Hey, Mel, I checked my email and see I did not receive my super duper Mel decoder ring, so do you suppose you could give us the gossip and rumors about JJjr in something even idiots like me could understand (at least a little). I saw yesterday at L.I. (I think) some speculation he may have attempted suicide.
" SACRAMENTO — With the fate of his tax initiative hanging in the balance, Gov. Jerry Brown was in a tight spot.
So he called Dave Macdonald, the top elections official in Alameda County, for a conversation about Macdonald's progress in verifying thousands of petition signatures needed to help move Brown's measure onto the November state ballot.
The governor's backers had submitted the documents to California's county registrars late, and now, in mid-June — only a couple of weeks before the deadline —couldn't be certain the measure would qualify.
Within a week of Brown's call, Alameda County —where Brown has a home, was mayor of Oakland and had the second-largest number of signatures outstanding — had finished work on his proposal and sent the results to the secretary of state, who places propositions on the ballot. But the county's work remained undone on petitions submitted earlier, state records show.
Macdonald insists the governor didn't ask for, or receive, special treatment. Brown's office referred queries about the call to Ace Smith, a spokesman for the governor's tax campaign. Smith said it was merely a "friendly inquiry."
But the episode highlights what Brown's critics say is a pattern of the governor and fellow Democrats unfairly manipulating the electoral process."
A couple of days ago - when you were no doubt celebrating, I left you a link about an investigation into the SS# debacle, and how the author thinks it is much bigger and much easier to prove.
I have no idea where it is, or where I found it, but you might want to google it.
Its not just me telling you the landslide is coming. Here is Ralph Nader from the left saying it too:
“The coming days await a new and open jolting push by prominent outside Democrats who fervently want to wrench their party back from the abyss, from its own self-imposed sense of dread before a devastating, self-inflicted November defeat.”
Politico has more, but why would you want to subject yourself to Nader BS, seriously?
Morning all! I'm curious, marlene, how do they cover Governor Lepage, up there, he must seems like one of those mythical creatures, the chimera
or the basilisk, to them.
While Arizona is sending Christians to jail for holding bible study on their own property; the Obama regime is: "calling prolifers and anti Fidel Castro Americans terrorists"
Meanwhile every Obama regime government function seems determined to punish any employee or American who does anything to upset any Muslim.
". The Muslim Brotherhood determines U.S. counterterrorism policy and its operatives meet regularly with Janet Napolitano as well as the Department of Justice staff."
Well they did go after Posada Carriles, the fact that they don't classify by nationalist
groups, like with Cuba and Croatia, leave out Palestinians in their example, or the FALN,
or the Weathermen, makes their nomenclature ominous.
If I were to file a background report of investigation with a Fortune 500 or Fortune 100 client with the information developed about Barack Hussein Obama, I could only reach one conclusion with the highest degree of certainty: the man known as Barack Hussein Obama II would FAIL in all aspects relating to his true identity.
For a Fortune 100 company, that is problematic. For America, that is terrifying.
Jane, I think what you read initially was in WND but this is a very interesting article in the Canada Free Press a couple of days ago.
Here is another exerpt:
To further complicate matters, certain self-proclaimed fact-checking websites and even some news sites have actively edited or even expunged their records regarding this issue over the last few years, thus creating more confusion for an inquiring public. As investigators know, guilty persons and accomplices embrace and perpetuate confusion to hide the truth behind such matters.
In my 12:14 comment, the last sentence should read "CAIR and OR the MB (Muslim Brotherhood)concur."
There is also another group that the Obama regime is really intend on helping.
"Marcelo Rivera, representing the group Latinos Para La Revolución (“Latinos for the Revolution”), told the Chicago Civil Rights Examiner, “The individual mandate was the most important part of the law… We are still working with officials to make sure that undocumented Latinos will receive only the best health care possible. We don’t want them attending those free clinics with doctors that have no experience.” Apparently, the free clinics with young doctors who know all of the current medical procedures are to be reserved especially for Americans who have been put out of work by under-priced illegal laborers".
I expect the free clinics (with the untrained doctors) will actually be for the Americans working in private industry which the Obama regime seems to oppose more day. Illegals coming to America will be given the absolute best care the American taxpayer can provide.
So I have a hypothetical question. Suppose Romney is elected, but the Senate stays Democrat and Dingy Harry prevents repeal of Obamatax. Can President Romney, purely using executive authority, eliminate all health insurance plans for all federal employees? Then the federal gov would "pay" the "tax" (to itself) and the federal employees would all pay the tax and wouldn't have insurance.
The Hatettes and Hater-tot will all be here just in time for the cold front to break through; everyone but son-in-law who will be holding down the home front. Plus I got a facebook friend request from our French exchange student from the 90s and hopefully we'll be able to do a family skype session with her.
"Drones will not be late to briefings, start fights at happy hour, destroy O-clubs, attempt to seduce others' dates, spill flaming hookers, purchase huge wristwatches, insult other Services, sing 'O'Leary's Balls," dance on tables, yell 'Show us your tits!!!' or do any of the other shit that we know wins wars."
mel, thanks for the clarification. If you're looking for Django, try his stuff with Stephane Grapelli. Wonderfully evocative. Grapelli died not too long ago in his early 90's I believe, and did some great stuff with Toots Thielemans as well.
Will wait for Clarice to recover before welcoming her back....but welcome back if you're on line now, Clarice.
Melinda, thanks for the info on CFP. I guess it is too much to hope that any outlet that is not "right of the right" will touch this stuff. I just think that fraud on the BC, SS number and the draft registration, as well as no school records being released is unconscionable. The situation is rife with possibilities for blackmail. Nor do I think impeachment is a good idea.
Just enough solid reporting to help in his defeat.
@Pagar -- You Go!! It's just getting worse. There's a book out that is a must read about Americans in a small town who stand up to federal tyranny. It's a thriller & about each of us to do something. I am recommending it to everyone.

