Seriously, report whether your paper has reported it--or your tv news station. They have no excuse not to--after all they all reported numerous times the Seamus incident.
Not in mine, so far as I could tell (I made sure my search included the Food and Lifestyle section, in addition to News - heh).
There was a user-forum topic posted on whether the Obama campaign would stop or continue pressing the Seamus meme - references to Obama's dog story were indirect/obscure and deep in the comments.
It looks for all the world like wrapping up a story that was not actually covered.
Why would they carry it Clarice? They are all progs like DoubleDumbDave, and just as humorless. And they really really hate Alynsky tactics being used against them. But we wont be hearing any more about poor old Seamus so there is that.
How many cases of ACME cigars can Axelrod go through before November?
I think JiB is right-- best part of this. 'Bam's henchman Axelrod cooks up the Seamus story as an economy distraction, Ayers/'Bam fabricated the dog meat story in the first place and now it all comes back to blow up in 'Bam and the Media's face like a trick cigar! Just fabulous.
So why is the president rashly picking these stupid fights?
Apparently his team wishes to divert attention from generally bleak economic news. The economy still suffers from a dramatic spike in gas prices, chronic 8 percent–plus unemployment, sluggish growth, and serial $1 trillion annual deficits that have sent the debt soaring to $16 trillion.
These perfect storms often either destroy presidents or turn them into unpopular lame ducks. Obama should learn from the fates of his predecessors: There are enough forces in the world to destroy a presidency without needlessly creating more on his own
I will tell another reason. They have a bunch of advisors who think like DoubledumbDave...

Not being able to control the narrative would be the final nail in the coffin for the MFM. The 2010 elections should have been a heads up if those dumbasses were paying attention.

GMax. I know you and I disagree some here, but, the really, really stupid thing about the fight with the Catholic Church(and getting others involved) is that it could have been so easily avoided. All it required was a waiver from the abortion/birth Control wording for religious based organizations. That's it. I don't think the Bishops would have said a word about anything else. Now he's managed to join the Protestants and Catholics,(which will break down forthwith for various reasons) in a way that will probably at least hold through the elections. He took the One issue the Catholics never waver on, and shoved it down their throats. That was incredibly politically stupid.

