Some Needs-A-Life Facebook loser put up a poll puzzling over whether Obama should be killed and the left falls into a tizzy.
As performance art this poll is a miserable failure. The NY Times led the way in assessing this sort of thing a few years back, when the British film which hinged o the assassination of George Bush was the rage at the Toronto Film Festival. From the Times, with my emphasis:
Oh, geez - the director ducked the tough questions about the possible desirability of whacking Bush and depicted the one pro-assassination character as irrational - how can a Times critic hope to endure?
Well - evidently the tough questions have easy answers now that the President is not Bush. Of course, some of us thought even back in 2006 that this question was pretty easy - killing Presidents is wrong, so don't do it! But we lack the nuance, insight, and global vision of a Times writer or any other typical lefty.
I want him to live to be 150 (thanks to medical breakthroughs commercialized after President Palin and the Tea Party Congress cut the tax and regulatory burden on the economy down to late 18th century levels), fully aware of how many people were harmed by his fecklessness, and of his place in history as the worst head of state on the North American continent since Montezuma.
I also want Michelle to divorce him to shack up with a 25 year old white girl with great abs. Is that wrong?

When asked her impression of the film, didn't Madame Speaker giggle, then say "it was interesting"?

R.S.McCain aka The Other McCain drove (from DC?) to Manchester KY today to cover the death of the "census worker" on location while the MSM waits for AP feeds.
another victory coming for the new media?
I think he is also posting at The American Thinker .....

"I also want Michelle to divorce him to shack up with a 25 year old white girl with great abs. Is that wrong?"
Yes. It should read a Republican 25 year old white girl with great abs.

I'm confused on who's doing the shacking, Barry or Michelle. Need to get the correct mental picture.

Depends. Will there be pictures?

Good God, bgates. Either Barry or Michelle shacking up with 25yo WGw/GA is enough to make you want to burn every bed in the world. Establish either picture generally, and the human race will be gone in a generation.
As for him living to 150: meaning he collects his pension, expenses, and constantly agitates for more floors to be added to his Presidential Library for all these years? At our expense? I'd rather read this seven million times instead.
No, let's take up a collection to send Michelle a gun and bullets. DC law or no, the law don't apply to The Once. Let her do the dirty work before she goes off and tries to make the 25 etc.

A clarification: my scenario has Michelle dumping Barry and running off with a white girl. I think Barry is racist, sexist, and homophobic, yet he seems devoted to Michelle. On the other hand, she'd be portrayed by Kenan Thompson in a weekly SNL skit about bull dykes if it weren't for her party affiliation.
Charlie, I think there have been enough pics of Michelle on this blog for anybody, but I bet Iowahawk could be talked into a Steel Cage Death Match, Adult Art division if you could get him another $33.

Heck, why doesn't Michelle just shack up with the half brother in Kenya, since the Shack's already built.

Michele in a mullet. What's next? Marshall Tucker Band on her iPod?
I heard a rumor Iowahawk's all over it.

the ONLY thing necessary to say to these leftist goons on ANYTHING they throw at us is to call them SUCKERS.
NO explanation necessary.
Seriously, we do not have to explain AT ALL why we call them SUCKERS. They'll either figure it out or they won't. Let them stew in it.
all together now:
lefty: Tea Baggers are whackos.
response: SUCKERS
Moonbat: This photoshop of Obama is racist.
response: SUCKERS
Progressive: the American people WANT the public option!
Response: SUCKERS

Yesterday it was Howard Fineman finally dropping the rose colored glasses.
Today we get a similar "broken clock is right twice a day stunner" from WaPo's Richard Cohen; "Time to Act Like a President." I'm expect TM will blog it later today so I won't link, but this line from Cohen about Ahmadinijad and the Mullah's tickled me:
"These Persians lie like a rug."
Geez, where's the love Mr Cohen? Can't we all just get along? Is that your Dick Cheney imitation, or did reality just bite you in the ass?
Posted by: daddy | September 29, 2009 at 05:23 AM
Daddy, I just read Richard Cohen's column in the print edition of the Investor's Business Daily; it is the token lefty column.
Cohen bitch slaps Zero pretty good. Real blue on blue action as they say here at JOM. I would find it satisfying, except we will be stuck with this loser for another forty months, and our country will continue to suffer.
As for the assassination humor, be careful what you post folks. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole lede is planted by one of Axelrod's turfers. I certainly don't think assassination of elected leaders is a topic for rational conversation, or humor. Not to be too stuffy about it. We're going to hear about Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm, for the rest of our lives anyway. Don't need to hear the word marytr attached to it.

I certainly don't think assassination of elected leaders is a topic for rational conversation, or humor.
I suspect within the month it will also be grounds to jail you - provided it is a democrat president.
Speech really really really really should be free.

In addition to the Richard Cohen smackdown mentioned above by Peter, WaPo prints today an uncharitable portrayal of Once's new Sudan Czar and his policy there. You have to dig to find it on the online WaPo, but it is page one in the dead tree version.

NSC and The Once are meeting on Afghanistan today.
Their solution? Obama is going to Copenhagen to lobby for the 2016 Olympics to be held in Kabul.

Online poll? I'll see that and raise you an award-winning faux documentary! Too easy.
Looks like time for a new internet law:
Corollaries:- for every actual excess by a conservative, there will be at least two moby copycats;
- despite proven disinformation, Speaker Pelosi and the NY Times will continue to blame conservatives;
- the probability of a lefty hyperventilating about the former is directly proportional to the track record of ignoring the latter.

During a trip to Okinawa, Japan, for the G8 Summit in 2000, Parker Aab, who was then 26, claims Bill Clinton summoned her to his hotel room, escorted her onto the balcony and gave her a hug that she says lingered just a little too long to be paternal. As the only girl in a boys’ club, the young aide writes that she was terrified of where the hug might lead, but managed to maintain her composure as Clinton said he’d always admired her.
Bubba wasn’t the only reportedly touchy-feely guy Parker Aab encountered in the White House. She insists that Clinton pal and adviser Vernon Jordan kissed her not once but twice while he was married.

As for the assassination humor, be careful what you post folks.
Indeed. It's just too easy to have it twisted into something far from its actual intent.
Over on the Olympic thread, I thought about suggesting "Shot putz" as one of the sports, but even with emphasis on "putz" it would have looked like a wish for assassination, which I don't wish.

They are suckers in so many ways for so many reasons. We know, but they don't and I'm not going to give them the satisfaction of telling them what the reasons are*.
And I agree with Lloyd Marcus (Am thinker) that we have to stop letting them set the rules of the debate.
*Okay, I'll mention just one for now: One of us says something they don't like. They respond with outrage which actually shines a light on their own hypocrisy. Our usual response is to point that out which only makes them divert somewhere else and it all goes muddy. It accomplishes nothing. We suckered them into revealing their hypocrisy so we should let it go at that by shouting SUCKER! Next!
