Well you have the Sacramento Bee (the paper that inspired McClatchy Watch) or the Mercury
News, out there, CC,

glenda, I largely agree with your analysis of Perry, I just don't see Palin running if Perry does. So I gotta take what I can get.

You betcha, narciso. McClatchy owns the Fresno Bee, along with others you mentioned (all up and down the Valley). I cancelled quite some time ago. They call me at least twice a week (thank you caller I.D.), but I don't answer.

I include their filing for bankruptcy in my nightly prayers.

Well you have the Sacramento Bee

Yeah. I get your reference, but I've been trying to get MrsJ to cancel it for years. Dan Walters (a columnist) is worth reading. The rest? May as well watch MSNBC or CNN. The editorial page is left of Stalin, Trotsky or Mao.

Geez I don't know, a team like Dallas with a bunch of no bodies except Nowitski should be out of this, right? So, what hell is going on here? I mean aren't the Heat anointed like Barry?

yes, porch..and I seem to remember the last President from Texas is Kick-A compared to any democrat..

They think they are and we have two stadiums, blocks apart to prove it.

Melinda Romanoff

A better strategy would be for a longer non-campaign by The Palin Drone, thereby allowing Gov. Perry friendly press access to influence the nominating parties.

Would they work a one-two on the press?

Naaah, no GOPers are dat smert.

I love ballet. And this one is set to Swan Lake.

A decent review, which seems unrelated to most of the Post's other operation, but like
Taranto has often pointed out, the Times editorialists often don't read their own paper.

Sue, keep it up. It's working. I'm thinking good thoughts. Well, not exactly.

I have a voodoo doll of Dwyane Wade. Sticking pins in it. ::grin::

Captain Hate

It looked like the Mavs were starting like a house afire until Wade got hurt and the Heat started getting their usual unexpected output from turds like Chalmers. I was hoping this would be a Mavs blowout but I don't think it's in the cards. The good news: Lebron can't hit a damn thing outside and Wade can't be 100%.

LeBron is no Jordan. Dirk is amazing.

I googled the Dallas Mavericks this afternoon and the 1st story was about Lebron James.

What about those comments there?

Palin/Perry is the way it should be

sorry, but that is not going to happen, if Perry is in he is going for the win, and he is the best positioned republican to do so versus the economic disaster of Obama.

Perry as an executive can say he has created more jobs than the combined total of the other 49 states, that's the end of the story. Americans are scared, there is no other issue.

Chris Cilliza who asked for the palin email hunters is getting pounded even after he's backed off.

They haven't read the article, either, JiB,

It's raining 3's in Dallas.

The Leaf commercial was directed by Al Gore, no?

I googled the Dallas Mavericks this afternoon and the 1st story was about Lebron James.

Sort of reminds one of Repubs vs. Dems in a national election. One party owns the media, but the game still has to be played.

Cilliza & Co do not "get it". they are like dog doo on a sneaker--you can't get the smell out :) I shouldn't smile over their cluster fail, but I do.

PJ Tatler reports Perry still says he's not running.

Sara (Pal2Pal)

Which, I guess, is what we will have to do as no one yet has emerged as a strong contender. What a shame.

My goodness, the election is 17 months away, the Conventions more than a year away and you think it is a shame we have no strong contender as yet, when candidates are still in the process of organizing and announcing?

This isn't a 2 hour movie, this is real life.

Rick Ballard

I believe that Perry promised to focus on state business until the legislature adjourned for the year. The regular session is over but there's a special session that has to wrap up some rather contentious business regarding the budget.

True, 17 months through time dilation, seems like 5 years, that's what the last campaign
felt like.

Danube of Thought

My heart is with Sue right now. Haven't loved Dallas so much since Roger was at QB.

Captain Hate

Great night for the Mavs as the threes started raining. Barea had his Finals coming out party. The Jet took off. Kidd regained his stroke. And of course DIE WAHRHEIT.

Just a great great performance in front of the home crowd for the last time this year. The first 2 game losing streak in the playoffs for Miami. Now win it on Sunday!!

Congrats to Sue; this was truly a great day.

Yes it was. I must admit, I had a moment there when I thought we had lost our stroke. What a game for little JJ. I need to look up the scores, but I think he outscored King James.

Le Non James.

Le Gone James.

Good work, Sue.

Mark Jackson cannot leave ESPN too soon. But, how ESPN loves to promote LeBron even when he's not playing well. It's Wade's team and he was pissed.

Dirk is a force of nature. Now the question is "Can LeBron bring his game?" Not a question ever asked about Russell, Wilt, MJ or Kobe. LeBron must have known something about himself and that he really needs someone else. He's Lewis without Martin.

Go Mavs. Sue rocks.

Captain Hate

Yes it was. I must admit, I had a moment there when I thought we had lost our stroke.

That happens every game. The Mavs never make it easy for their fans; this stretch of playoff come-from-behinds is one of the best I can ever remember in the Finals.

One thing that has made me very pleased throughout the playoffs is that a lot of casual fans are getting an enhanced appreciation for Dirk. He was the biggest victim of the 2006 heist because a lot of people started regarding him as a choker and playing too soft. NOT ANY MORE. He has been revealed as a cold blooded assassin in the clutch, a true team leader and HOF lock.

Just win one more.

Captain Hate

But, how ESPN loves to promote LeBron even when he's not playing well.

Some Fox sports radio guys were joking about this the other day, calling them the all Lebron network. Pretty funny.

Google Dallas Mavericks now. ::grin:: Lebron is not the 1st story. Go Dirk!!

