Will You Love Me Tomorrow
Smoke Gets in Your Eyes
Ahab the Arab
I Love How You Love Me
Breaking Up is Hard to Do
You Don't Know Me

Pal2Pal (Sara)

He's So Fine
I Will Follow You
Easier Said than Done
Devil in Disguise

Gosh, I always felt a little sorry for Bloody Mary Tudor. Deserted by her Dad, forced to live in cold, damp castles with her exiled mother.

Yeah, she had "issues," but who wouldn't have in her same circumstances?

Changing subjects abruptly, I want to make sure to wish PeterUK, our PUK, the merriest of Christmases. You told me once you had no relatives. I have recalled that from time to time when I wished Bloody Mary-like vengence on a few of mine own.

Tomorrow, family will arrive who knows when and I may be online early (as I usually am) and I don't want to miss wishing any of our later evening commenters the very best Christmas in what has been a rather extraordinary year. Rather like a Disneyland thrill ride, huh?

To PUK: may all your Christmas wishes come true. You have so many adopted relatives here and are so lucky we are across the sea and unable to invade you looking for a free meal and a cup of tea! ::grin::

Oh, and I am posting this on every thread just in case PUK has moved on.

"He's a real nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

Doesn't have a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,
Isn't he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere Man, please listen,
You don't know what you're missin',
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command.

(lead guitar)

He's as blind as he can be,
Just sees what he wants to see,
Nowhere Man can you see me at all?

Nowhere Man, don't worry,
Take your time, don't hurry,
Leave it all 'till somebody else
lends you a hand.

Doesn't have a point of view,
Knows not where he's going to,
Isn't he a bit like you and me?

Nowhere man please listen,
you don't know what your missin'
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command

He's a real Nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody.

Sweet,cc..But who knows..we may all turn up at his door, tired and hungry and looking for a way to get out of the country for a couple of years..

Compared to Elizabeth, Mary was a fool. Elizabeth avoided intriguees, behaved prudently and was able to take advantage of opportunity when it arose. Mary behaved like, well, a dumb cow.

CC caught you this one. Many thanks a wonderful Christmas to you and yours.

We wish you were here really to share it with us, PUK. You really are our favourite.

Captain Hate

No relatives, PUK? Well that can be kind of a blessing at times..... But absolutely Merry Christmas to you.

This will be the first year at least one of the Hatettes won't hoof it home for Christmas and, even though we'll miss 'em, we won't miss the disruption to our lives that's involved. And since they're both in NYC they'll get together so that will suffice.

Thank you all,may your Christmas be all that you would wish yourselves.A Christmas which especially enrages the liberal left and the AGW loons.A Christmas of jollity and conspicuous consumption leavened by generosity, old time values and family fun.
Go for it.

Oh, thank YOU, PeterUK. Your best wishes mean a lot to me. All of you here at JOM, mean a lot to me. Who knew Scooter Libby would be the reason I have met so many wonderful people on the internet? People, who really do feel like old, valued friends.

If ever I am in need of advice, consolation, inspiration, a reason to drink (or toast) - I know exactly where to come!

And, of course, the sports - mud wrestling, pistola marksmanship, etc. ect.

oops - giving away the cocktails already - ect=etc. (A nod to our Goddess of typing, the fair Clarice.)

Merry, Merry at you PUK.

Thank you for the last few days of education. I'm eternally grateful. (even though I played on the computer for my anniversary!)

glenda waggoner

OK-now you're my favourite, peterUK.
Christmas Eve Eve Gift!
If you ever want to come to Texas...

Oh, goody - Nowhere Man!

Finally, some music I can sing the lyrics to by heart (in a husky, raspy voice - lost musical talent back in the 80's.

I kinda liked ect.

Nothing wrong with ect.

GOT (Goddess of Typos)

And have a nice Boxing Day, too, PUK.

Hey, thanks, C.R. But, I have learned from Jane, NEVER complete with our fair Clarice. She will overcome, every time. You GO, girl!

Besides, I need a Muse. And, I have appointed C as mine.

Centralcal - very true. I wouldn't dare try to complete with Clarice:)

Since this has been a music thread and a Christmas cheer thread a special treat via Belmont from Vanderleun. In the Bleak midwinter LUN

Pal2Pal (Sara)

I would feel sorry for Mary, Queen of Scots, before I'd feel sorry for Bloody Mary.

Laura, how beautiful! Makes me feel like I was at Mass.

..."water like a stone ..."

Music, poetry, prose, lyrics - the really great ones are so descriptive.

Since I don't have opposable thumbs, I'm in charge of typing with my elbows.

Merry, Merry.

Merry Christmas to all you JOMsters from me, too! I wish I could post a recording of our chorus' rendition of In the Bleak Midwinter for y'all. We sang it better than those folks in Vanderleun's link (all the more powerful since Saturday's concert was the very first time that we made it through the whole song without messing any of it up!) We always make our director cry during our closing piece, which is always Silent Night (She claims that she has an allergy to the song. Uh-huh.) Last year her "allergy" had spread to the whole second half. But Saturday marked a milestone -- we had her crying during Mid-Winter, and it was only the third song on the program...

I'd love to hear a clip, and be grateful that one with Leo Kottke's gift for voice, like me, is not in your chorus.

Have a joyous Christmas!

Pal2Pal (Sara)

Since this thread is coming to an end, let it go out with a classic.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvxUSc_OGVI"> Smoke Rings.

Appalled--Thank you for a lovely gift of the song Smoke Rings.
As I may have mentioned before--there was a small Big Band that performed where I worked years ago. The band leader was the last of the breed and I was fortunate to be able to visit with him and listen to his wonderful stories.
Thanks again and Merry Christmas:-)

I once knew an old brass instrument repairman who'd played in the studio orchestra for an Iowa radio station back in the day and he talked of the gang from the band having coffee with the young sportscaster named Dutch.

I do not know how to use the Hellgate gold ; my friend tells me how to use.
