Ugh, Lord Rove on the Huff Po, no link, says

Good news! US girls are scorching Denmark, 7 to 3 in the World Ice Curling Competition, and our Arch Rivals, (Canada) are taking a thrashing, 8 - 3, from the Scottish gals.

I don't know whether to be proud or extremely embarrassed that I remember that, narc. Wasn't that some African plant extract that enabled hunters to stay in a coma-like condition of stasis?

Well, he denies it, and given his track record of honesty in these matters, who can fail to believe him?

"Bush's deficits were as big as Obama's."

Well, given that Obama's after three years top Bush's for eight, indeed it was.

Re Clarice's 10:11 post - I don't think I've read anything as stirring and profound as 'Monckton’s Schenectady showdown' in a long, long time. Thanks so much for sharing that piece. Wow.

daddy

"Daddy-- In your Far East travels, have you heard any PRC 'coup' rumors? "

Nothing over here looks the slightest bit like a coup, though I doubt I'd know about it if it was going down. The first 10 Channels (CCTV-1, CCTV-2,) etc, all seem to be running standard programming---Business Reporters, Chinese Soap Opera's, Ice Curling, American Idol Chinese version, Commie Revolution wartime Drama's, etc.

The Streets and traffic outside look normal. The Hotel restaurant and Lobby are packed as usual, and later I will ask my Scottish Pub Owner later if he's heard anything.

My neighbor back home is an Oil worker from Guangzhou, and I just delivered something I'd brought over to her parents in the lobby downstairs. They didn't speak a word of English, but we had a nice pantomime conversation and they were wonderfully cheerful, and very excited about coming to visit this summer. So far as I can tell it's the same old Enlightened Autocracy as normal.

narciso

Don't attorneys of clients like Merah, have the sense to buy a clue, at this moment, from that long Telegraph piece, Christian Etelin;

His death is the logical outcome of the strategy adopted, he was increasingly shut up in his autism, in his removal from reality, nothing was done to help him and reestablish a link, dialogue.

I would have liked for everything to have been done to understand how he could have undertaken such a process of dehumanisation... this is a missed opportunity for understanding of human beings.

He said the police strategy during a 32-hour siege of Merah's flat "could only push him straight towards being hardline and wanting to die with weapons in his hands".

daddy

Wonder if you could turn in John Edward's name as a client of the Prostitution ring to Larry Flynt of Hustler, since Flynt said he'd pay big money for such stuff, and then sue the pants of the old creep when he refused to pay up?

Danube of Thought

"Another coincidence, I am sure."

Of course it's not a coincidence. It is just another manifestation of one of the vastest and most malignant conspiracies in world history. It shares an all-important characteristic with the right-wing conspiracy to assassinate JFK:

It is so tightly controlled that, despite the large number of people necessary to carry it out, internal discipline is such that not a single individual has stepped forward to expose it from within. Not one of the many conspirators has retained a lawyer and an agent, obtained immunity from prosecution, and sold his story for eight figures (a mark of true zealotry!). Not one has told his story to the National Enquirer; not one has spoken to 60 Minutes.

This tight discipline, in fact, is the most compelling proof of the conspiracy. The very reason we have no evidence of it is actually proof that it exists, and that its tentacles reach into every corner of the body politic. Limbaugh dares not expose it. Hannity and Coulter are too terrified to touch it.

You want to talk about Doom, people? What chance do we have against such a wide-ranging and malevolent plot?

Clarice

Exactly, DoT. Glad you can see the light at last. (Smooches)

Sara

Even Newt called Santorum out for that dumb statement.

TK--I thought your birther comment a hilarious exemplar of the fine art of self-deprecating humor.
However, I also thought for a long time that Obama's comment about the price of arugula was also self-deprecating, quite funny, and that perhaps I had underestimated the man. Alas. No joke.
You got it, though. Deadpan in print ain't easy. Keep up the good work.

Back from midtown and the show. Got to meet Mr. Porchlight and he was a sweetie. Cute as a button and talented as well. You're a lucky gal.

Late to JimmyK's party, but I can't top Harry Reid's "Paying Income Tax in America is Voluntary."

Can't link to him saying so on YouTube since YouTube is disallowed over here in the Enlightened Autocracy, which now reminds me that I just stumbled into a second lefty truism for JimmyK's list:---"China is an Enlightened Autocracy."

BR

TK, have you read Dianna Cotter's March 10th, 2012 article? She puts the Arpaio investigation findings and Justiagate in an interesting juxtaposition, showing the Obama pre-2008 election strategy was to push the Hawaii birth while hiding Happersett.

Even though relatively few voters know about this, the fact that both have been exposed is enough of a tear in the fabric to unravel his 2012 campaign.

rse

clarice-Thanks for the monckton link.

He is right. Reason is what is under assault. We are dealing with the aspirations of tyrants and with monckton we have a worthy warrior.

That appears to have done the trick for whatever reason; maybe it triggered a really bad acid flashback. Throwing in a few ethnic slurs, the currency of the left, provided final confirmation it wasn't the sock; if narc was black would we have had N-bombs for TM to contemplate scrubbing?

