Barack Obama recently explained that he rallied to the aid of thirty year old political activist Sandra Fluke because... well, let him tell it:
And the reason I called Ms. Fluke is because I thought about Malia and Sasha, and one of the things I want them to do as they get older is to engage in issues they care about, even ones I may not agree with them on. I want them to be able to speak their mind in a civil and thoughtful way. And I don't want them attacked or called horrible names because they're being good citizens. And I wanted Sandra to know that I thought her parents should be proud of her, and that we want to send a message to all our young people that being part of a democracy involves argument and disagreements and debate, and we want you to be engaged, and there's a way to do it that doesn't involve you being demeaned and insulted, particularly when you’re a private citizen.
It's for the children, even if the 'victim' is thirty years old.
Well, the next time Big Daddy Barack has some free time, here are some real kids that were attacked for being involved in the poltical process. Let's cut to Newsbusters' transcript of Chris Matthews describing the kids making a backdrop at the Romney rally on Super Tuesday:
"Who are these featureless, young people waving those placards?" asked the Hardball host. "Are they androids?...They all are exactly in unison. Is this North Korea?"
Har de har - Chris is having fun now! Those aren't high school or college kids - they're androids from North Korea!
We all know Big Daddy Barack will be worrying about the impact of this on Sasha and Malia until he can contact Chris Matthews and some of the students at the event. Unless - here is a gloomy thought - Barack is raising kids who don't care if people they disagree with are attacked. Hard to imagine.
All those featureless young people being led by adults in singing the praises of their chosen one, mmm, mmm, mmm.

It could have been worse - they could have been shouting USA, USA. I mean isn't that what a bunch of clean cut white kids outside of DC are known to do?
Chris Mathews parents must be proud.

speaking of aliens and androids, I just saw a blog pience on Prof. Bell's movie that aired on HBO.
"Space Traders" is probably one of the most racialist programs ever to air on national TV. I don't believe "Birth of a Nation" ever made it.
"Undercover Brother" pretty well summed up some of the subsets of the African-American conspiracy theorists, but Space Traders shows the the philosophical and intellectual moonbattery that underpins this bullshit.
That this crazy bast*rd was allowed to foist this crap at Harvard really begins to allow us to understand how dramatically standards of scholarship have fallen.
That our current president was a starry eyed student of this clown helps define who he is ever more precisely. Perhaps that was Andrew Breitbart's insight.

Interesting to see that there's a MSM narrative now out there of how the Breitbart video fell flat.
In addition, Yahoo had a headline that Rush had refused advertising from AshleyMadison.com.
The sleaze just continues at an ever faster pace.

Thanks to Caro, Frau, JoanD, AliceH and a cast of thousands -- the Walker recall petition database is now online in searchable form. Note: this site is very busy today and response time is slow (to include timing out). I heard on the radio that the group is plugging in donated servers to add capacity, but they probably need bandwidth as well and that takes time. Best bet is to bookmark and check back in the wee hours.

daddy,
The whole point of the Breitbart video was to get the MSM wee-weed up and defensive about what they hid from voters in 2008.
Now they are all scrambling to figure out what "critical race theory" means and sweat while they wonder what the Breitbart people are going to release next.
Posted by: Porchlight | March 08, 2012 at 04:47 PM
narciso, that link is an absolute hoot! Good grief, Prof. Bell may well be a radical, but he is also a nincompoop. Ann Althouse is swooning on her own blog about what a respected professor he is, too. Makes me see Althouse in an altogether different light. No wonder she voted for Obama in the past and will do so again.

Well Porch if that was the goal, Mission Accomplished.
Soledad came across as unhinged and babbling, and the pompous white ass on her panel was as steaming a pile of smugness as I've ever seen. Pollack was great.

Althouse can shove it. I'd never go there if it wasn't for our JOM commenters who do such a good job tweaking her.
I expect her to vote for Obama again and if she admits it, she'll lose a lot of her readership. Many of these people are only there because she made a reputation for herself as a liberal who was open to reason.

Whenever I try to log-in to Breitbart.com I'm taken to a log-in screen for Sitecore. I googled it and didn't find any helpful info about the site, except it's something about advertising.

She's a Credentialed Moron, all is well;
'Brien's parents married in 1958 in Washington, D.C. Her father Edward, an Australian (from Toowoomba, Queensland)[5] of Irish descent, was a mechanical engineering professor.[6] Her mother, Estella, who is Afro-Cuban, was a French and English teacher.[6] O'Brien is the fifth of six children, who all graduated from Harvard College; O'Brien attended Harvard from 1984 to 1988, but did not obtain a degree until she returned in 2000.[7] Her siblings are law professor Maria (born 1961); corporate lawyer Cecilia (born 1962), businessman Tony (born 1963) - who heads a documents company;[5] eye surgeon Estela (born 1964); and anesthesiologist Orestes (born 1967).[6

Facts have a way of unattaching themselves to her, memes on the other hand;
O'Brien drew criticism from FactCheck.org on September 8, 2008, for falsely asserting, during an interview with a McCain campaign spokesperson, that vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, as Governor of Alaska, had slashed the special education budget by 62%,[14][15] when, in fact, she had increased it.[16][17][18] O'Brien was also criticized for these claims by other sources,[19][20][21][22][23] including the McCain/Palin campaign.[24]

From PJMedia:
Well, surprise, surprise, surprise (to quote an old TV show):
Health and Human Services Sec. Kathleen Sebelius appeared flummoxed by questioning from Sen. Ron Johnson (R., Wis.) at a hearing on the new health care law Wednesday.
Johnson challenged Sebelius over a number of the Obama administration’s claims about the new health care law, namely that it will reduce the deficit and allow individuals to keep their current healthcare plans.
On several occasions, Sebelius professed to have “no idea” what Johnson was talking about.
I’m sure you believe that she has no clue about things like deficit reduction:
JOHNSON: Right. So, the original estimate for deficit reduction–
SEBELIUS: I’m assuming–
JOHNSON: The original estimate for deficit reduction in the first 10 years was $143 billion, correct?
SEBELIUS: Yes–
JOHNSON: So now we, we’ve reduced that $143 billion by $86 billion – by not getting revenue from the CLASS Act – and now $111 billion because we’ve increased the mandatory costs of the exchanges, correct?
SEBELIUS: I’m assuming the numbers are correct. I’m sorry I don’t have them.
And she doesn’t know what Obama promised:
[JOHNSON:] It’s also true, that President Obama very famously said, ‘if you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor.’ Period. ‘If you like your healthcare plan, you will be able to keep your healthcare plan.’ Period. No one will take it away, no matter what. Now, we’ve granted quite a few waivers – about 1,200 to 1,700 waivers – on about 4 million Americans, correct?
SEBELIUS: I’ve no idea what waivers you’re talking about or–
And she doesn’t even know about the waivers her own department is issuing!
JOHNSON: Well, those are waivers–
SEBELIUS: On doctors and health plans, is that…I–
JOHNSON: Just waivers from having to implement portions of the healthcare law that probably would have allowed those – or forced those workers – off their employer-sponsored care.
SEBELIUS: Again, I’d be happy to answer these questions, but I have no idea what waivers you’re talking about–
