Some gems in that, Rick:

That the people justly view with alarm the reckless extravagance which pervades every department of the Federal Government; that a return to rigid economy and accountability is indispensable to arrest the systematic plunder of the public treasury by favored partisans; while the recent startling developments of frauds and corruptions at the federal metropolis, show that an entire change of Administration is imperatively demanded.

I can't imagine the modern Republican party putting out something as combative. Too many members of the Combine in the party.

Katherine

I have predicted 2 years ago that a David Duke would win presidential 2012 elections if he runs on low tax/spending cuts platform, any former nutty/reprehensible baggage notwithstanding.

I am not sure if the country, in this particular Delaware, had enough of the Obamanomics to elect O'Donnell but I think we are close. Better an honest, constitutional minded witch than a Marxist, bearded or not.

And who did not play with mysticism in high school or college anyway? If she did drugs (as the current occupant of the Oval Office) instead of hanging with some Wiccans, would that be a-OK?

JM Hanes

"Better an honest, constitutional minded witch than a Marxist, bearded or not."

Ditto that, Katherine.

That was a great link, Rick, thanks for posting it.

A short, simple, common sense, platform for justice.

6. That the people view with just alarm the reckless extravagance that pervades every department of the Federal Government; that a return to rigid economy and accountability is indispensable to arrest the systematic plunder of the public treasury by favored partisans; while the recent startling developments of frauds and corruptions at the Federal metropolis show that an entire change of administration is imperatively demanded.

Hey Rob, I posted that same portion you did before I read your post. It can't be repeated often enough. :)

Rob Crawford

No prob -- it does bear repeating.

"Too many members of the Combine in the party."

Rob,

Here's a site with the Senate Classes. Murkowski, Voinovich, LeMieux (who is actually Martinez-Crist)and Bennet (UT) pretty much clear the 'Combine' slate. (Bunning, Bond and Gregg really don't fit a Combine model). The new Class III (1st Tea Party Class?) won't be 100% Squish Free but it's going to be a hell of a lot more firm than it was. Class I squishes better be taking good notes and renting backbones or planning retirements because the Tea Party has just begun.

Here's a way to balance the budget.

Let the Democrats have complete power to set the level of taxation.

Let the Republicans have complete power to set the amount of spending.

That way you only have to go to one party to complain and they can't blame the oher guy.

----------------------------------------

Or I still loike my idea, if Boehner and Obama make a deal.

Boehner will let let the taxes rise of the so-called rich, and Obama will stop all spending on the rich.

Christine O'Donnell won.

And, from the looks of things, while mccain never defended Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin learned a lot. And, those lessons are now coming home.

Simple: DO NOT GO ON TV

So, Christine O'Donnell isn't.

Bill Maher has film clips? If you've seen one, you see that she really, really looked good at 19!

And, yes. She's gone national.

What we are watching is what did in Newsweak. You don't have to believe it. But Karl Rove knows what it means to have $1-million-dollars arriving at your campaign. And, not one penny of it is saud's money.

Do you know the list of names Christine O'Donnell has just gathered? All of them are voting Americans.

evil mongerer

I absolutely hope she wins, but I hope people are starting to see why she has a problem. The media wants it to be because "her views are too extreme" but if she comes up short it will be more to do with her "life story." Still better to lose with her than win with half a Specter. GOPers like Castle only allow the media to lie that Obamunism is "bipartisan."

Where do we find these whack jobs? And why do we elect them to office?

Chubby

((Where do we find these whack jobs? And why do we elect them to office?))

There are many reasons why whack jobs get elected to office. One of the major reasons is that we have a partisan mainstream media which acts as a bloc to support the Democratic Party. The bloc media manipulates a gullible public under the guise of "journalism" by sweeping all dirt on its favored candidates under the carpet while blowing into gigantic proportion every tiny morsel of indiscretion it can find on candidates it disfavors.

Fortunately there is a powerful alternative to the old bloc media. The alternative is widely accessibile and keeps voters well informed on all that the bloc media sweeps under the carpet. The alternative media provides a very great public service because a well informed electorate is essential to preserve liberty.

I'm not involved in the election - we just got ours out of the way for a few years over here in Britain - but Ms. O'Donnell's anti - masturbation stance worries me. Does she not realise what a force for good auto eroticism could be if religions would just lighten up.

Hmmmm.

Senator Al Franken.

Senator Joe Biden.