Mark Jackson calling these corrupt and incompent officials "the best in the world," while they miss travel calls, flagrant fouls and other easy calls. Kiss.

ESPN is the same with football.

Give me TNT.

103.3 in Dallas is the ESPN radio. Ben and Skin are the morning crew. Skin said this morning that his paycheck has the ESPN logo, the Disney logo (ESPN is owned by Disney) and a picture of Lebron James on it.

LOL. Get more LeBron and Wade dolls ready for Sunday. Miami does not play well under pressure. This could go our way on Sunday.

Hope you don't mind if I borrow Dallas for these next few games. "Our" way.

I love everyone finally rooting for Dallas. They have been the underdog for so many years that feeling the love is kind of nice. Even if the love is because of the hate for King James.

Just saw a tweet that said Dallas will get 2 parades if they win. One in Dallas and one in Cleveland. ::grin::

I just saw Jeff "Skin" Wade asking Jet a question on the NBA channel.

Danube of Thought

"He's Lewis without Martin."

What the hell--we can still look forward to some great telethons.

Five 4th quarters thus far. Eleven 4th-quarter points for The King. Two point two points per 4th quarter. From The King.

Congrats Sue and the Mav's. Caught the finish on radio with Doctor Jack. He calls a great game.

As for Newt;

I think I owe the Former Speaker an apology. I have been very critical of his decisions of late, so I need to apologize for that. It is now obvious that he picked a very intelligent, very perceptive, and very principled team for his Presidential Election Campaign.

I can make one prediction that's not so bold and that is Sarah Palin will not be a vice presidential candidate in 2012.

Palin Ethics Complaint Update:

ADN reports Activist's lawsuit against Palin moved to federal court.

I remember the case. The Activist is a nutjob Lefty that was angry at sightseeing tour-bus's doing drives past his house in Juneau to see the Governor's Mansion when Sarah lived there.

I have no idea why this Lawsuit got booted up to Federal Court, but if our JOM Legal Team has an answer I'd be interested.

FWIW, this Sarah Ethics story has 298 comments. Just did a rundown on the number of comments on about 20 stories on the ADN's front webpage. If the topic is "Palin" the comments total about 250 to 300.

If the topic is anything other than Sarah Palin, the comment count is almost always less than a 10th of that.

That leads me to believe that there are Ellie Light's paid to stand by and negatively comment on any Sarah Palin stories in the ADN, because I just don't see that interest in Palin expressed on local Talk Radio or among the locals walking around town. But if the comment count is legitimately that high on Palin stories, it ought to be that high on many other non-Sarah stories of significance to the local community. Something just doesn't add up.

Last i read he and Callista were off yachting somewhere

Captain Hate

Caught the finish on radio with Doctor Jack. He calls a great game.

I've listened to ESPN radio with the tv sound muted the entire playoffs just so I don't have to endure the 3 stooges on ABC. Dr Jack and Hubie Brown give you much more analysis from a coaching standpoint and I've always enjoyed Tirico's play-by-play (they all went crazy when the Jet hit the dagger 3).

Hey they clearly opened the floodgates, because I was finally able to post a reply
on the ADN.Politico, home of brain slugs everywhere, made up a quote, yet again,

Narciso, Everything the anti Palin bunch does seems to be made up.

Anyone know why that suit Daddy mentioned was moved to Federal court?
For that matter, Anyone know why 24,000 Palin emails are released and yet we can't even find out Obama's grades?

Apparently no one asked for them, what's a little more surprising is how the National Review is DOA, they wouldn't back a Goldwater
today, 'too controversial,' no standing in the way of the left.

For that matter, Anyone know why 24,000 Palin emails are released and yet we can't even find out Obama's grades?

I'd settle for his e-mails while in public office (state senator, U.S. senator). FOIA? Or is this some uniquely Alaskan law?

If nothing else they'll find spelling mistakes or grammatical errors and call her stupid.

"they'll find spelling mistakes or grammatical errors and call her stupid."

It would be a kit easier to find the exception to the rule.

Palin is rebounding! Although her accuracy is strained.

Via Tigerhawk

Sarah Palin yesterday insisted her claim at the Old North Church last week that Paul Revere “warned the British” during his famed 1775 ride — remarks that Democrats and the media roundly ridiculed — is actually historically accurate. And local historians are backing her up.

Palin prompted howls of partisan derision when she said on Boston’s Freedom Trail that Revere “warned the British that they weren’t going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells and making sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free.”

Palin insisted yesterday on Fox News Sunday she was right: “Part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there. That, hey, you’re not going to succeed. You’re not going to take American arms.”

In fact, Revere’s own account of the ride in a 1798 letter seems to back up Palin’s claim. Revere describes how after his capture by British officers, he warned them “there would be five hundred Americans there in a short time for I had alarmed the Country all the way up.”

See LUN for an article on Iran's Atoms For the Twelfth Imam Program.

"they'll find spelling mistakes or grammatical errors and call her stupid."

They'll call them "Internet Indescretions", the euphemism that the MSM has already decided upon to describe what Weiner did.

Therefore, in terms of controlling the narrative thru selective use of language, Sarah's spelling errors will equate to Weiner's photoshopping of his Penis to the girls of America.

Well, Sara, I do agree this is real life, but the problem I have with the people commenting on this site is that they simply rush to whomever appears at the right time--i.e. Rick Perry. Do any of you think things through before you grasp at a nominee? AND, I am NOT a troll--I am a conservative and have followed all the comments at JOM for a long time. I am just SO distressed that a viable candidate has not appeared, at least one who articulates what I want to hear.
