On a related note, if you don't like the "N-word" (even in the context of a rap song), you'll have about a hundred reasons to not like "Head of the State" featuring "Baracka-Flacka-Flames" [YouTube link].  However, the Michelle look-alike is either a cool video-shop trick or a person who could casue problems for the Secret Service (or at least make a career in comedy or passing bad checks.)

Oh, well - Obama also claimed to have considered enlisting in the military and I am sure that is utter BS.  Oh, well - if his current story can save a kids life, more power to him.}

MY BAD:  It was not Obama that claimed to have considered suicide as a young adult, it was White House blogger Brian Bond.  Proving that confusion loves company, I see that Emi Kolawole of the WaPo made the same mistake.

This article at Big Journalism (about the media embracing the Paul protester) made me wonder about what happened to that couple down in New Orleans that was attacked? The boyfriend even had his leg broken in the attack.

"We didn't investigate, and therefore we can unequivocally state that we've uncovered no evidence" is usually more like it when the ol' "there's no evidence" weasel line is used. But the article seems to show an honest public servant, who in fact is asking people to come forward if they have any evidence, and who claims that no one has even filed a formal complaint.

I am so glad I don't have cable TV...to have to listen to the MFM mock the Restoring Honor rally will just be too much for me. I feel such a sadness for our country.
The media lifts Jon Stewart up on a pedestal as he mocks faith, hope, & charity. How is that comedy? What kind of person would even think that it was a good, clever idea? I don't get it at all.

OT - On the Virginia ballot there are 2 proposed amendments to the Constitution of Virginia.
One is to grant property tax relief to Srs. & disabled....and the other is to grant property tax exemption for certain veterans.

You know...if property taxes are so high that certain groups need special relief & exemptions..then maybe the property taxes are just too high. I'm leery of certain classes/groups of people getting special exemptions. We never seem to be in any "special" group. And I've seen too many fraud cases with the "disabled" label.

Jim, I just looked at your link to Politico with Jesse, er, Rev. Jackson's remarks about NPR's firing of Juan Williams. Jesse was careful to say that Juan was martyred not lynched. The nuance is killing me.