Obama's claim to have eaten dog in Indonesia appears to be a fabrication. According to "Indonesian sources", it's just not done nor available where the Soetero family lived.
LUN
So what will the defense be now? "See, he didn't, because it wasn't available!"
Then why did he claim to?
What other claims in his "auto" biographies are false?
"None of the 55 staff members promised by Holder had materialized. On April 2, we bumped into Schneiderman on a train leaving Washington for New York and learned that the situation was the same".
I am once again impressed by the Romney attack and response team. This dog story is a good follow-up to the response to the attack on Ann Romney. Attack Ann, get counterpunched. Tweak Romney on the dog on top of the car story, get counterpunched. The only way to deal with a bully is to get in his face and match him head butt for head butt, and it looks as if Romney will be taking this approach.
Rob@10:06 That seems pretty definitive, leaving just one last explanation open to Obama - that he THOUGHT he was eating dog because his step-father TOLD him that's what it was, the scamp.
The first time my mother prepared duck, I did not want to eat it, because my older sister told me it was ghost. Did I believe it? Too good to check!
RobC-- thanks for that link -- it corroborates JiB's experience-- No Dog in Indo! Since 2008 I've been convinced that Dreams is utter fiction concocted by 'Bam and mostly Ayers filling in exotic details. TomM really documented that here at JOM. 'Bam's life story is a fiction, 'Bam himself is a useless weed smokin' punk who was in the vanguard of being carried along by Affirmative Action, he is a Commie, and an incompetent muppet. The final question is, how much damage can he cause in the next 9 months?
Ok here's a real *shocka* assuming Typhus posts it at some point in the near future:
Sudan's president, Omar al-Bashir, declared war on South Sudan, vowing to topple its government. The move comes after Sudan's parliament passed a resolution branding South Sudan's ruling party an enemy that "must be fought until it is defeated."
Sudan and South Sudan are embroiled in the worst clashes along their poorly defined border since the secession of the South last summer. The United Nations Security Council is considering sanctions on both countries in an attempt to end the violence, and demanded South Sudanese forces withdraw from their occupation of the 60,000-barrels-a-day Heglig oil field. Both countries continue to ignore calls to end the fighting.
"Obama's claim to have eaten dog in Indonesia appears to be a fabrication. According to "Indonesian sources", it's just not done nor available where the Soetero family lived."
OK, then as an adult he thought eating dogs is cool so he lied about. So he's a liar who fantasizes about eating dogs. Or he was telling the truth. It's not like there aren't dogs wandering the street in Indonesia or maybe even the family pet. Butcher shop, pet shop, all the same.
ThomasC-- other good signs -- Mitt's start packin' 'Bam (to move) line, Mitt telling interviewer that the Legacy Media is the enemy. Good signs I think.
CaptH-- you are no fan of Romney, how do you think he is doing?
There has been a kerfuffle started by a group of leftist Catholics and promoted by Politico opposing the Bishops opposing Obama. The usual liberation theology, Marxist, extremists.
The comments were interesting. Hard left communitarians calling the religiously observant right wingers and despising the Bishops for breaking with Bammers, several citing the New Testament.
This morning, the Vatican came down on the liberal umbrella organization for nuns in this country, calling them on their advocacy for issues such as gay rights, abortion, etc. There is a new dynamic at play, and maybe having a German Pope with conservative views is having an effect.
Clarice,
I can only report on the online edition, no coverage, but a ridiculous opinion piece by Jim Jenkins Mitt Romney, meet Mutt Romney garnered these comments:
Gotta love Jenkins timing. Better "Mutt Romney" than "I Eat Mutts Obama."
Apply the same analysis to our dog eating President and then come back. Your bias has blinded you to any objective analysis.
The UN is utterly frackin' useless in it, sanction the regime that carried out genocide
in Darfur in the past, and the ones trying to defend themselves. From Steinhauer's Milo Farrow series, we know that China is ruthless
about holding on to their concession there.
NK, yes, it is also an externally dangerous situation in which the enemies of the US observe it is leaderless. But they should also know that other forces exist who know their plans, and who can and are already acting.
The war between Sudan and South Sudan is no surprise. Remember that one of the ships hijacked off of Somalia a couple of years ago was carrying a regiment's worth of T-72 tanks from the Ukrain to South Somalia. They've been ramping up for this for a long time.
Problem is, Clarice, I haven't read my local paper (S.D. Union-Tribune) in six or eight years--I get all my news and commentary from web aggregators. We still subscribe, and every morning I pull out the sports section and the rest of the paper sits on the kitchen counter until it is thrown out.
CaptH-- wow, he said something positive about Mitt. I will say this; like CC I too like Ann better, she seems like a smart tough no-nonsense lady. I married one of those, they are great. Of course Ann had to be tougher, she had to see through the shenanigans of 5 sons, all Mitt had to do was bamboozle the boards of ossified industrial companies in the '80s. That was easy enough.
I'm not CH but I believe I might have a lower opinion of T1000 than he does and I'm heartened to see T1000 has equipped his Lanquid Response Team with shock collars. He has also shifted the message in a manner which indicates his strategists recognize the shift in the Muddle is very unlikely to reverse prior to the election. Let's see if he capitalizes on the Exxon-Rosneft agreement by raising the Shell Chukchi Sea blockade by the EPA. I note the Exxon-Rosneft agreement is a direct rejection of the President's groveling promise to Medvedev. Putin and Medvedev obviously know the value of an Obama promise.
BTW-- further evidence that your humble commenter has been correct since last summer when 'Bam started campaigning, all left and all tribal all the time from 'Bam: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0412/75323.html
As the present and former owner of Airedales, Wire-haired terriers and Schnauzers, I'd suggest another energy source explanation for this somnolent software.
RickB-- didn't mean to leave you out as a harsh critic of Mitt. The Model "T1000" ABO should be programed to say only 2 phrases between now and November "jobs" and "gas prices"; I think 53% of the voters will crawl over glass to vote ABO.
I think I came up with the T 1000 source code,
I'll give Ann for having done the pushback against the Kraken, I mean Rosen, Treacher who has been one of the good guys even before
he joined the Daily Caller, really deserves credit on this front,
Now 'the wonderful democratic' Egyptian revolution, seems to have hit a snag, as the SCAF is acting like an entitled military caste often does, disqualifying their guy as well as well as two Salafi members of the Kingston trio, Ismail and
Shater.
calling Dr. Freud, Dr. Sigmund Freud, for VP Rubio: "Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said what is on everyone's mind (and maybe his): "If I do a good job as vice president . . ." at a Newseum forum today."
"Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack Obama does with mine."
I honestly don't get the thinking at Obama Inc. that produced the "I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth" meme, when the rest of the sentence is obviously "..., but, as you've seen the past three years, Michelle and I are making up for lost time on your dime as fast as we can." Flying in their personal trainer from Chicago...building an extravagant canopied approach to Ghandi's home, only to sign in with the wrong year...taking numerous expensive vacations but gifting the Queen of England with a compilation of his insipid speeches...etc, etc..etc..
A horse is a horse, of course of course,
unless he's Obama's new main course,
and then of course, I hope that horse,
ain't the famous Mister Ed!
Go right to the source and ask the horse.
If he hopes Obama eats dog in stead
He's always say that when Obama is fed.
He hopes it ain't Mister Ed.
Obama yak-it-ti-yak's for steak
and wastes your time of day,
but Mister Ed will never speak,
unless he has something to say...
A horse is a horse, of course of course,
And this one will talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
"Please Obama don't eat me as borscht"
Well, listen to this...
DebinNC-- add in the whole Seamus the dog stuff involved an overloaded station wagon for the annual family summer vacation. How does that image hurt Romney with Indy voters? the Romneys heading to Nova Scotia or wherever in the Ford wagon, like the Griswalds in National Lampoon, and Seamus draws short straw? meanwhile Empress FatassI jetsets herself and her kids and her loser husband at $181K/hr in AFI all over the world! Don't see how Axelrod though bringing up vacations was good idea.
I walked into the radio station this morning and Dick's desk was covered with newspapers - things outlined in red for today's show, that sort of stuff. I opened the show by saying something about dogs, and proceeded to make a few cracks "german shephard's pie" in the first few minutes. He had no idea what I was talking about.
And when I told him, he really didn't want to know. I managed a few more references anyway.
"Sales of previously owned U.S. homes in March unexpectedly fell for the third time in the last four months, showing an uneven recovery in the housing market."
The Mr Ed stuff above was a reminder that Obama authorized the slaughter of American horses for human consumption a few years back, so it ain't just puppies on Barrack's menu.
Narc/Daddy-- the Reuters report of the Exxon/Rosneft deal was very interesting. First it shows the real long-term harm the 2010 spill will have on BP-- they didn't have the free cash to do this Rosneft deal. Second -- Exxon and Putin are telling 'Bam to bugger off, we don't need you to make money. Finally, Rosneft's CEO says the company's 10 year ramp up of daily oil production assumes $90 Oil in "Real" Dollars. I found that very interesting -- so if the Dollar RE-values 20%, we are looking at $65/barrel oil? very interesting
Oh, the horror !