Speaking of sanding the mangina, Reince Priebus came up with a nice blast on El JEFe that the local news just mentioned after his appearance in Columbus. Lord Rove must be aghast.

Lots of letters to the dead tree WSJ regarding the lax treatment of the DOJ prosecutors in the Stevens case. This is ready made campaign material for the Repub challengers if they decide to end the etch-a-sketch nonsense and concentrate on things people care about.

daddy

Captain,

I'll be quite angry if we sit by and allow Begich, Feinstein, Lisa M, Patrick Leahy and the 2 Hawaiian Dem Senators to come out and get the credit for dealing with this Ted Steven's Travesty of Justice.

In other news related to the Oil/Gas discussions, here's another point the Right ought to be pounding furiously:

Congressman Markey aims to prevent Alaska LNG export:

"According to numerous sources Thursday, U.S. Congressman Edward Markey, D-Mass. -- long known as an opponent of Alaska oil and gas development -- told petroleum majors ConocoPhillips, BP, and Exxon Mobil Corp. that bills he is currently pursuing would prevent them from building a $40 billion LNG project to sell Alaska's natural gas to Asia."

Even Begich has had enough of Markey:

“Yet again, Rep. Markey is trying to shut down any Alaska development. I find it laughable that after 30 years of blocking the development of Alaska’s oil and gas resource for American manufacturers, farmers and families he is now demanding we supply them. I eagerly await his sponsorship of bills to support development of ANWR and the Arctic OCS to address his newfound concern for American consumers.”

narciso

Well Lisa's turned out 'worse than useless' if I ticked off that tweed wearing weasel, the better, the fellow I mentioned is a veteran uncorruptible officer, who didn't fail to call out those he felt had truly
transgressed the law, but he had stepped on some pointy toes, so he had to go, plus the
department is being served up to the DOJ on a silver platter,

Porchlight

Stephanie, that is sweet. I echo holly - how many times have I been busted because of these dang green borders? Mr. Porch once joked that "JustOneMinute" should really be re-titled "JustTenHours."

"No regulation without representation."

Possibly the first thing that got me thinking about the structure and growing scope of the Federal Government was when I first read the Constitution as an adult, which was sometime in the 5th or 6th year of my father's never-ending lawsuit(s) with the EPA.

I could not figure out how congress had authority to delegate so much of their power to third parties without retaining even a veneer of understanding their continued responsibility or accountability for the results.

More Polar Bear Settled Science.

In a number of recent Polar bear stories like this one, Enviro reporters have been blaming melting Arctic Sea Ice for causing Polar Bears to have to come into Northern Native Villages to scavenge. It is all played up into the "AGW/Save The Polar Bears" mantra.

So I was surprised today today to find this breaking story: Roaming polar bears vandalize camps on St. Lawrence Island.

Scientists and locals are scratching their heads because their is tons and tons of ice surrounding the Island, yet the bears are coming on shore trashing the place.

"No one knows exactly what's drawing the bears to St. Lawrence. It could be harder ice around the island -- it's been a long, cold winter in the Bering Sea..."

Yep, tons of ice and a long cold winter, exactly the conditions that Polar Bears are supposed to love, and which will keep them away from coming on land.

"It could also be that some of the bears are moving to the ice after abandoning their dens, or they smelled something that lured them into camp, or that they are simply passing through."

Yeah. They smelled something. Perhaps they smelled the Settled Science of Polar Bear Research.

Janet

A new Jack Cashill article on Ayers & Dreams. Very good.

daddy

"Mr. Porch once joked that "JustOneMinute" should really be re-titled "JustTenHours." LOL. Ain't it the truth:)

Narciso,

Look at that Begich statement again attacking Markey:

“Yet again, Rep. Markey is trying to shut down any Alaska development. I find it laughable that after 30 years of blocking the development of Alaska’s oil and gas resource for American manufacturers, farmers and families he is now demanding we supply them. I eagerly await his sponsorship of bills to support development of ANWR and the Arctic OCS to address his newfound concern for American consumers.”

That's as fine a bit of snarky, in your face, dumping on Markey as I've ever heard from anybody. Why the heck is it Begich doing the dumping and not somebody on our side? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

That comment needs wide Press, but I sure wish we could attribute it to one of our Presidential Candidates instead of to Mark Begich.

Jane

"JustTenHours."

That's hysterical. And true.

I left work early yesterday afternoon because I wasn't feeling well and missed the late afternoon and evening comments here.

Catching up, I really enjoyed Clarice's link re: Lord Monckton. He gave an interview yesterday with our local talk radio, which I also missed and had planned on listening to the podcast of it sometime today. However, this morning I learn that it was the Dennis Miller interview of him that is causing a bit of a stir. Lord M also thinks the birth certificate is a forgery. Well, there ya go!

