All I said was that the chance of a coup has risen above nil. Look, this crew in charge now really doesn't care about the Constitution. They are trampling all over it already. We may well get to such a pass that the only entity that can recover Constitutional government is 'them wid de gats'.

I appreciate both Soylent's and DoT's doubts that such a thing may come to pass, and their very valid reasons for thinking so.

One thing DoT misses is that the officer in question, as a member of the military on active duty, has standing that has apparently been denied to retired members of the military.

I appreciate both Soylent's and DoT's doubts that such a thing may come to pass, and their very valid reasons for thinking so. However, if such a thing did come to pass, it wouldn't be the first time in history that a professional and uncorrupted military class restored democracy and Constitutional government. Nor would it be the last.

The fact that some people question Mr. Obama's eligibility does not make him an enemy.

Yeah, well, we'll see about that in time.

Good to see that dissent is no longer patriotic for like the 433rd time.

The standing issue is key to our current political situation. Note that in numerous cases prior to this, the courts have been quite clear that citizens do in fact have standing to enforce Constitutional provisions. Thus the whole power to enforce Constitutional rights against the government.

Now, suddenly, in two key cases the courts rule that citizens cannot sue to enforce the Constitution OR specific statutes unless Congress has granted them standing. Remember the hundreds of thousands of known false registrations submitted by ACORN in Ohio. Despite the clear provisions of Federal law that the Ohio Attorney General had to report them to the Counties so that they could be flagged to require provisional ballots that would require confirmation to be counted, she insisted on treating them like valid registrations so that they could be voted fraudulently without the knowledge of the county clerks. The courts ruled that neither the parties nor private citizens had standing to sue to enforce compliance with the law and the Constitution unless Congress so granted.

In the matter of the birth certificate case, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been spent by B. Hussein Obama to avoid revealing Box 7C of the vault copy of his BC. That box is labeled "City and County OR Foreign Country of birth". Hawaii allows registration of foreign births of residents' children. So far, the courts have ruled in the concluded fraction of the 17 Federal cases filed; that neither citizens, nor political parties, nor opposing candidates have legal standing to sue to enforce compliance with the requirements set forth in the Constitution. One could make a non-trivial case that the Judiciary is stating that the Constitution does not apply to protect the citizens of this country, but rather is there to justify anything the government wants to do.

All we have left is the Oath. May it be enough.

Hear, hear, Subotai. Too many people believe it is impossible for Obama to have been born out of Hawaii. Well it's not impossible. When it is elegantly simple for him to prove that he was born in Hawaii, and he doesn't do it, one wonders why everyone doesn't wonder.

As I said, this issue won't go away until he gets rid of it in an elegantly simple way. Until then he has a Damocletian Sword hanging over his head. The thread suspending it frays as discontent rises, and it will.

Someday, and the sooner the better, he's going to have to prove his legitimacy.

Show me the Box 7c. And the nationality shown on Occidental and Columbia records.
