kim-

They ain't from Kentucky. That biscuit recipe predates the territory by quite a spell.

Country ham, biscuit, and freshly churned, then salted butter.

Nothing better, except the next one.

Someone patented a machine to do the kneading for those biscuits in the 1880's. It clamped onto a beam, not a table, so a bit more support than usual was needed. I'm gong to look for one at some point, when I get through my little research project. And after the construction one too.

I've got some stuff to go through on Watt, and then some questions for you, after I consolidate my thoughts and put ink to paper. More later.

verner

Clarice, you're too sweet

Ex, you're a god per your posts, especially that last one.

Mel, we'll have to arrange a JOM country ham cook-off, KY vs. Va. With beaten biscuits and red eye gravy natch.

I'M A JUDGE! I'M A JUDGE! I'M A JUDGE!

I called it. I'm in. Suckers.

Beaten Biscuit Recipe (LUN)

Best served using children. (You'll see why, LUN)

Patsy is singing "sweet dreams" on the CD player, and it's time for me to call it a night.

Sweet Dreams to all of you JOMers, and never forget, Tomorrow is another day!

Pofarmer

All right, ya'll are making me hungry.

mel, I wish we could visit.

Ooooh, that's right, hit's not doing anything right now, and can get a head start on the hunnerd or so biscuits that we'll need. Shouldn't take more than two or three days tops.

clarice-
No red eye, coffee stays in the pot and mug. You can do what you want with yours. I'm going to bring Dunn Bros. Columbian when I show up for show, and extra heart meds. Gotta wash them down AND jump start the heart at the same time.

verner, how many days do you soak? My minimum is three.

Time for the rack, this has been fun.

Night all.

clarice

I expect beating those danged biscuits kept waists slender and arms toned. 100 whacks for each batch..lordy!

bad

No wonder Mel said to do it with young'uns....

clarice

I think it's a bad idea to beat youngun's to make biscuits..even very good biscuits.

Niters.

Sweet dreams...mel and Clarice.

daddy

Bad,

That link of Obama jumping on Imus for insensitive comments was wonderful. Hypocrisy, thy name is Barrack.

Many thanks.

Put them in a bag and drive your SUV over them, the biscuits, not the kids.

PUK-

I think you're conflating recipes, fully laden semis (lorries) are for brussels sprouts, topped with muriatic acid. You won't get air into a batter with a Ute, unless using the tires for ulterior purposes.

Family from Rye (near Dover) is here this week, btw.

Charlie (Colorado)

Charlie(Co), the Japanese side of you might want to start packing its bags.

Bite your tongue. I go to "church" with people who were in the camps.

I do make the world's best red eye gravy.

(Grits. If I'm gonna do carbs anyway, we've gotta have grits.)

You know, they threw German sympathizers in those camps, too. And they didn't get the reparations.

I am amazed at all the FDR love that goes on without any recognition of this at all.
We are constantly supposed to keep slavery and Jim Crow in mind, and feel guilty for it. Yet Obama, who wants us to talk about race, hero worships FDR without acknowledging the horribly racist actions he took.
Not that Germans and Japanese Americans want to be the eternal victims.

Come to think of it, its the non-victim status I want recognized.