NK

Daddy-- don't worry about Markey-- some final posturing for the Enviros who'll he hopes pay him millions of Lobbying fees when he leave the permanent House minority. That LNG pipeline is fantastic for Alaskans and good for America. American/Canadian energy superpower would balance our trade current account and provide real jobs. That's why the Enviro fascists and their paid stooges like Markey hate it.

narciso

Well they give the crook some street cred, while they painted the sincere candidate like

I think I have said before that I just love the footnotes to old reports because I can then track down the complete lack of support for whatever is being pushed. What I am looking at right now is laying out when everything changed internationally and why. It was written for insiders. Of course I think I qualify but I doubt if the typical educrat would agree.

Anyway it's about when science changed and why and I keep looking at those aspirations and seeing the Evmtal Pres pictured and described in that article clarice linked. When we took the kids to Italy for a month the year I homeschooled and we traveled one of the things that made the greatest impression was a Green Party/Communist hammer and sickle/let's just jam to loud music march we came across near the Colosseum after seeing michelangelo's sculpture for julian II at st peters in chains. No bus service and the march was why and the kids were just mesmerized.

So now my visual for the aspirations I am reading about and why Mann thinks actual facts do not matter is sort of a combo of that blond pictured in the article and the movement and sounds of that Italian march.

"We want citizens to have opinions about scientific matters so we can manipulate their emotions. We do not want them to have the facts to interfere with our propaganda campaign." is a rough description of what is desired.

And when someone like monckton provides overwhelming facts and backs up his statements, silence is the result. The void was consciously created by state institutions.

Just watched a heated discussion on CNBC on what is the reason for our high Oil prices between a Ms Dougher from something like the Petroleum World, and an Obama Talking Points weasel.

The Obama guy tried to say Obama's hands are completely clean in all of this and he has had no effect on Oil Prices---it's all somebody else's fault.

Since the increase in the price of Oil is obviously not the fault of anybody in the Administration, and since it couldn't be no matter what this Administration did, I wish somebody would ask Obama or Chu that back when they did believe it would be a great thing to have gas prices in the US reach European levels, what was the method they were contemplating using to raise those prices, since it was actually impossible for them to effect prices at all---why did they even bother?

To drill more wouldn't effect prices, to drill less wouldn't effect prices, nor would refining more or less effect prices. So given all those talking points, why the hell do we even have a Secretary of Energy since he can't possibly effect the price of gas, and Obama can give billions to Solyndra all by himself since he's already a Nobel Laureate?

Porchlight

I just read the piece Clarice linked about Lord Monckton and the Schenectady Showdown. Wow! Just incredible. Linking again:

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/03/10/moncktons-schenectady-showdown/

One amazing thing is that the piece was written by a 2011 Texas A&M grad who himself (if I read the bio note correctly) was an environmental activist in college. This guy, Justin Pulliam, has a major future ahead of him if he continues to write like this.

"We want citizens to have opinions about scientific matters so we can manipulate their emotions. We do not want them to have the facts to interfere with our propaganda campaign."

RSE,

That's the core of the French Endarkenment. Hayek traced the development of scientism (pseudo-science in support of whichever facet of the socialist/communist/fascist prism on display) from its inception in The Counter-Revolution of Science. The success of the propaganda can be best understood by examining the horror elicited by the very thought of baby seals being clubbed in contrast to the utter indifference shown by the same people to human babies being butchered. That's scientism at it's finest and needs to be remembered when the "but they intended" excuse is waved as their bloody shirt.

I am glad my comment was taken as it was intended. I don't know why my little voice had me thinking otherwise, but it did.

From BR's link:

" The author of this article personally documented and published the scrubbing done by Justia, documented the failure of Tim Stanley’s explanation for the “errors”, and assisted in the research which connected Justia.com to Public.Resource.Org, where Stanley is on the board ofdirectors. Public.Resource.org is the source of Supreme Court materials in data form Justia.com receives for publication. Public.Resource.org is owned and run by Carl Malamud, and funded in part by the Center for American Progress once run by John Podesta, and funded by George Soros. This is a direct connection to the Soros Foundation, a major source of political donations to Barack Obama and the Democrat Party. Justia erased “Minor v. Happersett” along with text quoted from the case out of its Supreme Court servers deliberately in an effort to minimize the ability of the public to find the case by searching for it, significantly reducing its apparent importance.

These two separate efforts, raising the profile of the Senator’s birth certificate in as controversial a manner as possible, while minimizing the legal role of Minor v. Happersett succeeded. Barack Obama was able to illegally win the election, and illegally take office. It was stolen right in front of the American public.

The house of cards is about to come tumbling down around Barack Obama’s ears as the momentum of evidence builds. Law enforcement has found his birth documents to be “highly suspect” as a forgery. His draft card has similarly been found by law enforcement as being “highly suspect” as a forgery. The smoke screen cover created by his birth certificate, hiding Minor v. Happersett in a shadow of false mockery, has been blown away. Leaving the Supreme Court case alone on the stage, glaringly exposing Barack Obama as an usurper, an unconstitutional President of the United States.

The American Press is deliberately hiding the evidence published on the internet about this defrauding of the American public and the deliberate evisceration of the Constitution of the United States. It is hiding Barack Obama’s Fraud as it has been revealed by a Sheriff in Arizona. The silence of the American press would be unbelievable if it weren’t so blatantly obvious.

It is nearly as egregious as the audacity of Obama’s fraud itself."
