Isaac spares Tampa, so now the Republican conventioneers won't spare us.
ERRATA: Do keep in mind the media storm posture - if Isaac smites New Orleans, all blame goes to Rep. Governor Bobby Jindal. But if the New New Orleans is ready for a storm, all credit to Obama.
Maybe Obama will also "update" the effect of Katrina on Mississippi to include Himself while he's at it.

Looks like the storm is going to hit NO on Wednesday. That means Romney won't be speaking on Thursday. He will be working on the relief effort.
Posted by: Jim Ryan | August 27, 2012 at 02:14 PM
Obama will travel to NO to upstage the RNC. That's the breaks. And the media will eat it up.
But screw it, we've always had to overcome the media.

If things are going so great for the Dem's I wonder why that Anti-Romney guy had a machete strapped to his leg in Tampa, and why Lizzy Warren's henchman roughed up a reporter?
Maybe they didn't get the memo.

FWIW,
Work related Airport forecasts for Tampa, Pensacola and New Orleans show the following forecasts for the 28th:
Tampa: FM281400 17014G22KT P6SM VCTS SCT015 BKN025CB
(from 1400 GMT on the 28th, winds gusting to 22 knots, visibility more than 6 Statute miles, thunderstorms in the vicinity, and a broken layer at 2,500 feet, cumulonimbus clouds)
Pensacola: FM281300 08028G38KT 6000 RA BR VCTS BKN008 OVC015CB QNH2958INS
TEMPO 2813/2815 11035G45KT 0800 +TSRAGS BKN005 OVC010CB T30/2719Z T19/2810Z
(From 1300 GMT winds gusting to 38 Knots, (temporarily 45 knots) visibility reducing from greater than 6000 to 800, heavy thunderstorms, rain and hail, 500 feet broken layer and 1000 foot overcast with cumulonimbus clouds.)
New Orleans: 08Z 30 BKN 0225G35 OCNL -SHRA =
(From 0800 GMT on the 28th, 3000 feet broken sky layer, winds gusting to 35 knots, occasional light rain showers.)
So overall, at least for airport traffic, Tampa no big deal, Pensacola looking ugly, and New Orleans so far no big deal, tho' I think the company would be putting on a little extra gas and giving us an alternate landing airport if we were headed to P'cola or New Orleans.
It does advise to look at continuing SIGMET Updates on Tropical Storm Isaac's track updates.

"you'd think Betsy Warren would have learned the lesson from the time one of Marcia's minions shoved a guy trying to ask her a question."
Dave,
Up here a big turning point in the Joe Miller/Lisa Murkowsky campaign was after a Miller Campaign even when Miller had completely left the area, a local Lefty reporter and his Cameraman kept heckling Miller's Security detail, so a Security Detail punched back and handcuffed the reporter. The Cameraman took a photo of the handcuffed reporter, and they played it up big as if Miller was there and encouraged or approved of it. That hit the News and radio's and paper for the next few days and Miller got creamed for it, so I don't see why Warren should get a break since she actually was there.

Althouse on the movie 2016.
She posts a bit from Dreams...that has the line from Stanley - "They are not my people."
In the WaPo article "How Hawaii Shaped Him" by David Maraniss from 2008, Maraniss touches on Lolo working for the oil company too.
"He became a nondescript oilman, befriending slick operators from Texas and Louisiana who probably regarded him with racial condescension."
I remember because I wrote a letter to the WaPo saying that sounded made up!
"... Probably? How does Mr. Maraniss know this? Did he interview any of the "slick" operators? How did he know they were from Texas and Louisiana? Why is it assumed they regarded Mr. Soetoro with racial condescension? "
We've been dogging the MFM for years & it doesn't seem to make a difference. :(

I answered you at the end of the last thread. I saw the CNN special last night and it was excellent. Much longer than with Wallace. Turns out the Romneys shop at Costco and Ann buys Mitt's shirts in 3 packs there. Also he irons his own shirts and she was busy during the interview doing 14 loads of laundry, all the sheets and towels after the whole family went home after their week long vacation in NH.

Obama beat McCain 57%/41% in Oregon. He beat McCain 55%/44% in Pennsylvania. The PVI for Oregon is D+4, Pennsylvania D+2. Wyden took 57% in the 2010 Oregon Senate race, Toomey beat Sestak 51%/49% in Pennsylvania. No House seats changed party in Oregon in 2010. Five House seats flipped in Pennsylvania and the total House vote was 51.4% to 47.5%, Republican.
Oregon cannot be in play and Pennsylvania not be in play. Watch the belt buckle, not the head fakes.
