Barry and Sibelius's own actuaries and planners in HHS and elsewhere told them, before it was inserted in Barrycare, it wouldn't work and they rammed it through like the good little commissars they are; gotta make that five year plan look productive.

Doesn't that part of the law contain taxes as well as other means of funding the program even though they are inadequate? If so just killing the program but keeping the fees and taxes that they can gives Obama & Co more $ to play with. If they repeal it then those taxes/fees go away

So I've kind of lost the thread here -- maybe somebody can explain it? If I understand it correctly, the plan was that people would be "allowed" to pay premiums starting in 2012, but wouldn't be allowed to collect on any claims until 2016. And that someone who signed up in 2016 and started paying in 2016 received exactly the same coverages as someone who signed up and started paying in 2012. In other words, anyone who signed up in 2012 would pay 4 years worth of premiums and would receive absolutely nothing of value in return.

And the CBO "scored" that there were enough clueless chumps in America that the government was going to collect $86 billion from people who were going to hand over the money voluntarily and receive nothing of value in return? How is this anything other than a bald-faced lie?
