"Hekawi" is the G rated version of the old "Fukawi" joke.
I believe Chief Wild Eagle told the story of how the tribe got it's name. They were wandering lost and fell off a cliff and when they came too some strangers heard them say "Where the heck are we?" and thought they were saying "We're the Hekawi."
Old old joke. Funnier when he told it.

For some reason Deval Patrick's comments today remind me of the scene in Ghostbusters when they "Cross The Streams:"
Remember in Ghostbusters at the end when Egon suggests a desperate move:
"Egon Spengler: I have a radical idea. If the door swings both ways, we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
Peter Venkman: How?
Egon Spengler: We'll cross the streams.
Peter Venkman: Excuse me, Egon, you said crossing the streams was bad.
Ray Stanz: Cross the streams...
Peter Venkman: You're gonna endanger us, you're gonna endanger our client. The nice lady who paid us in advance before she became a dog.
Egon Spengler: Not necessarily. There's definitely a very slim chance we'll survive.
[A pause as they consider this.]
Peter Venkman: I love this plan! I'm excited to be a part of it. Let's do it!"
Here's Deval Patrick today on Big Chef Elizabeth:
“Elizabeth Warren is my friend and I believe she should be the next U.S. Senator from Massachusetts. I love this candidate. I’m excited about this candidate.”

I had forgot about this but 4 years ago during the Texas Primary, I crossed over and voted for the Hildabeast in Operation Chaos. I stood in line for a Democrat ballot in the same precinct that yesterday had the Maytag repairman working the Democrat primary. It was a ghost town. I gotta believe that foreshadows a major thumping for Democrats. I bet the story is the same in many places, as the thrill is gone.

I have an appointment next week with an admissions counselor to see what I might be able to do. Options on the table:
1. Admitted as a non-degree seeking student for 15-18 hours to up my gpa and refresh my technical foundation. Training wheels.
2. Admitted to NOVA (the community college here) in a transfer program. Training wheels and helmet.
3. Let the idea of going back to school (after paying off my student loans in one big bite) marinate for a while longer to see if it is what I want to do.

“The problem he’s got this time is … the enthusiasm,” said veteran analyst Charlie Cook. “People can dislike Romney all day long. If [Obama’s supporters] don’t show up, what in the hell difference does it make that everybody likes him?”

GMax,
The cross tabs on the Marquette Wisconsin poll illustrate Cooks point. With pushed leaners the split was 46/46/8. The certainty of voting next Tuesday was 92%R, 78%D, 69%I. The certainty of voting in November was 93%R, 84%D, 78%I. That means that with a 50/50 split in polling, Governor Romney wins 52% to 48%.
That's why AG My People is out drumming up business with black pastors, although it ain't gonna help much with the 75% of the electorate without enhanced melanin.
