Why is Elizabeth Gates, daughter of distinguished Harvard professor and beer connoisseur Henry Louis Gates, promoting hateful, negative depictions of the black community, specifically black men?
This is from her account of the Suds Summit:
Negative, negative, negative... and wrong! (as of 2005, and know I am on a limb here...) Somebody ought to channel their inner gangsta-rappa wanna-be and slap this chick upside the head with a nine. Or much better would be to exhort her to put her education to use and find the facts before parroting racist, stereotyped nonsense that would be better placed at a hate site. Ignorantly advancing unfavorable black stereotypes to promote her own agenda... shocking. It's fortunate she is not a white Republican.
HMM, SHE IS FAR FROM ALONE: On an age-adjusted basis there is no contest - among college-age black males there are many, many more in college than in prison. What keeps the numbers close are the oldsters in prison (and the non-counting of older college grads). So why was Obama stupidly running down his black heritage when he said this:
"We have more work to do when more young black men languish in prison than
attend colleges and universities across America."
--Barack Obama, NAACP forum, July 12, 2007.
My goodness, it's as if there was a professional grievance community that needs to undermine the notion of black progress. Naaah...
I see a teachable moment here.
PILING ON: Back in 2002 the numbers also favored the college guys, slightly.
It's a toss up which daughter is dumber--this one or mcCain's..And then there's Ronald Reagan's Renegade Daughter Patti Davis.
I suppose it's hard to be the child of a public figure but someone has to tell them--it's not about you, cupcake.

There's a birthday celebration picture of Obama up on Drudge. The iconography surrounding this guy is just creepy, wish I knew how to post it.

The problem is not so much that, but that they are just average kids who by virtue of their parents get their own soap box. From which they reveal their mediocrity to all the world.

Rewritten...
The problem is not so much that, but that he is just an average guy who by virtue of his color gets his own soap box. From which he reveals his mediocrity to all the world.
And that in a nutshell is the problem with both affirmative action and legacy pundocracy...
Race and genes guarantee nothing. To keep it "neutral" I remind all of exhibit "A" the Kennedys... but for their genes, who in that lot would be listened to for anything???

From which he reveals his mediocrity to all the world.
But when will the world recognize it?! They haven't even caught on to Ted Kennedy for god's sake.

They have, Mass hasn't... besides, does he ever even have a serious rival for his seat? The republicans don't field serious candidates against bulwarts like Teddy, but they should. For face recognition in future races if nothing else...

Well if intelligence genes skip a generation does that mean that Obama's daughters are actually going to wind up being smart?