Let the Nov. elections decide who will rule in the White House cause it will make little difference since congress has only a 7% approval rating & still not representing the people. It's just wrong.
the nerve of obama criticizing romney for vacations he pays for himelf, while taxpayers are paying for the obamas exorbitant vacations, parties, etc. I don't think I'm the only one who can figure that out, so I think attacks along that line are going to backfire on Ohypocrite.
I think the best line of attack against Ohypocrite is to point at Europe and call him a Pied Piper who is leading America off the same cliff. That attack touches not only economic notes, but historic and patriotic notes about what America is all about, as opposed to Europe.
narciso, the liberal pc crowd in Maine has expressed much feigned outrage at Gov.Lepage's gruff,brusque,un-pc comments. He has an interesting life story. He was kicked out of the house by an abusive father at the age of 11,to fend for himself. The issue of domestic violence is very important to him and sadly accounts for many homicides in ME.Now,about the Romney's vacations.Wolfeboro,NH is dear to our hearts because hubby and I met there while working summer jobs.(38 years ago!)Wolfeboro is not Martha's Vineyard or Kennebunkport.Yes,beautiful homes have been built on the lake. But Wolfeboro has remained a charming little village.
I will say that the fake ss card story has been circulating for a long time.I do think he was not using the proper ss no. It might be that he just made up that number and kept it. It may be something more sinister. But I sure won't take the CFP's word for it.
the left just doesn't have anyone like Iowahawk, a truly brilliant humorist. All their humorists, so-called, are mean, vulgar and nasty. This is one more proof that our side is the right side.
It's not new to science, because the math was needed when it became obvious the "atom" wasn't the whole enchilada. So you got "quarks." Richard Feynman's colleague, Gell-Man, loved to read James Joyce.
Gell-Man plucked "quark" from Joyce. Fitting. Since Joyce didn't believe in god, either.
Well, the republican party never identifies its internal problems, publicly. However, there's still: Nixon. Ford, who never got elected. And, the elder Bush who got only one term. And, who gave the Supreme Court Souter and Thomas.
How could the party have done better?
Maybe, stepping up to the plate and being honest about past mistakes ... would have improved the party's image?
What have you got now? Romney. Why? Because the republican party let "Iowa" begin the "debate" on who'd be presidential enough to "choose."
DEWEY WRIT LARGE.
How come you gleefully go after Obama, and not McCain?
Yes, yes, everyone, let's vote for the guy this potty-mouth and BF want, that man of such great talent, depth and breadth. The man of such great skill, he set about destroying America and has managed to come close to doing so in a short 3.5 years. Our Liar-in-Chief, the court jester of the credentialed idiot class. We give you that great statesman and economic powerhouse ... Barrack Hussein Obama, Jr. His greatest talent, spending other people's money. Forget the man running against him who spends his own money, who is even more credentialed than those who oppose him, who has more integrity in his little finger than they can gather under their Greek columns in a lifetime.
"The health care law "includes the largest set of tax law changes in more than 20 years," according to the Treasury inspector general who oversees the IRS. The agency will have to hire thousands of workers to manage it, requiring significant budget increases ..."
"The IRS is expected to spend $881 million on the law from 2010 through 2013, hiring more than 2,700 new workers and upgrading its computer systems. But the IRS has not made public information about its spending plans in the following years, when the bulk of the health care law takes effect."
"The lack of information makes it impossible to determine whether the IRS will have adequate workers to enforce the health care law, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration said in a report three weeks ago. The report, however, concluded that "appropriate plans had been developed to implement tax-related provisions" of the law."
"In 2010, House Ways and Means Committee Republicans issued a report saying the IRS may need as many as 16,500 additional auditors, agents and other employees "to investigate and collect billions in new taxes from Americans.""
