What the Democrats don’t like isn’t dictatorship, it is democracy.

Yep. For the last couple of years, I have often had this thought:

Today's Democrats: Opposed to Democracy

Heritage has the best analysis of the Wisconsin union showdown, and the high-stakes game Barry and his goons are playing with forced union servitude of the American taxpayer I've yet to read. Rest of story in LUN..

Nice link OT. Assuming common sense wins out in these union battles I hope that some governors and state legislatures have the nads to reform how public schools are financed. Using property taxes as the primary funding is an 18th century concept that needs to be thrown in the historical dustbin. Maybe a user's fee, at least in part, would cause disinterested parents to be more attentive to what's going on with their flesh and blood.

--Gwen Moore argued that abortion was better for unplanned babies than a life “eating Ramen noodles” or “mayonnaise sandwiches.”--

I used to love mayonnaise sandwiches when I was a kid. Lucky my folks weren't as enlightened as Mzzz Moore or they might have performed one of those Doc Gosnell post partum abortions on me and then blamed me for running with scissors when the coroner noticed the pair in the back of my neck.

preferably a user's fee in full...as a childless person, i am gaining absolutely NOTHING by paying for the useless excuse for education provided by public schools. the schools turn out ill-tempered, undomesticated, ignorant thugs, and their parents free-ride on my back. pay for your own damned kids...they're going to be taking care of YOU in your dotage, not ME.
