety".
I know that flies in the face of the Constitution but who pays attention to the moldy document put together by dead racists and christianists that never watched MTV.

Sad news(NOT):
"Call it the Five Percent Plan.
The Observer has learned that all Condé Nast publishers and editors have been told they have to cut their staffs by 5 percent and their budgets by 5 percent within weeks, according to five Condé Nast sources.
It will affect every title, including the company's most successful: The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Wired, Glamour and down the line.
The plan is not just a 5 percent overall spending reduction but rather two distinct 5 percent cuts for each title, guaranteeing that titles cannot meet the goal without cutting staff.
First, each book will have to cut 5 percent of its payroll. They can do this through laying off staff or eliminating open and unfilled positions or a combination of the two.
Second, each book will have to cut 5 percent from its non-payroll budget lines: travel and expenses, meals, freelancers, etc."

I'm still wondering about the story of Obama's mom being 14 when she had BHO. Because that would be the best reason about the missing birth certificate. I looked up the info and with the dates given, it seemed pretty much impossible. But I'm still trying to figure out if there was some way the dates could have been fudged a few years and which one - Dunham's birthdate, BHO's birthdate, the marriage date. None of them really, but I'm still wondering.

Just as a related anecdote, one of my friends in college told me a story where her parents took her and her siblings aside when they were in highschool, and announced that their mom was one year older than their dad. And they had spent their whole lives thinking their mom was one year younger than their dad. Their parents never told the kids the truth because they were embarrassed to have the wife older than the husband. So these lies take on a life of their own.

Sylvia, Word. No one ever said Obama's mom was 14 when she gave birth. The law at the time (since repealed and the repeal apparently made retroactive per Volokh) was that if she gave birth to a child by a non-US citizen outside the U.S. and was less than 19 (this is a shortcut way of explanation), her child would not be a "natural born" citizen.
Do not try to engage me on this point. I won't respond.

“I therefore urge you to refrain from calling the 2008 presidential election until all polls across the country are closed. Such a fair and judicious approach will allow the elections to play out as they may, without any unintended influence by the media, and is in the best interests of the country.”
"Rep. Dingell sent the letters to Phil Griffin, president of MSNBC; Jeff Zucker, president-CEO of NBC Universal; Leslie Moonves, president-CEO of CBS; Anne Sweeney, co-chair, Disney Media Networks and president, Disney-ABC Television Group; Peter F. Francis Dougherty of the AmCons now with Culture 11; slings the same sexist gibes at Sarah; that weren't funny when Kathleen Parker made them last week. We exempt Greg Gutfeld from the same opprobium because he is on our side; although last weekend's contribution was a bit over the line. As for the Latin Shepherd Smith; Rick Sanchez; he's become impossible to parody after failing as MSNBC and ending up at CNN; flacking for Obama on the Khalidi tape.

Iowahawk has a fab parody of Chris Buckley and his fellow shark jumpers.

OBAMA - MILLIONS IN FOREIGN DONATIONS. Exemption from McCain Feingold is a wondrous thing.

This AM I was watching Morning Joe for a moment.The Editor from Time magazine was on.There was a screen shot of next weeks Time cover.McCain and Obama between them is a silver bar or something.At first glance I thought what is one of the twin towers doing on their cover?I wonder if it will look like this in the store?If so seems an unintentional plug for McCain

"I always come and go."
Perhaps the INS might wish to visit dear Auntie Onyango after the election and inform her that breaking the election laws means it's time to go again. And not come back.
If Auntie OnYango were living in Ohio and a McCain supporter we'd know just how much social services money she had drained from the state despite her illegal? immigrant status.
What a naughty auntie - a scofflaw and quite probably an undocumented alien.
Perhaps that's just proof of her blood tie to H.Obama?

I'd say I heart Iowahawk but then--you know--Jane that S&^* will jump in and say SHE hearts him, too!
