Just catching up on the thread - so sorry about the loss, Pofarmer.

Did anyone see that Kathleen Parker is being suggested as the "conservative" to parry with Spitzer on a new CNN show? Good grief - that should get rid of their remaining viewers, for sure.

Boy Po, that sucks. I'm really sorry.

I looked over that DoJ memo--linked by Volokh--but did not look at the earlier, Clinton-era memo that it replaced (and which had reached the opposite conclusion). I think the existence of the memo will be a great embarrassment for the administration, and I can't imagine why it hasn't been withdrawn, but I don't think a court will find it dispositive.

Danube of Thought

Here's a link to the Volokh article (by Jonathan Adler) which in turn links to the two Justice memos.

Forgot he link. It's here.

The flock's best friend.

The stock'll miss that dog, too, PoF.

it's always awful to lose a critter friend. i like to think that if there's a heaven, our furry companions will be there waiting...it wouldn't be heaven otherwise.

My condolescences, Po

hit and run

I had given up on this thread. But I can't not come back and offer my condolences also,Po.

Pofarmer

Thanks guys.

 Ann

Po:

I am so sorry to hear your news. I like to think they are in heaven waiting on us too.

I had my daughter get on the computer and look for a new dog when we lost our dear, family friend the last time. It really helped. Just an idea.

Anyways, we will all be thinking of you this Father's Day.

Janet

So sorry too Pofarmer. What a privilege to have a great dog in our lives...even for awhile. They're a gift, and each one so unique.

If Holder hasn't read the Arizona law, why should we think he would read the 2002 memo?
