Team Obama can blame Bush, the Europeans, the Chinese, 'headwinds', or whatever else they want. But on the ballot this November, folks will choose between Romney and Obama, so the choice is between leadership and excuses.
And lest you wonder whether things can get worse - the Supreme Court decision on ObamaCare drapes a fog of uncertainty over the markets for another month, or longer, depending on the ruling.

Last night's fundraiser for the Lightbringer was apparently held at the uptown apartment of the Chairmain of the Blackstone Group, who would be considered by most to be part of the evil Wall Street establishment the President so deplores.
$35K+ per plate, and the double secret leak out of the affair is that he needs to be reelected to "fix" Obamacare. Sounds like his stooge, Fireplug McNasty, may be making late night phone calls from the SC cloakroom.
All I think Romney really has to do is hammer consistently on the fact this guy is the Greatest Hypocrite Ever Known.
Sucking up to oligarchs like Buffet and film stars and Wall Streeters and pizza heiresses sort of goes directly against the whole Democratic Party Man of the People meme,n'est pas?

In my mind, the only time I think Obama thinks about Americans being employed is when it affects his fundraisers. I mean it is pretty hard to raise $35,000 + when you're selling pencils on a street corner.

I'm looking forward to that glorious moment in time when the Obama/Plouffe/Axelrod Genuine Rocket Car has driven off the cliff, the motors sputter out, and it hangs suspended in the air for a split second. Just long enough for Axelrod to hold up a sign saying, "Bye bye". Obama will, of course, be sleeping in the back seat, little collectivist, artificially sweetened, low-fat sugar plums dancing in his head.
At this point it would be only wishful thinking to hope a (metaphorical) 50-ton safe follows them down into the canyon to land on their bewildered heads as they emerge from the impact crater. Tiny umbrella included.

Here's Howie Carr's newest uncovery (is that a word?)
" (Liz) wrote in 2000 that foreclosure sales “are notorious for fetching low prices...And boy, would she know.”
"Here’s a foreclosed property she picked up in Oklahoma City...for $4,000 in 1993. She transferred it to her brother and his wife in March 2004 and they sold it for $30,000 in February 2006...Those kinds of returns make you a 1 percenter."
"The prior owners of the $4,000 house were Richard and Shelley Walter, who had a son who served as a Marine in Iraq."
Pretty nice pick up by the gal who provided the “intellectual foundations” of OWS.

I only wish Captain Hate were here to help teach the lad the ins and outs of the game.
One thing I truly regret in life is that when I went to DeMatha I lived too far away to go out for the basketball team. I was pretty undersized then and doubtlessly wouldn't have survived the first cut; but I'd bet I'd have been a lot more fundamentally sound from running drills for Morgan Wootten than I did learning it on the playgrounds and as a gym rat. Although one of the biggest compliments I ever got was one evening when I still went to the playgrounds, an older man came up to me after a game and told me that he made his son concentrate on how I played the game at both ends. I modestly thanked him while telling him how fundamentally unsound I was compared to how I wished I was; but also told him that the other guys on the court were complete goofballs that nobody should ever try to learn from.
For any of you country fans (Janet or Porch specifically; but anybody else who might be) are you Marty Stuart fans? I read an article on him recently in the WSJ and got interested in his recent disc "Nashville Volume 1: Tear the Woodpile Down" which I'm listening to now. I'd never been interested in him before, thinking he was one of those "modern country" mooks that the Nashville finishing schools spit out like clockwork and were about as interesting as schlock rock (which he admits to having been). But this disc is very very good for all the right reasons: Good songs and hot performances.

"I can't say it enough. Liberalism, leftism, progism...whatever you call it. It destroys everything it touches. The cogs have destroyed the credibility of scientists by using that profession to advance socialism by climate fraud. They've destroyed the profession of journalism by using that profession to advance socialism thru propaganda. They've destroyed broad swaths of the american public...most notably black americans...by race baiting towards socialism, the entertainment industry is dying a slow death due to it's servility to PC self censorship and they've destroyed the entire educational system, especially higher ed, by using education as a brain washing tool instad of a tool that teaches people to think for themselves."
Now it is destroying comic book characters.