Cross your fingers that more like this will appear to help LIVs understand they are about to get screwed.
Even Robert Reich has had it with this miserable incompetent:
"In Ohio yesterday, Obama reiterated that he had inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression. That’s true. But the excuse is wearing thin. It’s his economy now, and most voters don’t care what he inherited."
Yes and its amazing to watch the rats getting off the good ship Obama which is taking on water deep...
We can try to figure out which makes less sense, BF, or Riane Eisler's caring economics.
So how would you feel if you were reading nonsense clearly tied to what you were seeing implemented all over the world and this is where you ended up as what the advocates all have in common.
It sucks to be a Democrat at least according to according to Michael Podhorzer, political director for the AFL-CIO.
“For example, one path to victory for Romney is through Ohio and one of Michigan and Pennsylvania,” Podhorzer said. “In an ordinary presidential campaign, he might have money try to attack in one of those states and Obama would have resources to fight back. But with super PACs, they can continue the campaigns in all of those states. That’s a much harder thing to defend against.”
Fighting to a draw in the cash battle also assumes that even if one side has a financial edge, it’s not gaping -- $1.2 billion to $1.7 billion, for instance. But Democrats publicly and privately fret that with the help of outside groups, Romney could open up a gap much larger than that.
“Yes, Democrats should be worried,” Burton said. "If Mitt Romney has the resources to dramatically outspend the president, it will be” damaging.
My heart bleeds, did you hear any of this when Zero was outspending McCain about 3 to 1? Sucks dont it Progs!
I received an email from a friend that asks me to sign a petition. The study sounds bogus to me and I am not sure how to check it out.
Hi,
The Navy is required to include comments on their Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) re: the use of high frequency underwater sound for testing in Hawaii, the California and Atlantic Coasts, and the Gulf of Mexico.According to their estimates it will deafen more than 15,900 whales and dolphins and kill 1,800 more over the next 5 years. Whales and dolphins depend on sound to navigate and live. Your signature and comment will have to be included in the EIS and could stop this Naval program, potentially saving the lives of these ocean creatures. The comments must be in by July 10, 2012.
That's why I signed a petition to U.S. Navy EIS Comments.
Yes, I am home,Jane. When I visited the friend mentioned above in Concord, Mass. a couple of weeks ago I got a question about what was it like living in a (backward and conservative insinuated) state like Utah. I responded that in my town I am to the right of most of my friends. The topic was dropped.

Then the federal gov would "pay" the "tax" (to itself) and the federal employees would all pay the tax and wouldn't have insurance.

Welcome home,by the way.

The Hatettes and Hater-tot will all be here just in time for the cold front to break through; everyone but son-in-law who will be holding down the home front. Plus I got a facebook friend request from our French exchange student from the 90s and hopefully we'll be able to do a family skype session with her.

So glad Clarice is back.
That Randy Barnett article linked by Ext. is wonderful. A very concise, lucid discussion of the "is it a tax" question.

Beats me TK, but Caro probably has it right.

mel, thanks for the clarification.

Caro's article is the one I read. Here it is.

I should have said landslide defeat.

The particle has no mass.

After the thread of a couple of days ago, I have to admit that I was surprised this came out from AP:
http://apnews.myway.com//article/20120707/D9VS2E3O0.html
Selected quotes:

I need help from some of you Navy guys.
I received an email from a friend that asks me to sign a petition. The study sounds bogus to me and I am not sure how to check it out.
Yes, I am home,Jane. When I visited the friend mentioned above in Concord, Mass. a couple of weeks ago I got a question about what was it like living in a (backward and conservative insinuated) state like Utah. I responded that in my town I am to the right of most of my friends. The topic was dropped.