Posted by: NK | April 19, 2012 at 10:21 AM

The UN is utterly frackin' useless in it, sanction the regime that carried out genocide
in Darfur in the past, and the ones trying to defend themselves. From Steinhauer's Milo Farrow series, we know that China is ruthless
about holding on to their concession there.

So Carter blasts the neighbor's cat with bird shot. That means probably a 12 or 20 gauge shotgun. He really is an evil old coot these days.

NK, yes, it is also an externally dangerous situation in which the enemies of the US observe it is leaderless. But they should also know that other forces exist who know their plans, and who can and are already acting.

Speaking of The One, earlier this morning in one of the comments sections of the many blogs I hastily read, a commenter renamed him "The Once."
I like it. I think we should all call him The Once from now until he is gone.

I warmed up to Ann Romney. That bit of glow is helping with her hubby.

Yes I agree with cc's 10:43. Btw is this garbage software being extremely slow for other people starting last night?
Posted by: Captain Hate | April 19, 2012 at 10:44 AM
The war between Sudan and South Sudan is no surprise. Remember that one of the ships hijacked off of Somalia a couple of years ago was carrying a regiment's worth of T-72 tanks from the Ukrain to South Somalia. They've been ramping up for this for a long time.

Yes, I mentioned that last night also. Frau told me I was just being terrierized.

Posted by: NK | April 19, 2012 at 10:55 AM
NK,
I'm not CH but I believe I might have a lower opinion of T1000 than he does and I'm heartened to see T1000 has equipped his Lanquid Response Team with shock collars.

That might be a good thing, Pagar. Mueller is still there and may not trust whoever they're supposed to share with.

RickB-- didn't mean to leave you out as a harsh critic of Mitt. The Model "T1000" ABO should be programed to say only 2 phrases between now and November "jobs" and "gas prices"; I think 53% of the voters will crawl over glass to vote ABO.

What does Mr Ed call dog meat in Obama's America?
An hor d'oeuvre.

I think I came up with the T 1000 source code,
I'll give Ann for having done the pushback against the Kraken, I mean Rosen, Treacher who has been one of the good guys even before
he joined the Daily Caller, really deserves credit on this front,
Now 'the wonderful democratic' Egyptian revolution, seems to have hit a snag, as the SCAF is acting like an entitled military caste often does, disqualifying their guy as well as well as two Salafi members of the Kingston trio, Ismail and
Shater.

IOWAHAWK-David Burge recently tweeted:

Hello, I'm Mister Ed
A horse is a horse, of course of course,
unless he's Obama's new main course,
and then of course, I hope that horse,
ain't the famous Mister Ed!
Go right to the source and ask the horse.
If he hopes Obama eats dog in stead
He's always say that when Obama is fed.
He hopes it ain't Mister Ed.
Obama yak-it-ti-yak's for steak
and wastes your time of day,
but Mister Ed will never speak,
unless he has something to say...
A horse is a horse, of course of course,
And this one will talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
"Please Obama don't eat me as borscht"
Well, listen to this...
I am Mister Ed

The Mr Ed stuff above was a reminder that Obama authorized the slaughter of American horses for human consumption a few years back, so it ain't just puppies on Barrack's menu.
Cats...Be very afraid.

Exactly, NK. A list of all the Obamas' publicly-funded extravagances would reach all the way to Martha's Vineyard.
On the Bone Appetit front, nothing (I see) in our local paper or the nearby Charlotte Observer.

Answer No. Not in the ADN (McClatchy).
How about the rest of you guys?
My bet is 95 percent of our local papers won't mention it.
